**Halo 4: Composer — the Hunters, the terminal and the Mantis conversation**
**The Master Chief Collection. Mission spoilers.**
Composer has two easy-to-miss objectives close together once you reach the big atrium. One is tucked into the rock under a sign. The other asks you to stop and listen instead of immediately moving on to the next fight.
Before those, there's the Hunter challenge. Plan for it before entering the laboratory so you aren't trying to find the right weapon with two Hunters already on top of you.
**Six direct targets**
- **Composer:** complete the mission.
- **Justice:** activate Terminal 6 on Composer.
- **Give Him the Stick:** take out both Hunters using only the Sticky Detonator.
- **You're No Chips:** hear the Mantis-controls conversation.
- **Symphony of Pain:** beat the **20-minute** par time.
- **Head Banging:** beat the **25,000-point** par score.
The Hunter challenge doesn't require Heroic or Legendary. A lower-difficulty cleanup is fine if that is the only objective you're missing.
**Give Him the Stick: prepare for the lab**
Early in the mission, a Marine drops a Sticky Detonator. Take it if you want to arrive at the laboratory already equipped. If you used its ammunition or left it behind, additional weapons and ammunition are available in the Hunter room, including the small office in the back-right corner as you enter.
The scientist along the approach offers a Thruster Pack. It can help you dodge and reach an exposed angle, but you still need to watch the other Hunter before committing to a move.
Use the Sticky Detonator against both Hunters. Attach a charge to an exposed area, move clear and detonate it. Reload behind an obstacle, then repeat when you have another useful angle.
Don't waste charges firing repeatedly into a raised shield. Let the Hunter turn, work around the room and use the cover to stop both enemies attacking you from the same direction. If one gets too close, evade first; taking a shield strike while trying to finish a reload is a poor trade.
For a clean attempt, don't damage either Hunter with other weapons, melee, grenades or an Auto Sentry. Some community methods report that only the finishing blows are checked, but using the Sticky Detonator throughout avoids relying on that interpretation.
Both Hunters need to die to the required weapon. Killing one correctly and finishing the other with a shotgun doesn't complete the task.
**Justice: underneath the ATRIUM sign**
After the Hunter fight and the meeting with Dr. Tillson, leave through the route into the large area containing the Composer.
As you enter, look right for the **ATRIUM** lettering on the wall. Below it, in a small rocky recess, is Terminal 6. Step into the recess and activate it.
Collect it during this first visit instead of waiting until the later vehicle defense has filled the area with enemies. Once the interaction registers, return to the open atrium and continue with your next objective.
**You're No Chips: let the conversation finish**
In the same large area, head across toward the raised platform marked **Ivanoff Station**. Two Mantis units are there, one occupied and one empty, with personnel discussing the controls.
Stand nearby and let the conversation play out. The joke is about the control sticks, not a hidden item you have to shoot or pick up. Avoid interrupting the scene by attacking the characters or immediately taking a vehicle.
The IWHBYD skull is not required. Reports and guides confirm the achievement without it, so don't add an extra setup step unnecessarily.
For cleanup, Rally Point Bravo places you near the route into this area. Go through the doors, enter the atrium and head toward the Mantis platform. That's a convenient way to hear the dialogue without replaying the initial landing-bay fights.
**Time and score cleanup**
**Symphony of Pain** asks for a finish below twenty minutes. The important route steps are closing the landing-bay barricade, finding the service passage when the later door shuts, activating the defense controls and completing the Mantis defense. Know those transitions before trying to save seconds in every gunfight.
**Head Banging** asks for more than the 25,000-point par. A sensible scoring setup should let you clear the indoor rooms efficiently and reach the Mantis without repeated deaths. The final vehicle defense offers more combat, but don't arrive with a plan that depends on surviving indefinitely in the open.
Keep the Hunter-only weapon restriction and the dialogue detour separate from your fastest attempt if they are costing time. These are six objectives, not a requirement to perform one perfect run that does everything at once.
