**Halo Infinite: finishing the campaign achievements without losing track of the ring**
*Campaign locations and challenge spoilers below.*
Before starting another run, open the achievement list and your campaign map together. They answer different questions. The map tells you what remains in that save; the achievement list tells you which particular accomplishment has registered. Finishing the story, clearing a region and completing a restricted challenge are not interchangeable.
I would keep the exploration save. That is where you have your upgrades, captured bases and unlocked weapon variants. Use it to clean up the ring and replay missions. Start a separate run when the objective actually calls for a fresh, tightly controlled campaign, rather than throw away useful progress because one achievement is missing.
**Finish the difficulty you intended to finish**
**Bare Your Fangs** covers Normal campaign completion, **Fight Hard, Die Well** covers Heroic, and **A True Test of Legends** covers Legendary. Check the recorded difficulty of any mission you replay instead of assuming one hard final battle settles the whole campaign.
For a first Legendary run, use the equipment. Grappling out of a bad position, revealing a cloaked enemy and putting a Drop Wall between yourself and a firing lane are part of the combat. There is no reason to fight as though those tools were absent.
Take useful upgrades before entering the long underground stretch. If a boss keeps killing you, review the approach as well as the weapon: where you reload, which enemy has an angle around your cover, and whether your escape leads somewhere you can actually stand. The mission guides cover those fights separately.
**Clear the map by category**
Start with the major activity icons. Captured FOBs give you places to resupply; rescued Marines and completed activities support your Valor progression. Named targets unlock weapon variants. Outposts have their own destruction or sabotage objectives, so killing their visible defenders is not always the finish.
Track these separately:
- Every FOB captured at its terminal.
- Every named UNSC distress call completed.
- All fifteen high-value targets defeated.
- All seven Banished outposts completed.
- Every propaganda tower destroyed.
Check the finished icon before leaving. In a multi-wave rescue, the Marines standing up after the first fight does not necessarily mean the event is over. At an outpost, a surviving generator or untouched terminal is still an objective even if the yard has gone quiet.
For **Who is Max Valor?**, follow the activities that award Valor rather than assuming any collectible will increase it. For **Bloodstars' Bane**, use the target list, not a count of unusually tough enemies you remember killing. [Campaign achievement inventory](https://t.co/O8vgANpHXD)
**Keep collectibles in their own lists**
There are **34 Mjolnir lockers**, **45 Spartan Cores**, **12 skulls** and **seven Forerunner artifacts** to account for. Audio logs form three separate collections: UNSC, Spartan and Banished. Do not merge the blue pads into one mental list simply because they look similar. [Collectible checklist](https://t.co/X2H1zna9Jj)
The lockers unlock multiplayer cosmetic items. Cores fund campaign equipment upgrades; finding the crate and spending its contents are different actions. Visit the upgrade screen as you collect them instead of saving all the useful upgrades for a campaign you have already finished.
For audio logs, track the physical location as well as the Database entry. Spartan recordings and the FOB recordings unlock in sequence within their sets. A title in somebody else's guide may therefore describe a different pickup order from yours. The regional routes use the actual wreck, camp, cave or platform as the identifying landmark. Mission Replay can recover missed story-mission collectibles. A launch-era warning that you must restart the entire campaign is no longer a good reason to abandon your save. Skull collection and skull activation are also separate: finding one does not automatically switch its modifier on. [Official collectible and replay guidance](https://t.co/iNZUDZG63N)
**Set up the mission challenges before the trigger**
The replay achievements are where a small preparation step can save a whole repeat. Check the required weapon, the encounter and whether the requirement concerns a finishing blow or the entire fight.
A few useful examples:
- **Stick Around:** reserve the Skewer for finishing Tremonius.
- **Out with a Bang:** finish the Tower commander with a Plasma Grenade.
- **Conservation of Momentum:** get through Conservatory in less than fifteen minutes.
- **Vintage Fisticuffs:** the Nexus Hunter pair needs melee finishes, not merely some melee damage.
- **Turnabout is Fair Play:** in Repository, take a defeated Chieftain's turret and use it against another.
- **More Than He Bargained For:** beat Escharum without your shield ever emptying completely.
These are targeted attempts. For a required finishing blow, soften the enemy with another weapon if needed, then stop firing it before it steals the kill. In co-op, tell the other players what you need before their next burst finishes the target. For Escharum, a shield break already invalidates the condition even if you recover and win the fight afterward. [Official replay challenge requirements](https://t.co/EjqE3SIndL)
The full list also includes weapon variety on Gbraakon, departing Phantoms at Outpost Tremonius, the mining laser, the South Beacon and Stalker Rifle kills at Command Spire. Those deserve their own prepared replays; this roadmap is not a substitute for an exact weapon-location route or a tested timed run.
**Co-op has its own completion work**
The co-op achievements include clearing the FOBs, distress calls, targets and outposts together. Do not assume a finished solo map automatically satisfies the co-op versions.
The synchronized tasks are worth discussing before touching the objective. At Riven Gate, players need the three gates lowered close together. At Ransom Keep or Forge of Teash, the four fuel silos need coordinated destruction. Position people, clear interference and agree on the countdown first. Shooting the first available target while everybody else is still arriving is how a simple plan becomes a replay.
There are also shared-vehicle and paired-Hunter challenges. Read whether the wording asks for passengers, all players airborne, splatters or a particular weapon. Riding near a teammate is not the same thing as sharing their vehicle. [Winter Update's complete co-op list](https://t.co/yCrbBzgCdi)
**Headmaster and the eight-hour run**
**Headmaster** requires the main missions on Legendary with all skulls enabled. Collect the twelve first, including Bandana, then verify the difficulty and complete skull selection when starting or loading the attempt. This is Infinite's system, not an MCC LASO playlist.
Bandana belongs in this run. Black Eye changes shield recovery to melee, and Blind removes the normal information you rely on. Practice the equipment and recovery rhythm before treating unlimited ammunition as a solution to every encounter. This plan does not require the hidden tank gun or a sequence-breaking skip. [Headmaster planning and skull effects](https://t.co/b46wTsdofj)
**Forza Veloce** asks for the main campaign in under eight hours. Its description uses a fourteen-mission count; do not confuse that with the different chapter groupings in walkthrough menus. The safe planning approach is a separate fresh save focused on the story, not an assumption that replaying fast missions will subtract exploration hours from an old save. Easy is a sensible choice when time is the only goal. Allow enough time for the compulsory encounters and finish the campaign normally. [Timing discussion and save caution](https://t.co/w9iU4vPovS)
You can take breaks after the game has saved. Resume the same qualifying file, check that the intended difficulty and skulls remain enabled, and avoid overwriting the exploration save. If an unlock fails, preserve the evidence of your run and consult the current support guidance before deleting anything. A completed map is useful; erasing it on the strength of an old workaround is not.
