Halo 2: High Charity walkthrough — get through the Flood and reach the ship **Halo 2: Anniversary in The Master Chief Collection. Mission and ending spoilers. Conventional route, not a speedrun or LASO guide.** You're back with Chief, which means the camouflage from Uprising is gone. Don't plan an escape around an ability you no longer have. This time the useful distraction is the Flood attacking the Covenant, and it works only while they have something else to fight. **Get off the starting platform** The opening gives you a Carbine and plasma pistol while Flood attack the Brutes ahead. Keep the Carbine for enemies you need to reach at a distance. Replace the plasma pistol when a suitable weapon becomes available; a sword or shotgun gives you a much better answer to a combat form suddenly getting close. Follow the right-hand ramp toward the entrance back inside the tower. You can fight for supplies, but you don't need to clear every corner of the outside platform before entering. Through the door, deal with the opposition blocking the sloped room and continue to the gravity lift. Flood can join the encounter behind the Brutes. Don't move so far forward that both groups can fire into your back. Ride the lift up. Cortana disables it after your ascent. Follow the next passage toward the enormous open chamber with platforms suspended around it. There are beam rifles available before the crossing if you want one. **Cross the gravity bridges** Drones and Flood are fighting across the room. Take the ranged threats seriously before stepping onto a conveyor. You have very little choice about your movement while it carries you. Use the first crossing to reach the intermediate platform, then the second to reach the platform opposite your original entrance. Clear a landing area, recover your shields if necessary, and have your close-range weapon ready for the final arrival. The far doorway can release Flood while more Drones threaten from behind. Don't stand on the exposed landing trying to finish every flying enemy. Open a path through the doorway and get into the passage. On Heroic and Legendary, this is a good place to be deliberate. Crossing with depleted shields because “it's only a short trip” gives the next group an easy kill. There is no prize for boarding the conveyor before you're ready. **Through the dark corridors and gardens** The next stretch is dim and filled with Flood growth. Use your flashlight where it helps distinguish the floor, enemies and onward doorways. Keep moving toward the next room, but don't run into shapes you haven't identified. The corridors contain fights between Covenant and Flood. Let the side already occupying a doorway become distracted, then remove the threats directly on your route. Be especially careful with armed combat forms: one carrying a rocket launcher deserves a different response from an unarmed form closing for melee. A sword is useful, but lunging across a room into several armed enemies is still dangerous. Pick the nearby target that clears your escape, rather than the farthest target the reticle offers. You'll reach a garden-like room with rocks, water and a central Covenant structure. This is the optional Rampant Cortana toy area. It is not the mission's terminal room. Continue through another dark connecting passage to the second garden-like room. More Flood and Drones fight here. Follow the onward passage to the elevator and activate it for the next section. **Sanctified: don't get trapped between both sides** The elevator brings you to a broad chamber with Covenant defenses near the far exit. Flood enter from the elevated openings along the sides. The middle of the room can quickly become the worst place to stand. Let the enemies engage while you choose a route along one side. Take down the threats that actually cover that route. If a Brute or armed Flood form pins you down, deal with it before pushing farther; simply being close to the exit doesn't make you safe. The exit door is slow. Reaching it is not the same as being through it. Keep enough ammunition to defend the approach while it opens, and don't turn your back on the room prematurely. If the first approach fails, change which side you use or when you move. Waiting until both groups notice you, then repeating the same run through the middle, isn't going to improve the situation. **Terminal stop, then the last lift** Once through the large chamber's exit, enter the smaller inner room with the central pedestal. **Terminal 12 is here, before the lift that takes you to the final outdoor platform.** The panel is immediately to your left as you enter; switch to Anniversary graphics to see and activate it. If you're collecting **Iron on Legendary**, stop and read that route before entering the next gravity lift. Look up and hold your pickup control during the ascent. It isn't sitting beside you at the top waiting to be collected afterward. This is a useful distinction: the terminal is a stationary stop before the lift, Iron is a timed pickup while riding it, and the final conduit comes afterward. Don't rush from one to the next assuming they're the same objective. **Reach the conduit** At the top, Flood and Covenant are fighting on the final platform. Your destination is the far end and the green conduit leading toward the Forerunner ship. Use the side that gives you the clearest approach. Eliminate anything directly covering your movement, especially a sniper, but don't turn this into an attempt to exterminate the whole platform. Completing the mission does not require a last-enemy-standing clear of that battlefield, including on Legendary. Enter the conduit to trigger the ending. You are not searching for a separate boss, and there is no playable Warthog escape here. Cortana keeps urging you onward, but this mission does not have a Maw-style countdown. Take the moments you need to recharge and read the route. The actual problem is getting caught by the enemies, not an invisible timer you need to panic over.
