Halo 2: Delta Halo — the Envy skull and bridge-room terminal
Halo 2: Anniversary in The Master Chief Collection. Mission spoilers.
Delta Halo separates these two pickups by a fair stretch of the mission. The terminal is in the room where you extend the bridge. Envy comes later, above the ruins with the central building and shield barriers. Don't spend half an hour climbing around the bridge building looking for both.
This route covers **Envy and Terminal 6**. Delta Halo also has a Master Chief toy; that is a separate collectible, not another name for the skull.
**Choose the right difficulty**
**Envy requires Legendary.** Its MCC achievement is **Skulltaker Halo 2: Envy**. The terminal's achievement, **Enchanted**, can be earned on any difficulty.
For a combined run, select Legendary from the start. Keep a grenade available for the skull climb later. This isn't a skull that requires you to count checkpoints, wait for particular dialogue to finish or kill a special enemy in a particular way. The challenge is reaching it.
If you only need Enchanted, use whichever difficulty you're comfortable with. You don't need to complete a Legendary run just to activate that panel.
**First stop: Terminal 6 at the bridge control**
Progress through the landing battle and onward to the bridge that needs extending. Enter the nearby Forerunner structure to reach its control room. Inside are the bridge switch and a hologram of the Prophet of Regret.
Face the Prophet's hologram and look **to its left** for the terminal. Use Anniversary graphics, move close enough to interact and activate it. The bridge switch is a different object with a different job: operating it doesn't count as reading the terminal.
This is the early bridge-control room, not one of the later buildings with more Covenant fighting around them. The combination of the hologram and the bridge-extension switch is the landmark to trust.
Take the terminal before returning to your vehicle or continuing across. If you've already activated the bridge, don't assume that alone has collected anything. Check the actual terminal and interact with it.
**Continue to the ruins for Envy**
Cross the bridge and keep following the normal mission route. The skull stop is in the later ruins: a courtyard with a substantial central structure, columns, stationary shield barriers and plasma turrets around the surrounding ledges. Ghosts can be part of the fighting below. The paths are getting cramped if you're still driving the Scorpion.
Clear the threats around the side you'll be climbing before abandoning the vehicle. A grenade jump is awkward enough without an Elite firing at you from the courtyard.
From the area's normal entrance, use the **left-hand side**, taking the raised ramp and ledge toward the plasma-turret positions. Follow that ledge until you reach a doorway blocked by a large stone block. That's the start of the climb.
You don't need to remove the block. For this route, it is a step, not an obstacle to blast out of the doorway.
**Climb above the blocked doorway**
The route goes up the outside of that blocked-door structure:
1. Jump onto the block in front of the doorway.
2. Jump from the block onto the narrow ledge above it. Crouch as you clear the edge if you need the extra clearance.
3. Face the higher wall to your left. From the narrow ledge, use a grenade jump to reach its top.
4. Once above that wall, find the exposed patch of earth where the wall on the right ends. Move onto it and follow the adjoining stonework upward.
5. Look down into the upper area toward the center. Two cloaked Elites stand facing one another with the skull between them. Reach the skull and use your pickup control to claim it.
Don't reverse the left/right directions after wandering around the courtyard. The initial left approach is from the normal entrance; the grenade-jump wall is the one beside you after climbing the blocked doorway.
For the boost, start with full shields and settle on the ledge before throwing anything. Place the grenade so its blast will lift you toward the higher wall, then jump toward the landing as it detonates. Crouching near the edge can help with clearance. Too early leaves you without the lift; too late leaves you taking the blast while still standing beside it. Don't throw another grenade until you know where the first one has gone and your shields have recovered.
The two cloaked Elites are the landmark at the destination. Killing them isn't a required step to make Envy appear. You also don't need to enter the blocked room underneath and collect its weapons first.
**Check the pickup, then continue**
In MCC, physically collecting Envy earns its collectible achievement; it doesn't automatically replace Chief's flashlight with camouflage for the rest of that session. The Envy modifier is selected separately in the pre-mission menu. Old instructions about picking it up to activate it immediately describe the original game's behavior, not MCC's menu system.
If a failed jump leaves you alive below, return to the blocked doorway and line up the same climb again. If you've died, check where the game actually resumes you before deciding you need a full restart. There isn't a guaranteed conveniently placed checkpoint for every attempt.
Before heading farther through the ruins, confirm you've taken the skull rather than merely found the Elites. If you're returning solely for a missed terminal, go back to the earlier bridge-control section on a fresh visit; the later ruins do not contain a second copy of Terminal 6.
