Halo 2: High Charity — terminal 12 and catching the Iron skull **Halo 2: Anniversary in The Master Chief Collection. Mission spoilers.** The terminal is an easy stop once you know which room to check. The skull is the one you can sail straight past. It sits inside a late gravity lift, so get your pickup control ready before the ride starts. Trying to react after you've already seen it is what makes this unnecessarily frustrating. **Set up for the right collectible** **Skulltaker Halo 2: Iron requires Legendary.** For **Reviewer**, the achievement for terminal 12, any difficulty works. Use Anniversary graphics when looking for the terminal. If you're combining both in one run, choose Legendary. If you're only missing Reviewer, you can return on an easier difficulty instead. This is High Charity, the Chief mission after Uprising. It isn't Gravemind, even though you're back in the same city and some of the architecture looks familiar. The earlier Rampant Cortana toy is a separate collectible; it isn't beside this terminal and doesn't replace either pickup. You also don't need to enable Iron in the mission settings. Finding a physical skull for its achievement and choosing a skull modifier are separate actions in MCC. **Don't stop at the early lift** Continue through the opening Flood encounters and the early gravity lift. Cross the floating platforms using the horizontal gravity conveyors, then work through the dark corridors and garden rooms. Neither the first lift out of the opening area nor the horizontal crossings contains the Iron skull you're after. Keep following the normal mission route. Later, a lift takes you into the large Sanctum battle. Covenant defenders are fighting the Flood across the room. Your onward route is through the tall doorway at the far side, into a smaller chamber. This is the point where you should stop thinking about the combat route for a moment and look for the collectibles. **Terminal 12: left of the sword chamber entrance** After getting through the large battle room, pass through the tall, pink-purple-lit doorway. An energy sword on a central stand is a useful landmark in the chamber beyond. **Turn left as you enter.** The terminal is against that side of the room. You do not need to climb onto the sword's stand or search a balcony above the battle you just left. Approach the panel in Anniversary graphics and use the interaction prompt. Check that the terminal actually activates before continuing. Merely walking near it or picking up the sword is not the collectible action. The achievement name is **Reviewer**. This is terminal **12**, leaving the final Halo 2 terminal for The Great Journey. Take this stop before moving to the next upward lift. It's much simpler than trying to return after being carried toward the mission's final area. **Iron: hold pickup during the final upward lift** Leave the terminal chamber by the onward route. The next large gravity lift takes you toward the final conduit area. That's the lift containing Iron. Before stepping into it: 1. Check which control your current layout uses to pick up a weapon or skull. Don't rely on a guide's Xbox button label if you've changed layouts or you're using a keyboard. 2. Look upward into the lift shaft. 3. Start **holding the pickup/interact control before you reach the skull**, then keep holding it as the lift carries you upward. The skull passes within reach very quickly. You are collecting it during the ascent, not landing on a separate platform to inspect it. There is no grenade jump here, no need to leap out of the shaft, and no enemy that must be killed in a particular way to make it appear. Watch for the pickup or achievement confirmation when you arrive at the top. Don't assume that passing through the skull's position automatically counts if you weren't holding the correct control. **If the ride went by too quickly** Pause before pressing onward into the final fight and check whether the achievement registered. If it didn't, an available checkpoint from before the lift gives you another attempt. That depends on where your current checkpoint is; the game does not offer an arbitrary list of every earlier checkpoint to choose from. If your checkpoint is already beyond the pickup and you cannot return, replaying the mission is the reliable fallback. Don't jump into a lethal drop hoping it will send you to an earlier save. It may simply put you back above the lift. On the retry, prepare the control in advance rather than waiting to see the skull clearly. Legendary is still required, even if you already activated the terminal on your previous run. The order to remember is straightforward: **large Sanctum fight, smaller sword chamber, terminal on entry-left, then Iron during the next upward lift.** Get those done before worrying about the last run to the conduit.
