**Predator's secret phials: the complete chapter checklist, with Beach and Native routes** Predator's secret phials are easy to leave behind when a level is pushing you toward the next explosion. A couple of the early pickups need to be collected before you trigger the event that moves the chapter along. There are **eighty-five phials overall: fifty in Instincts and thirty-five in Evolution**. Below is a complete chapter checklist and a free lookup for every location, followed by all ten pickups in Beach and Native. The article itself does not reproduce eighty-five individual routes. This is for **Far Cry Instincts Predator**. Do not apply the list automatically to the original Xbox releases or to Vengeance. **Find the right chapter first** [MGPythagoras's complete phial guide](https://t.co/cqiEEAHNuT) has numbered directions under each chapter heading. Search the exact heading in the guide, then work through that chapter's five entries. **Instincts — five in each:** - Beach - Native - River - Rain Forest - Mines - Cliffs - Sub-Aquatic Facility - Dead Marshes - Wasteland - Black Forest Training has none. **Evolution — five in each:** - Pirate Enclave 2 - Pirate Enclave 3 - Shanty Town - Shanty Town Escape - Refinery Assault - Canopy Forest - Rebel Fortress, listed as **Rebel Forest** in the linked guide’s contents Pirate Enclave 1 has none. Keep separate notes for the two campaigns. A chapter total is a much better starting point than trying to remember every waterfall, wrecked vehicle and cliff visited during the whole game. **Beach: all five, in campaign order** 1. **First beach ledge.** Search the bushes beside the rock wall before the small encampment. Climb the concealed vines and follow the ledge. 2. **Waterfall detour.** After the command tent encounter, take the left route. Climb by the waterfall and inspect the alcove beside the larger falls. 3. **Stone arch over the river.** At the junction, go toward the arch. Follow its wall to the climbable slope and return along the top. 4. **Parking area by the hangar.** Follow the incoming enemy jeep's road at the second helipad. Look behind the barrels beside the truck. 5. **Before the final destroyed bridge.** Stop before the level-ending jump. Backtrack to the tree-filled valley beside the road; search its far end. The final bridge is the important warning. A collectible hunt is the time to brake and inspect the side route, not follow the chase sequence's momentum straight out of the level. **Native: all five, with the armory pickup before demolition** 1. **First camp's watchtower.** Reach the tower, jump onto its surrounding rail or fence and then onto the roof. 2. **Inside the armory.** Use the crates and shelving to reach the elevated rack with the large health pickup. Take the phial before detonating the explosives. 3. **Waterfall after the ATV interruption.** When Crowe's helicopter forces you off the vehicle, do not cross the bridge immediately. Descend left into the river and search underwater against the waterfall. 4. **Crowe's headquarters roof.** At the large building near the helicopter, use the exterior stairs and ladder to reach the roof. 5. **Under the final field's hut.** Before taking the vines out of the large open plantation area, crawl beneath the nearby hut. [Patt3rson's Predator walkthrough](https://t.co/Lyd0WnWzbd) supplies the surrounding chapter route and climbing details, making it a useful second reference when a short landmark description is not enough. Finish the armory search before demolition, and the final hut search before climbing onward. Those two pauses prevent avoidable backtracking. **Use the full lookup without losing your place** When moving on to River, mark Beach and Native as complete only after checking the game's recorded collection progress. Then begin a new five-item checklist. Continue that way through the chapter list rather than maintaining one enormous undifferentiated list of eighty-five objects. Name a pickup with both chapter and landmark. “The waterfall one” is not enough when Beach and Native each contain one. “Beach waterfall alcove” and “Native underwater waterfall” are much harder to confuse. Collected phials persist even if you die or restart. Check recorded progress when returning to a chapter so you do not waste time searching for an item you already took. Several later directions in the full reference involve swimming, gliders or a route that starts well before the object becomes visible. Read the whole entry before committing to a jump. When a route says the approach begins earlier in the chapter, searching directly beneath the object will not solve the problem. The chapter checklist covers the entire collection. The ten detailed early routes give you a clean starting point, and the numbered reference handles the remaining seventy-five without pretending they are all visible from the main path.
