**Halo Infinite: The Road and House of Reckoning**
*Mission and boss spoilers ahead.*
The Road is the last big vehicle push. House of Reckoning trades that open space for two training arenas and two boss fights. There are no collectibles on The Road; House has three audio logs and no skull. Keep your Threat Sensor and movement equipment handy. Neither boss is a good reason to stand still and empty a magazine.
**The Road: take the tank, keep the distance**
Descend from Repository and clear the first encampment. Release the two Marines on the left, then take the Scorpion up the nearby ramp. Follow the road toward the fortress, clearing each defensive position before driving into it. This is a conventional combat route, not a grapple skip.
Treat the tank's range as its main protection. Stop before blind bends, swing the turret ahead, and destroy visible guns and vehicles before advancing. Wraiths, infantry and a Hunter pair defend the approach. Don't park beside Hunters and expect the armor to save you. Back away and keep firing from a position where their shots have farther to travel. If the tank becomes untenable, dismount behind terrain rather than in the middle of the road.
On foot, thin ordinary enemies before committing to armored targets. Rescue Marines you encounter, exploit explosive coils without standing beside them, and advance between solid cover. At the far end, use the bridge terminal, cross the bridge and enter the fortress.
**Normal:** the Scorpion can do most of the work, but don't confuse easy kills with an indestructible vehicle. **Heroic:** pause between positions and prioritize anti-vehicle threats. **Legendary:** avoid exposing the tank to several firing lanes at once; retreating a few metres is better than abandoning it after a reckless charge. If forced onto foot, make that a deliberate new approach rather than a desperate sprint through the same crossfire.
**Basic training**
Inside House of Reckoning, approach Escharum's hologram, collect the available heavy weaponry and follow the route into the first training arena. This room contains the first collectible:
- **The Prisoner 07 — 42410-02214-LB:** beside the central mock UNSC structure in the basic-training arena, on its right-hand side as you approach. Check the crate/sandbag area rather than the surrounding upper walkway.
Survive the waves, then take the marked exit. The corridor and elevator lead to another hologram and the advanced-training control area. Go upstairs to start the next arena.
For both rooms, choose a position with two escape routes. An elevated firing angle is useful; getting trapped on a platform with empty weapons isn't. Scan the room for supplies before chasing the last survivor. Replace exhausted guns between waves, and keep a precision option for exposed ranged enemies. Explosive coils are useful opening damage, but moving past an unexploded coil while under fire is an unnecessary risk.
**Advanced training**
Restock on entering. Defeat the successive waves, finishing with the red Hunter pair. Save something substantial for them instead of spending every heavy round on ordinary infantry. Keep obstacles between yourself and the Hunter you aren't shooting. When one commits to an attack, reposition toward the other's exposed angle rather than backing into a wall.
**Normal:** use the space to learn the wave rhythm and refill between bursts of fighting. **Heroic:** remove ranged shooters before concentrating on the toughest enemy. **Legendary:** avoid simultaneous exposure to the two Hunters. Work the room patiently; a safe partial attack beats a full magazine traded for a death.
After the arena is clear, follow the exit and elevator. Before entering the enclosed structure ahead, stop at the armory:
- **Escharum's Testimony 08 — Victory:** on the table beside the assault-rifle hologram in the preparation area after advanced training, before Jega's encounter.
Collect supplies, enter the bunker and interact with the device to begin the next fight.
**Jega 'Rdomnai: see him before he reaches you**
Jega cloaks and attacks with swords. Put a Threat Sensor where you intend to fight, not somewhere you've already abandoned. The upper level has a Bulldog and ammunition supplies. Use plasma to remove his shield, then switch to health damage. Shock coils can help when you've got a clear throw.
The important habit is leaving before a sword attack connects. Keep a usable grapple surface in mind and reserve Thruster for the moment distance collapses. Don't chase a disappearing Jega into a cramped corner just because his health is low. Refresh your detection and make him approach through space you can escape.
**Normal:** short bursts followed by a reposition are enough to establish a rhythm. **Heroic:** do not spend both attention and equipment cooldowns on damage. **Legendary:** treat every close approach as an emergency; break contact before reloading. The goal isn't to win a sword trade. It's to deny him one.
Once he falls, continue past the next hologram and take the elevator to Escharum.
**Escharum: four relays, then the hammer**
Before interacting with the Pilot's terminal, collect the last log:
- **Escharum's Testimony 09 — Legacy:** go past the Pilot's holding apparatus, turn left and check the outer wall of the arena. The pad leans against it.
Activate the terminal to begin. Escharum initially uses a Scrap Cannon. Fight around corners instead of standing in its sustained fire. Keep a precision weapon for objectives and use heavier damage when you have a clean opening.
His protective barrier changes the target. Wait for the Weapon to expose a power relay, destroy the glowing relay, then attack Escharum while he is vulnerable. Repeat until **all four relays** are gone. Shooting the protected boss wastes ammunition and time; keep moving while the next objective becomes available.
The final phase is a chase with his Diminisher of Hope hammer. Maintain distance, fire during safe gaps and use the room's corners to break a direct pursuit. Grapple to reposition before you are boxed in; save a Thruster charge for a close dodge instead of spending everything on faster travel. Don't reverse directly into the boss after rounding a corner.
**Normal:** take modest damage windows and avoid panic shooting. **Heroic:** leave a corner before it becomes a trap. **Legendary:** survival comes before squeezing in another shot, especially during the hammer phase. No particular checkpoint timing is guaranteed here. Finish him, then let the closing scene complete before moving on to Silent Auditorium.
