**The Most Dangerous Game: the gold Elite is not just scenery** Halo: Campaign Evolved, Operation: METEORITE. Story and collectible spoilers. There is one thing to know before you get distracted by the firefights: the gold-armored Elite who keeps watching you matters. Temperamental needs three shield breaks at separate appearances. Seeing him, shooting once, and letting him leave is not enough. Keep a scoped weapon handy and deal with him promptly when he appears. **Williams, the woods, and the Wraith** Help the Marines in the opening fight, then enter the structure with Williams. The central area has UNSC ammunition and weapons. Outside, those sleeping Grunts are a trap. Shoot from a position you can defend rather than walking into their group for an easy melee kill. In the wooded fighting area, check the branches for Jackal snipers. The first gold Elite is on a raised position to your right. Strip his shield before he retreats. Then finish the regular opposition, including the cloaked Elites. The next encounter has a low approach and a higher firing position. The elevated route gives you a view, not immunity from the Wraith. Keep moving between shots and avoid standing where its mortar is already headed. Across the bridge, the second gold Elite waits near the distant structure. Break his shield before he escapes again. Johnson needs the next door opened. Expect reinforcements, including Ghosts, while he works. A captured Ghost can help, but do not trade a safe position for a reckless boarding attempt. **Recession:** return to the bridge's starting end and face the large closed door. Two explosives sit above it, beside the purple flames. Destroy both; the door opens onto the skull. Collect it before proceeding into the prison. **Prisoners and the third shield break** Work through the interior until you reach the captive Marines. Use their release console. Do not confuse their cells with the earlier cells containing Brutes; opening every cell is not the rescue objective. The route continues through armories. Replenish ammunition before leaving. Near the room where Johnson and Williams discuss the figures visible through the windows, stop for **Penitent Report**. Take the door opposite the windows overlooking the pods rather than the objective exit; the terminal is on its raised platform. The windows and the conversation are better landmarks than following an unexplained “turn right” from a different entrance. When the route next brings you outside, look up and left immediately for the third gold Elite. Break his shield, then clear the arena. With all three encounters handled in the same run, **Temperamental** appears inside the central illuminated structure. Pick it up; fulfilling the condition is not the same as collecting the skull. If an appearance goes wrong, recover from an available checkpoint before progressing. Do not assume starting at the final encounter will reconstruct the earlier steps. **The gravity bridges and Ghost** At the gravity-bridge section, descend to the control and activate the first crossing. A rocket launcher is available nearby. Fight across the central platform, watching the aircraft as well as the enemies in front of you. The second bridge activation is below the bridge; it opens the onward crossing. After the conversation and gate into the next outdoor fight, clear enough space to climb without being shot off the wall. **Ghost** is above the gate you just entered through, in a purple-flame fixture. From the valley side, climb the rock and tree route along the wall, using the small landing surfaces to reach the upper ledge, then jump toward the fixture. It is an awkward climb, not a skull sitting beside the main path. Acrophobia offers an alternative on a dedicated collectible revisit if you already have it. **Finish the barracks** Resupply before the final enclosed fight. Enemies enter from several doors, including an elevated doorway. Retreat toward cover between waves instead of holding the middle of the room. Prioritize the cloaked sword Elites before they close the distance; watch the upper firing position while handling Brutes below. The gold Elite eventually joins the actual final fight. Defeat the remaining opposition, activate the upstairs console, and return outside for the ending. Do not wait indefinitely in the cleared room for a cutscene that requires you to leave.
