**Spartan Strike: Operation B — Steadfast Pursuit**
Mission spoilers. Practical mission guidance; B-5's relay-switch sequence remains unverified, so this is not a complete operation walkthrough.
This is where the campaign moves from New Mombasa to Gamma Halo. The Conduit is still the objective, but the work changes: clear the interference, establish landing sites, find something powerful enough to open the Forerunner gate, then follow the signal inside.
There are two runs worth keeping separate here. B-4 has the undamaged-Wraith achievement, and B-6 has the Hollow/Pacifist Vidmaster. Neither is a good excuse to make your first clear harder than it needs to be.
**B-1: Gamma Halo**
Your first job is destroying five signal jammers. Work through the marked positions rather than treating this as a race to the opposite side of the map. When a jammer is shielded, destroy the shield generators before wasting ammunition on the protected machine.
Clear the enemies around each objective before standing beside it to finish the demolition. It is much easier to work out what is still protecting a jammer when you are not also trying to dodge a vehicle.
Once all five are gone, head to the clearing with the drop pod to finish. Destroying the last jammer is not the same thing as reaching the exit.
**B-2: Signal Fires**
You are securing three landing zones. At the first, eliminate the Covenant, then give the incoming beacon room to land. Continue to the second position and deal with its fuel-rod turrets before committing to the open space around the objective.
The third site has another Covenant clearance. Secure it, let the beacon arrive, then follow the stronger signal to the Forerunner gate. That gate is the problem the next missions are going to solve; you have not missed an ordinary infantry switch that opens it here.
For the Assault Ops, this mission gives you reasons to keep different tools available: grenade kills on Ghosts, melee kills on Jackals, and rifle kills on Elites. Treat those as deliberate cleanup targets rather than abandoning a safe fight to chase the wrong weapon kill.
**B-3: Lockout**
Follow the Marines' position, watching for cloaked Elites along the way. The first destination is not where the Marines stay. When their position changes, follow the updated marker instead of searching the empty area for the tank.
At the captured Wraith, clear the attackers and secure the Marines. Reach the vehicle to finish. The actual journey back through the gates belongs to B-4.
If you are working on the mission's Needler challenge, keep it for the stealth Elites. A weapon that is useful against the correct target does more for your challenge progress than carrying it through the mission and replacing it immediately before the relevant encounter.
**B-4: Knockin' on a Forerunner Door**
The Wraith is mission-critical. Losing it fails the mission; damaging it also spoils **Not a Scratch**, which requires it to finish at 100% condition.
The normal route alternates travel and power-core destruction. Use the Wraith to break the first gate's power source, continue through, and handle the next gate where the route requires you to leave the vehicle. Return to the tank while dealing with the Covenant reinforcements, then continue destroying the remaining cores toward the original Forerunner entrance. The last gate also needs the Wraith's mortar.
For **Not a Scratch**, do the fighting on foot wherever possible. Leave the tank well behind the encounter, clear the next section, then bring it forward to destroy the required core. Repeat. Do not park it beside enemies and assume an empty vehicle is automatically safe.
The later Ghost encounter is a useful sign that you are approaching the final stretch. Clear that area before bringing the Wraith through. If you use a surviving Ghost to return to your tank, check for any enemies around the parked Wraith before boarding it.
This is slower than shelling everything from the driver's seat. That is fine. Your target on this run is an untouched vehicle, not a stylish finish with one sliver of armor left.
**B-5: Dormant**
Inside the relay station, the objective is gaining access to the Conduit's signal. For the weapon-specific cleanup, keep a Suppressor available: the Assault Ops include Knights and Crawler Alphas killed with that weapon. Save Pulse Grenades for the Focus Turrets rather than spending every grenade on the first group of Crawlers.
Follow the active objective prompts as you work through the station. This section is a combat and challenge note, not a verified switch-by-switch route through the relay machinery.
**B-6: Run Through the Jungle**
The Kestrel carries you through much of this mission. Continue through the jungle to the courtyard holdout, survive until the blocked route opens, then take the next stretch to the barrier where you have to continue on foot. The extraction area has a further survival phase before you can finish at the landing-zone marker.
For **Vidmaster Challenge B**, activate **Hollow and Pacifist** before starting. Hollow leaves you dependent on your shield; Pacifist makes firing drain that protection. The Kestrel's weapons are not a free way around that combination.
Use movement and splatters instead of holding down the trigger. Avoid suicide Grunts and Focus Turret beams. A replacement Kestrel is available toward the upper side of the courtyard holdout if the first is badly damaged.
Once you reach the final area on foot, fight from cover rather than allowing yourself to be surrounded. Community routes use the pillars near the extraction side as shelter; treat that as cover, not guaranteed invulnerability. Keep watching approaching enemies, and move to the exit when the objective becomes available.
Finish all six missions for **Homing In**. The gold medals, individual Assault Ops, intact-Wraith run, and Vidmaster can be cleaned up separately.
