**Halo 5 — Enemy Lines: ten intel recordings, Catch, and the Kraken achievements**
*Halo 5: Guardians, Xbox campaign. Mission spoilers.*
Enemy Lines has ten intel items and one skull. Most of the recordings are on the ground route; the skull requires a stop inside the Kraken. The important cutoff is the power core. Get Catch before destroying it, while you can still explore the hangars without the escape sequence underway.
**Intel in route order**
This checklist follows the ground route toward the temple. Recording-series numbers aren't pickup-order numbers, so don't worry when a title's number doesn't match its place here.
1. **Ceremonial Sword 4/6:** Opening stream, tucked into its watery alcove.
2. **Message to Jacul 'Arach 1/4:** Return upward; check the left cave beside grenades.
3. **Sangheili Personal Log 449:** At the first Kraken view, take the right exit and climb the small ledge on its left.
4. **Unggoy Personal Log 023:** Upper-right side room near the first shielded passage.
5. **Message to Jacul 'Arach 2/4:** Cave containing a replacement Ghost in the next outdoor battle.
6. **Dear Covenant Please Read:** Before the temple approach tunnel, turn back and inspect the elevated ledge with a Carbine.
7. **Sangheili Personal Log 061:** After entering the temple grounds, search the sloped structure along the far-right wall.
8. **Covenant Attack Plan:** Climb the broken bridge supports to the raised right-side ledge.
9. **Kit Pitlimp's Adventure Log 2/4:** Beneath the bridge, break the wall off the blue-lit passage and check inside.
10. **Forerunner Record: Search 5/5:** Lower platform beside the Phaeton departure area, before boarding the Kraken.
Some video guides collect Log 061 before doubling back for Dear Covenant Please Read. That's an ordering choice, not an extra recording. Use the titles to compare your missing entries rather than assuming every guide's sixth pickup must be the same object.
The bridge detours are easy to mix together. Covenant Attack Plan is the elevated climb; Kit Pitlimp is the breakable-wall stop underneath. Finding one doesn't cover the other.
**Catch: check above the hangar doorway**
Inside the Kraken, locate the hangars containing Banshees. Look above the green-lit passage leading inward toward the core. The skull is on the high ledge over that entrance in one of the two hangars.
Use a Banshee to reach the ledge, then get out onto it and collect the skull. Check the ledge itself before committing to your landing. If you're looking at the wrong hangar, inspect the corresponding location in the other one rather than concluding the skull failed to appear.
Collect it before attacking the core. Once the escape is underway, you want to be leaving the Kraken, not trying to remember which hangar had the elevated doorway.
Approach the ledge slowly and leave yourself room to adjust the landing.
**Kraken Lackin': leave its turrets intact**
The requirement is to finish Enemy Lines without destroying a Kraken turret. It doesn't say to leave every Covenant gun emplacement on the map alive. Ordinary ground positions and the guns attached to the Kraken are different things.
For a clean attempt, start the mission normally and make sure everyone in co-op understands the restriction. At each appearance of the Kraken, avoid firing at its weapons. When you eventually fly over to board it, don't clear the deck with a broad explosive attack.
Destroying the internal power core is part of the mission. The challenge is preserving the mounted turrets during your route, not somehow completing the story without bringing down the Kraken.
**Emergency Boarding Procedures: ride on top**
This one asks you to escape the doomed Kraken by jumping onto a Phaeton piloted by a Spartan. The rider stands on the aircraft; simply taking an aircraft out of the hangar yourself isn't the required maneuver.
Co-op makes the setup easier to control. Agree on the pilot and rider before destroying the core, have the pilot bring the Phaeton into position, and make the jump while the aircraft is steady. Then fly away gently with the rider still aboard.
The pilot should avoid the teleport move. It can throw the other player off. You don't need to turn the escape into an aerial stunt routine; staying on the craft while getting clear is the point.
A solo attempt is possible, but coordinating a human pilot is the more straightforward option. Don't assume the achievement has failed solely because it doesn't unlock the instant your feet touch the Phaeton; you still need to escape the Kraken.
**Before leaving the mission**
Check the ten intel entries and Catch separately. Then finish the Constructor encounter and extraction. The Kraken's destruction happens before the final battle, so stopping there leaves the mission unfinished and can also leave your completion-based challenge unfinished.
For cleanup, I'd separate a relaxed collectible visit from a co-op stunt attempt if the group is getting impatient. Both are worthwhile goals, but the skull ledge and the airborne escape require different kinds of attention.
