**Halo: the rescue route and the four collectible stops** Halo: Campaign Evolved. This is the remake's second main mission, not the MCC version. Don't spend the opening minutes searching the crash site for an Anniversary skull. This mission's collectibles come later, once you have the Warthog. Keep some frag grenades if you plan to collect everything on foot; one of the later skulls needs an awkward jump. **Get off the crash site** Leave the lifeboat and cross the nearby bridge rather than waiting beside the wreck for the Covenant to catch up. Work through the ground enemies while watching for the Banshees behind you. A charged plasma-pistol hit can interrupt an aircraft, but that is not a promise that every stunned Banshee here becomes a usable vehicle. Reach the Marines and defend their position through the dropship waves. Replenish ammunition from the UNSC supplies before the fight spreads out. When Jackal shields are slowing you down, use plasma to open them up instead of spending every grenade you wanted for the collectible jump. After the defense, take the delivered Warthog along the underground route. **Forgotten: before leaving the tunnel system** On the descending underground road, watch the opening in the wall to your right where you can see the roadway looping below. Park safely, get out, and look over the opening. Drop onto the ledge beneath it for **Forgotten**, then return to the driving route. This is not an instruction to leap into the bottom of the whole chamber. Identify the actual landing ledge before stepping off. Once you are outside and visiting the three rescue areas, you have already passed this terminal. **Three areas, three skulls** The rescue sites can be tackled in different orders. Use their terrain to identify them rather than assuming “second site” means the same place on every run. **Rocky rescue site — Floor Is Lava.** At the area full of large rock formations, clear the enemies before climbing. Head to the high grassy position near the Marine with a sniper rifle, work across the adjacent upper rocks, then look down onto the central rock for the skull. You are approaching it from above, not searching the base of every boulder. **River and cave — Give & Take.** Follow the river upstream toward the cave between the rescue approaches. Green flying insects mark the relevant rock. The skull floats beside it. If you have continued all the way to the waterfall without spotting it, turn back and check the cave stretch rather than pressing farther into the wrong end of the valley. **Forerunner structure — Grunt Funeral.** This is the rescue area whose objective sends you underground. Stop above ground first. Climb the structure's sloping side beside the blue light and look across toward the skull's raised position. A frag-grenade jump can provide the extra height: line up the landing before committing, and begin with full shields. Do not combine repeated explosive jump attempts with a clean-survival run. If that jump is ruining the run, leave the skull for a revisit after obtaining Acrophobia in The Silent Cartographer. You do not need to turn a rescue mission into twenty identical failed jumps to prove a point. **Finish the rescues before moving on** Clear the objective areas and follow the remaining rescue markers. In the underground rescue site, descend and deal with the enemies below after collecting Grunt Funeral. Check your collectible list before finishing the last active rescue objective, because the mission can transition once the work is complete. Your four entries are **Forgotten, Floor Is Lava, Give & Take, and Grunt Funeral**. The site order is flexible; the distinction between the tunnel terminal and the later valley pickups is what keeps the route organized. Acrophobia can help with the route, but do not assume it preserves every achievement. Its restrictions are separate from the difficulty presets; use a normal jump attempt if achievement eligibility is your priority.
