**Uplift Reserve achievements: Classic is a driving challenge, not a shooting challenge** *MCC. Mission spoilers.* Uplift Reserve is a useful place to collect several restrictive achievements, but don't let a guide convince you they must all happen together. A clean finish is worth more than restarting because you accidentally used VISR while also trying to protect a no-death run. **The three fixed mission awards** - **Uplift Reserve:** finish the mission, any difficulty in MCC. - **Floor It!:** beat **4:00**. - **Don't Strain Your Metaphors:** beat **14,000 points**. **Wraith Killer**, which asks for every Wraith here, belongs to the original Xbox 360 release. It isn't an extra MCC award hiding behind these three. The original campaign score of 60,000 also isn't the MCC target. **Classic: the exact restriction** Complete a combat mission **solo on Legendary, without firing a shot or throwing a grenade**. Uplift Reserve is a useful candidate because its route is drivable. Do not pull the trigger on your carried weapon. Do not start charging the Spartan Laser. Do not fire the Ghost or Chopper guns. **Do not honk a Warthog horn**: that input has been documented as spoiling this challenge even though it doesn't look like a gunshot. Ghost boosting is allowed. You can drive a Warthog while a Marine shoots; their fire isn't your shot. That doesn't make any particular vehicle indestructible. Route knowledge and avoiding collisions still matter. Classic itself is not a no-death achievement and does not require Iron. Don't add restrictions from a different Vidmaster challenge. Likewise, finishing an introductory cutscene or a Streets section isn't the substitute for a qualifying combat mission. Start with optional skulls off for a straightforward attempt. Community helper-skull methods exist, but this guide isn't promising that every modifier preserves every other completion or score award. **The optional stack** These can fit a successful Uplift drive, but each has its own condition: - **One Way Ride:** no health pack on Heroic or Legendary. - **Just Sayin...I Ain't Dead:** no deaths on Heroic or Legendary. - **Deference of Darkness:** never activate VISR during the mission. - **Xenophobia:** finish without using Covenant weapons. A no-fire vehicle route is a reported way to combine Xenophobia with Classic, including driving a Ghost without shooting its cannons. Don't turn that into permission to fire one plasma burst because you're “mostly driving.” If the combined run is becoming frustrating, split it. Do the no-health and no-death conditions on Heroic. Do the no-VISR run where the daylight is readable. Then concentrate on solo Legendary for Classic. You don't lose anything by using more than one completion. **Four minutes versus fourteen thousand** For **Floor It!**, practice the links between the open bowls, the bridge, the winding ascent and the final exit. Easy is eligible. A fast Ghost route is about knowing the next turn, not holding boost continuously through a blind bend. For **Don't Strain Your Metaphors**, turn the score display on and fight worthwhile targets instead. Use your heavy weapon against occupied enemy armor and keep the Warthog out of sustained crossfire. Don't rely on old guides that farm parked empty vehicles: that ODST scoring behavior changed in MCC. Keep the finished score above 14,000. Time and deaths affect the result, so crossing the number once in the middle of the mission isn't the end of the job. The clean order is a normal route-learning completion, a deliberate Classic attempt, then a score run. Add the four-minute run wherever you feel ready. There is no prize for making every checkbox depend on the same perfect drive.
