Halo 2 in MCC: Delta Halo achievements, the Master Chief toy and leaving the tank behind Delta Halo mission and collectible spoilers. Halo 2: Anniversary in The Master Chief Collection. Two achievement names make Delta Halo look more confusing than it is. **So You Don't Want the Tank?** is the time target. You can use the tank for it. **He Never Gets Me Anything** is the one that actually requires you to stay out of vehicles. Keep those separate before starting, especially if you're also planning to use a Ghost to reach the Master Chief toy. That collection route and the no-vehicle challenge don't belong in the same attempt. **The seven mission-focused checks** - **Delta Halo:** complete the mission; any difficulty works in MCC. - **So You Don't Want the Tank?:** finish below the **15-minute** par time. - **Boundless:** finish above the **10,000-point** par score. - **Enchanted:** activate terminal 6 in the bridge-control room. - **Skulltaker Halo 2: Envy:** collect the Envy skull on Legendary. - **And So It Begins...:** collect the Master Chief toy. - **He Never Gets Me Anything:** finish Delta Halo on **Heroic or Legendary without entering a vehicle**. The toy also contributes to **Toybox**, which requires all eight Halo 2 toys. Finding Chief alone isn't supposed to finish that larger achievement. **He Never Gets Me Anything: no seats, not just no tank** Choose Heroic if this challenge is the only thing you need. It meets the condition without adding Legendary's more punishing sniper encounters. Stay on foot from the beginning. Ignore the first friendly Warthog as well as the later Scorpion. Don't take a turret seat or ride as a passenger, and don't hijack a Ghost to make the next stretch easier. The condition says no vehicle, not no driving. You still operate the bridge control normally. Extending the bridge is not vehicle use; getting into the tank delivered nearby is. Once the crossing is ready, fight your way across using the available cover rather than walking down its center under several enemy guns. Keep a ranged weapon ready for Jackal snipers. On foot, spotting them before leaving cover matters more than trying to sprint between every piece of scenery. Preserve heavier ammunition for vehicles and difficult groups, and work through one threat at a time instead of standing still to fight a Wraith and its accompanying infantry together. The challenge continues after the section where a tank would normally stop being useful. Finish the later footpath and final temple encounter. Reaching the end of the vehicle route is not the same thing as completing Delta Halo. **Scarab, Bandanna and Envy are documented optional aids** for this specific achievement. They aren't required. If using Scarab, remember the blast danger near walls and in narrow interiors; a weapon that clears distant enemies can also kill you when fired into something beside your face. Envy gives Chief camouflage, not permanent protection. These helper settings are not a recommendation for your time or score record. Keep that attempt separate. There's also no need to rely on old save-and-resume exploits that claim to erase earlier vehicle use: meet the restriction from the start. **And So It Begins...: Chief is on the rocky point** Any difficulty works for the toy. Use **Anniversary graphics at the destination**, because the toy is not displayed in classic mode. The conventional route uses a Ghost from the bridge area: 1. Reach the bridge-control building and secure the immediate area. Take a Ghost outside. 2. Head back along the route toward the mission's beginning, rather than crossing onward into the next section. 3. Return to the stretch where Jackal snipers covered the approach, just before the ravine leading back toward the opening area. 4. Face back toward that ravine. Climb the steep slope on your right beside the snipers' former position, using the Ghost's boost. 5. Follow the raised ridge around to the right, continuing along the edge around the lake to the projecting rocky point. 6. Get out on stable ground, switch to Anniversary graphics and walk over the Master Chief toy to collect it. Classic graphics can help you read the underlying terrain during the climb, but switch back before searching the end of the ridge. Otherwise you can reach the correct place and think the collectible is missing. Avoid throwing the Ghost over the crest at full speed. The goal is to gain the ridge, then stay on its solid surface; it isn't a jump across the lake. If the vehicle slides down, return to the approach and line it up again rather than boosting blindly toward a cliff edge. Updated MCC also has a documented **Acrophobia alternative**: enable it before the mission and fly to the rocky point for the toy. That is an optional collection method, not permission to expect a qualifying par time from the same settings. You still need to switch to Anniversary presentation and reach the actual toy. **Enchanted and Envy are different stops** **Enchanted** is early, at the bridge. Inside the control room, face Regret's hologram and inspect the terminal on its left. Activate it in Anniversary graphics. Pressing the bridge switch doesn't collect the terminal. **Envy** is later, in the ruins with shield barriers and the central structure. On Legendary, take the left-side raised route to the blocked doorway, climb the block and ledge, then use the documented upper-wall route to reach the two cloaked Elites and skull above. The companion collectible guide covers that climb in detail. Don't search the toy's rocky peninsula for Envy. The toy, terminal and skull are three different objects with separate achievement entries. Nor do you need to collect Envy before selecting its modifier in MCC's pre-mission menu. **The fifteen-minute run** For **So You Don't Want the Tank?**, choose whichever eligible route you're comfortable executing. The name does not forbid the Scorpion, a Ghost or a Warthog. Easy is allowed for the time achievement. Leave the toy detour and skull climb for another visit. Know the bridge-control location, avoid getting the tank repeatedly stuck in tight ruins, and make a deliberate transition to the later on-foot route. A familiar route without repeated deaths is a better starting point than copying a risky skip you haven't practiced. Keep going until the final temple's defending Honor Guards are dealt with and the mission ends. Don't stop the timer mentally when you leave the tank behind. Aim comfortably below fifteen minutes and verify the recorded result. **Boundless: ten thousand points** The current score target is **10,000**, not the 25,000 you may see in old launch guides. Enable scoring and finish the mission with a margin above the target. A scoring run can make good use of the tank. Take controlled shots at enemies and vehicles instead of charging past everything. Watch your own Marines and ODSTs before firing into a group; friendly-fire penalties are avoidable losses. Choose a difficulty and eligible multipliers you can manage without repeatedly dying. Don't assume a fast bypass route will leave enough enemies for your score, and don't spend unlimited time farming a fight while the time benefit falls away. For both records, leave zero-multiplier helper skulls off, read the game's warnings and finish the individual attempt in one session. Check each entry separately afterward. A qualifying score, a qualifying time and a vehicle-free finish are three different accomplishments, even when two happen to come from the same run.
