**Halo 5 — Swords of Sanghelios: twelve intel items, Mythic and the Mantis challenge**
*Halo 5: Guardians, Xbox campaign. Mission spoilers.*
This mission has twelve intel items, and several are above or below the path you naturally follow. The little sword relics count too. Don't limit your search to glowing data pads.
I would do the exploration before the co-op Mantis attempt. You can combine them, but getting out to climb around ruins is a distraction when you're trying to keep both walkers together and alive.
**The intel route**
Use these names to check your collection. The ceremonial swords' fractions describe their recording series, not the order you find them.
1. **Ceremonial Sword 3/6:** Opening canyon, up the ledges to the small ruin beside the landing area.
2. **Patrol Log — Scout 'Ghattam:** Cliffside alcove beyond the second large statue, before the first fight.
3. **Ceremonial Sword 1/6:** At the waterfall's base between the early infantry fight and Shade position.
4. **Patrol Log — Scout 'Thrun:** Small elevated path beside the Shade-turret area.
5. **Patrol Log — Scout 'Hakkat:** Above the cave of dead Elites; climb to the body impaled with a sword.
6. **Ceremonial Sword 2/6:** Large ruined chamber: climb the leaning pillar to the shelf above the side cave.
7. **Patrol Log — Scout 'Makesh:** Opposing ledge in that chamber, near the broken circular stonework.
8. **Sangheili Personal Log 503:** Outside after the ruins, beneath the pillar/ledge used for the Mythic detour.
9. **Kit Pitlimp's Adventure Log 1/4:** Nearby rock passage; break its cracked floor and search the lower supply area.
10. **Message to Kitun 'Arach 1/2:** After the Mantis delivery, climb the broken statue in the first courtyard; search behind a statue's foot above.
11. **Message to Kitun 'Arach 2/2:** Large vehicle courtyard, upper side passage overlooking the far Wraith position.
12. **Sangheili Personal Log 139:** Shallow pool right of the Council Chamber entrance, before going inside.
For the less obvious jumps, [360GameTV's mission-specific reference](https://t.co/eHu2X8RWeT) has a chapter index: the ruined-chamber pair starts at 2:43, Mythic and the next two recordings at 3:47, and the last three at 5:41, 6:17 and 7:04. Those are useful places to compare your position if two ledges look much the same.
**Mythic: the pillar jump**
After leaving the large ruined chamber, stop outside before crossing toward the landing-zone fight. Look for the leaning stone pillar and the upright pillars around it. The skull is on a separate raised ledge beyond them.
Climb the sloping pillar, work onto the higher upright surface, and line yourself up with the skull's platform. Give yourself enough room to reach a sprint before jumping. Use Smart-Link's airborne stabilizer and a forward thrust to extend your reach, then use the jump/clamber input as you meet the edge.
The timing matters more than repeatedly pressing everything faster. If you keep falling short, reset your starting position and make sure you reached a full sprint before leaving the pillar. The linked reference's 3:47 section is the right visual comparison for this jump. You don't need to add Legendary difficulty just to collect Mythic.
Pick up the skull once you're on the ledge. Landing there without interacting with it doesn't finish the job.
**No Knock Raid**
Destroy **ten breakable walls or floors during Swords of Sanghelios**. There is no Heroic requirement for this one.
Look for the cracked stone panels along the route. Spartan Charge breaks the wall panels; Ground Pound handles the floor sections. Some open useful weapon alcoves, so this is a good reason to inspect the edges of the combat spaces instead of only following the objective marker.
Break each panel deliberately and keep your own count. The cracked floor near Kit Pitlimp's recording is one of the useful detours. There are additional breakable sections around the later courtyard weapon rooms, so don't assume the opportunity ends when the Mantises arrive.
For a panel-by-panel cleanup route, use the dedicated [No Knock Raid guide](https://t.co/g9dPtcV3B8) instead of repeatedly destroying ordinary scenery that doesn't count.
**Preying Mantis**
Complete the mission in **co-op on Heroic with both Mantises**. Use a human partner; an AI Spartan in the second walker is not a substitute for the co-op requirement.
Once Mahkee delivers them, each of you takes a walker. Stay in them for the remaining route and preserve both through the finish. This is the conservative approach described by the official guide, and it's the one I'd use instead of testing how much the achievement will forgive.
Work the large courtyard from cover, agree which Wraith you're attacking, and let a damaged walker pull back while the other covers it. When its shield recovers, bring it forward again. Don't block your partner's retreat in a narrow doorway.
The ordinary **Swords** completion achievement is separate. My finishing checklist here is twelve intel, Mythic, ten qualifying panels if you're doing No Knock Raid, and a completed co-op run with both walkers for Preying Mantis. Keep those four goals separate when checking what remains.
