**Spartan Strike: all twenty Steam achievements** Steam achievement names; check your own platform's tracking separately. The first thing to check is whether Operation E is unlocked. Until all twenty-four earlier missions have gold stars, you cannot finish the campaign or its achievement list. Here is the rest of the checklist, including the conditions that a normal mission clear does not cover. **Finish the operations, then finish the stars** The five operation completions are **Welcome to New Mombasa**, **Homing in**, **Ready for Departure**, **Home Sweet Home** and **No Loose Ends**, in A–E order. Your first gold earns **Experienced**. All thirty golds earn **Battle Hardened**. You need gold on the first twenty-four missions to unlock Operation E in the first place, so the final operation isn't just a matter of selecting the next chapter after D. Look at the mission's target before buying another loadout. If you are just short, faster kill chains and a Score Booster are more relevant than adding random skulls. **Strike's skulls increase the credits awarded for finishing a mission, not your in-mission score.** This isn't MCC's skull-score system. **The five mission-specific achievements** - **A-3 — I Am Your Shield:** the Elephant must stay at full condition. A surviving but damaged escort isn't enough. - **B-4 — Not a Scratch:** keep the Wraith completely intact. - **C-4 — Night Knight:** prevent Watchers from bringing any Knights back. - **D-5 — Beam Dance:** finish without being hit by a Focus Turret. - **E-2 — Mine Sweeper:** avoid damage from the proximity mines, including their needles when they detonate. Make a separate note for these five. A mission-completed mark or gold star doesn't tell you whether its special condition was satisfied. **The five Vidmasters** Each one uses the sixth mission of its operation: - **A-6:** Blind + Thunderstorm. - **B-6:** Hollow + Pacifist. - **C-6:** Black Eye + Pacifist. - **D-6:** Famine + Thunderstorm. - **E-6:** Hollow + Black Eye. Learn each mission normally before attempting its pair. Blind removes useful HUD information; Famine cuts ammunition in dropped weapons; Thunderstorm makes the enemies harder. Hollow leaves you with only a shield. Black Eye makes melee attacks necessary for shield recovery, while Pacifist drains your protection when you fire. Those last combinations deserve more thought than simply holding the trigger longer. Choose where you will recover, which enemies you can reach safely and when you should move instead of continuing an unnecessary fight. Completing the specified mission with the specified pair is the goal; the achievement doesn't add a gold-star requirement. **Thorough: ninety separate Assault Ops** There are three mission-specific Assault Ops in each of the thirty missions, making ninety for **Thorough**. These are the weapon, enemy and method challenges shown for the mission. They aren't hidden skull pickups or terminals. Read the whole requirement. An Elite killed with a weapon that almost did the job is still the wrong kill if a grenade delivered the finishing damage. Likewise, a challenge naming a specific enemy rank isn't a request for any member of that species. Work on compatible counters together. Save incompatible ones for separate runs. Before repeatedly farming an opening, check that the displayed challenge counter actually advanced on your version; don't assume a historical guide's reset behavior proves your current save recorded it. **GEN2 and Big Spender** For **GEN2**, activate each of the eleven armor abilities at least once: Active Camouflage, Airstrike, Bubble Shield, Autosentry, Overshield, Proximity Mine, Regeneration Field, Seeker Drone, Shock Chain, Sprint and Teleport. Picking up an ability isn't the same as using it. Activate new ones when you get a safe opportunity and keep a simple checklist. Watch for enemy-dropped abilities as well as the pre-mission loadout options; some of the easily missed ones come from Promethean enemies. **Big Spender** tracks 10,000 credits spent on loadout upgrades. It doesn't ask you merely to hold that balance. Put upgrades toward missions you still need rather than spending everything on a mission you already finish comfortably. **Before calling it finished** Check all five operation clears, thirty gold stars, ninety Assault Ops, the five special-condition missions and all five Vidmasters. Then check the ability and spending achievements. If something hasn't unlocked, identify that particular missing record before replaying an entire operation. Old Windows and phone achievement services have their own availability and syncing problems. Don't delete a save or assume Steam has the same problem merely because an old Xbox guide recommends a workaround.
