**Halo 4: Reclaimer — Mortardom, the terminal and the mission targets**
**The Master Chief Collection. Mission spoilers.**
Reclaimer gives you several ways to destroy a Wraith. For Mortardom, most of those don't matter. You need to be using a Wraith yourself, on the right difficulty, and get four enemy Wraith kills with it. The Scorpion that appears near the end is useful for a normal clear but can remove the very targets you're saving for this challenge.
**Five things to check**
- **Reclaimer:** complete the mission.
- **Flood:** activate Terminal 4 on Reclaimer.
- **Mortardom:** use a Wraith to destroy at least four enemy Wraiths on **Heroic or Legendary**.
- **Gimme That:** beat the **20-minute** par time.
- **Librarian's Pet:** beat the **25,000-point** par score.
**Terminal 4: after retrieving Cortana**
The terminal comes after the Librarian scene inside the Forerunner facility, not during the opening ride on the Mammoth.
Retrieve Cortana from the pedestal, deal with the Prometheans on the exit route and continue toward the elevator. **Before entering the lift, turn into the small passage to its right.** The terminal is there.
Activate it and return to the elevator. The following portal takes you back outside for the last armored battle, so make the detour before leaving the facility.
**Mortardom: use the final vehicle area**
Heroic satisfies the requirement. For a targeted attempt, Rally Point Bravo lets you work through the canyon and facility without repeating the opening convoy. Pick up a Plasma Pistol from the Covenant in the canyon and carry it through the interior. You'll use it to disable the Wraith you want to capture after returning outside.
At the final battlefield, don't immediately destroy every Wraith with the Scorpion. First clear the nearby non-Wraith threats that would make a capture suicidal, then choose a Wraith you can approach under cover.
**Capture it without destroying it**
If the Wraith has a turret gunner, remove that gunner with a precision weapon. Use an overcharged Plasma Pistol shot to disable the vehicle temporarily, then approach the empty gunner position. Taking that position forces the driver out; deal with him and take control of the main vehicle.
Don't use the boarding attack intended to destroy the tank. The objective is to leave it usable. If the disable wears off before you reach it, back away or stun it again instead of running directly in front of its hull.
**Keep your Wraith alive long enough to finish four**
Use distance and terrain to reduce the number of enemy tanks that can hit you at once. The mortar travels in an arc, so adjust your aim based on where your previous shot lands rather than firing repeatedly at the same empty patch of ground.
Keep moving between shots when an enemy mortar is coming toward you. A badly damaged Wraith is a reason to become more careful, not drive closer to every remaining opponent.
Make sure your own Wraith gets the finishing blows. In co-op, arrange the attempt around one player at a time; don't assume four kills shared across several vehicles give everyone the achievement. Allied fire can also remove a target before you finish it, so take the remaining Wraiths seriously rather than treating the field as an unlimited supply.
The early part of the mission offers another opportunity, but carrying a captured Wraith through the convoy's river crossings adds complications. The final battlefield is a cleaner place to concentrate on this one objective.
**Separate the time route from the Wraith challenge**
For **Gimme That**, the target is below twenty minutes. Be ready when the Mammoth stops, know where the designator is, and bring down the generators instead of waiting beside an active barrier. In the Lich, destroy the reactor and leave; hunting every remaining enemy is no longer the objective.
For **Librarian's Pet**, the target is 25,000 points. The vehicle battles offer plenty to shoot, but choose a setup you can finish consistently. Repeated deaths and long delays aren't automatically offset by turning on more difficult modifiers.
Collect the terminal on whichever run gives you time to check it properly. Capture-and-kill practice, terminal cleanup and a fast clear don't have to compete with one another.
