**Halo: Reach — Firefight, Forge and the achievements outside the campaign** **MCC guide.** Finishing the campaign leaves a few very different things on Reach's list. Some take a short visit to Forge. Others depend on finding the right matchmade mode and doing something specific against actual players. It helps to separate them before spending an evening in the wrong playlist. **Enemies Everywhere! — finish a Firefight set** Choose Halo: Reach Firefight on **Normal or harder**. A set contains three rounds, with five regular waves in each round. Clearing one wave, or even one round, is not the same thing as completing the set. A standard Firefight setup on a familiar map is a sensible first attempt. Corvette is a practical choice: the fighting space is compact enough to learn, and you can work from cover rather than sprinting across a huge outdoor area to find the last enemy. Keep one weapon for the smaller enemies and another answer for shielded or heavily armored targets. Don't expend your best ammunition shooting Grunts you could have finished with a precision weapon. Between waves, replenish ammunition and identify a safe place to retreat before the next dropship arrives. With teammates, divide the approaches without spreading so far apart that nobody can help when a position collapses. Avoid spending shared lives trying to recover a weapon from the same occupied corner repeatedly. If an enemy is holding up the end of a wave, search deliberately rather than having everybody wander in a different direction and lose track of the defenses. Stay until the set has registered complete. This achievement specifies Normal or harder, so an otherwise successful Easy session isn't the cleanup you need. MCC's custom Firefight supports expanded options, including the eight-player support introduced in July 2023. That does not mean every matchmaking playlist uses eight players, or that more players automatically make enemies scale upward. Check the actual lobby and variant you're starting. **Game Breaker — ten kills while using a jetpack** A Reach Firefight session is a convenient place to work on this. Equip the jetpack, choose an ordinary enemy group, and make the kills while actively using the ability. Simply carrying a jetpack while standing on the floor is not the same thing. Use short lifts with a clear target below you, land to recover fuel, then repeat. Easy is suitable if this is a separate cleanup run; the Normal minimum belongs to Enemies Everywhere!, not to every Firefight-related achievement. If you combine them, prioritize staying alive and completing the set rather than floating helplessly over the strongest wave to force the final kill. **Capacious Cartography — save a Forge World map** Open Forge, select **Halo: Reach**, and choose the actual map named **Forge World**. Start the session, make a small edit such as placing an object, then use **Save As** to save your map under a new name. The map choice is the important detail. Creating something on a different Reach map doesn't satisfy the Forge World requirement. There's no need to build an entire arena, publish it, or persuade anyone to download it. Also ignore launch-era instructions saying Reach Forge isn't available on PC. Those were written before that feature arrived. **Negative, Ghostrider — bank ten skulls in Headhunter** The required medal is **Skullamanjaro**, earned by depositing ten skulls at once. The achievement requires a **matchmade Headhunter** game. Collecting ten skulls and then dying before reaching a scoring zone won't do it. Once you're carrying a large stack, survival and reaching the deposit point matter more than chasing another fight. Watch where the scoring area moves and approach with cover rather than walking straight into the busiest line of fire. Older guides describe team-credit behavior, but I wouldn't build an attempt around somebody else's deposit unlocking yours. Pursue the medal yourself. A custom game is useful for learning the rules, not a substitute for the matchmade requirement. **Skunked — stop Invasion in its first phase** This also specifies matchmaking. On defense, prevent the attacking side from completing the first phase. Guard the objectives, watch alternate approaches, and resist the urge to abandon the capture areas to chase someone away from the fight. If you begin on the attacking side, the teams switch roles. The defensive opportunity comes with that switch. Winning a later phase is still a useful match result, but it isn't the first-phase shutdown this achievement asks for. Availability is a separate issue from the requirement. Check MCC's current playlists; don't assume an old screenshot proves that a particular queue or population is available tonight. A custom Invasion lobby does not replace the explicitly matchmade condition. **Two player-combat counters** **Requiescat in Pace** asks for ten assassinations on enemy players. Use the held-melee assassination from behind, not merely a quick rear melee hit, and don't count campaign Elites toward a requirement that specifically says players. **Run and Gunned** asks for ten headshots on sprinting enemies. The target has to be sprinting when the headshot lands. SWAT can provide straightforward headshot opportunities, but patient players may sprint less often there. Watch actual movement rather than assuming every fast target is using Sprint. The Headcase medal is a useful sign that you made the right kind of kill. Neither task requires sabotaging the match objective. Take the opportunities the match gives you, and keep a separate count if the achievement tracker is slow to refresh. **Keep the old release separate** The original Xbox 360 game's legacy online services were retired in January 2022. MCC is a different release with its own achievement list and online systems. An old guide promising an Xbox 360 matchmaking achievement isn't evidence that the original queue still works, and MCC progress doesn't complete that separate list. For this cleanup, I'd save the Forge map first, do a Normal Firefight set with some jetpack kills, then tackle the matchmade modes when they're available. That leaves the time-dependent work clearly separated from the things you can finish in your own lobby.
