**Spire and Pelican Down: Hunters, Adjutant Resolution, and the Spartan killers**
*Mission and boss spoilers ahead.*
These two missions change scale several times: a Hunter pair beneath a huge structure, a contained machine-boss fight, three separate anti-aircraft positions, then a two-boss battle among wrecked ships. Treat each as a fresh encounter. The weapon that was convenient for a Grunt patrol may be a poor choice for the next armored target.
**Spire: clear the approach before the Hunters**
Travel from the Conservatory exit to the Spire. Remove the infantry and vehicles around its base before committing to the two Hunters beneath it. Once the pair is dead, activate the lift terminal, ride up, use the interior terminal and follow Adjutant Resolution. Wait for him to form the bridge, cross to the observation area and deploy the Weapon at the next terminal. [Spire objective route](https://t.co/HA4ihYkEUX)
The Hunters are a reason to bring a power weapon, not a reason to dump all your ammunition into their front shields. Keep track of both. Use the circular structures and solid cover to interrupt their firing lines, then attack an exposed angle. If you focus on one, position yourself so the other cannot fire freely into your back.
On **Normal**, concentrate on separating the pair's angles. On **Heroic**, clear the smaller enemies first so shield recovery does not turn into a string of interruptions. On **Legendary**, avoid a close-range melee gamble unless you have deliberately prepared for it. Patient power-weapon shots from cover are more dependable than trying to circle a Hunter while its partner watches.
**The nearby log**
Before riding the Spire lift, check the ground beside the damaged UNSC vehicle on the northwestern approach. This is the **Easy To Break** audio-log stop associated with the area in collectible guides. It is outside, not hidden in the boss arena. [Spire-area log landmark](https://t.co/eRD9l8mdwY)
**Adjutant Resolution: arms first, core second**
Do not shoot the armored center continuously. Pick one glowing gun-arm target and break it. When the machine collapses into a vulnerable state, switch your fire to its exposed core. Repeat against the remaining arms. Use the pillars to block its return fire. After the arms are gone, watch for the dangerous central beam and continue using solid cover while damaging the exposed core. [Boss phases](https://t.co/ji99HjAl03)
The useful part of this pattern is that you can plan your reloads. Reload while protected before breaking the next arm, then have ammunition ready for the core window. Losing a little arm damage to prepare is better than spending the entire vulnerability period changing magazines.
**Normal:** learn the arm-to-core transition and resist the temptation to stand in the open. **Heroic:** keep one pillar between you and the boss whenever you are not actively dealing damage. **Legendary:** change your position when his angle around the pillar changes; cover is only cover while it remains between you and the weapon.
After the fight, interact with the terminal to finish the objective. In a network co-op replay, let the ending cutscene run: Halo Support’s published list (updated June 2025) describes a progression/loading issue associated with skipping it in that specific situation. **Pelican Down: choose a clear circuit**
After the crash, your first task is to destroy the **West, East and North AA guns**. A west–east–north circuit is easy to track, although the objectives are not a single locked corridor. Between guns, reload and make the nearby collectible stops instead of arriving at the next camp with empty weapons.
At each gun, fight through its perimeter, activate the access controls where needed and use the lift into the gun. Interact with its interior terminal, destroy the exposed cooling component and leave before the gun explodes. Free captive Marines when the immediate area is safe. **West gun**
Approach the mechanical elevator, clear the position above and work into the gun. Do not leave a ranged enemy looking down the route you intend to use for retreat. After riding the mechanical elevator, inspect the small building southeast of the battery for its Banished audio log, on the table. This is **Escharum’s Testimony 05 — Reformation**. [Western log location](https://t.co/P5taAD01Ox)
**East gun**
The eastern site includes another Hunter pair. Remove the lighter defenders so the pair is the actual fight, not the center of a crossfire. Keep explosives and heavy ammunition available for this stop. The cave near the controls provides a Gravity Hammer option, but rushing both Hunters in melee is not the only route; work from cover if the approach is unsafe.
**Escharum’s Testimony 07 — Loyalties** is in the small room south of this battery. Collect it as part of the site sweep before moving on. Then restore access, enter the gun and destroy its cooling component. [Eastern site route](https://t.co/IBXmDGK10Q)
**North gun**
Clear the compound and elevated threats before using the controls. **Escharum’s Testimony 06 — Home** is in the small room south of the gun. Complete the same access-and-destruction sequence, then return toward the Pelican for the Spartan-killer encounter. [Northern log landmark](https://t.co/P5taAD01Ox)
The Graveyards collectible route in this series covers the island's **five Spartan logs, three Banished logs, five cores, one locker and four propaganda towers** individually. This mission article does not pretend that destroying the three guns automatically clears the island. There is no skull hidden in one of the AA batteries.
**Hyperius and Tovarus: stop fighting both at once**
Hyperius starts in a modified Chopper. Tovarus pressures the area with a Scrap Cannon and moves between elevated positions. Your first aim is to take away the vehicle threat while keeping wreckage or terrain between you and the other boss.
Use suitable heavy fire against the Chopper, or hijack it if a safe opportunity presents itself. Do not stand on an open route and wait for its charge. Once Hyperius is on foot, work down his shield and health while continuing to use the western rocks and wreckage as cover. Focus the fight rather than alternating damage between both bosses without finishing either. [Duo strategy](https://t.co/oas7jKdWZy)
When you turn to Tovarus, locate his current platform before leaving protection. Attack between his bursts and reposition when he changes height. A Drop Wall can buy a brief firing or reload window, but it is not a replacement for wreckage that actually blocks his gun. Watch the ground-level Banished too: they can ruin an otherwise safe retreat.
On **Normal**, a focused attack on one boss will usually simplify the encounter more than constant weapon swapping. On **Heroic**, identify nearby resupply before committing to a long duel. On **Legendary**, stop shooting when your safe angle disappears. Grapple back into cover, recover and return with a better view. You are not required to win from the place where the encounter began.
After both brothers are down, return to the Pilot at the Pelican and complete the story interaction. If you want the full Graveyards sweep, finish those remaining map stops before treating the island as done.
