Halo 2 in MCC: The Arbiter achievements without mixing up the mission and the character The Arbiter mission spoilers. Halo 2: Anniversary in The Master Chief Collection. The Arbiter has a much shorter achievement checklist than Metropolis. There isn't another hidden weapon to drag out of the scenery or a requirement to refuse every vehicle. In fact, one of the achievements is for getting into the aircraft the mission gives you. The important distinction is between **The Arbiter**, this particular level, and any level where you're playing as the Arbiter. They're not the same category. The Scorpion achievement, for example, isn't something you need to search this floating station for. **The six main targets** - **The Arbiter:** finish this mission. MCC permits any difficulty. - **YOLO Strats:** finish below the **15-minute** par time. - **Heresy Will Not Stay My Feet:** finish above the **7,000-point** par score. - **Inspector:** activate terminal 4 in the conveyor room after the hangar. - **Skulltaker Halo 2: Grunt Birthday Party:** collect the skull beneath the station on Legendary. - **Dirty Bird:** fly a Heretic Banshee. I'd handle the terminal and aircraft during an ordinary playthrough, do the skull detour on Legendary, and keep a separate clean run for any missing time or score record. There's no benefit in making the first flight harder because you're trying to land under the station while watching a timer. **Dirty Bird: use the parked Banshee** This isn't a hidden-aircraft puzzle. Follow the interior route until you see the Heretic Leader escape. Continue through the opened side route to the outdoor platform with the remaining Banshees, climb into one and take off. That is the opportunity for **Dirty Bird**. The achievement does not ask you to shoot down a set number of enemy aircraft, perform a trick, hijack a particular pilot or finish the flight without damage. Any difficulty works. The normal mission route takes you through this flight section, so you don't need to turn on a helper skull or invent a shortcut to reach it. If you've been flying around with Acrophobia instead, remember that flying your character is not piloting a Heretic Banshee. Get into the actual vehicle. Don't confuse it with **Six Pedals, Four Directions**, which involves driving a Scorpion while playing as the Arbiter. That is a separate achievement with a later opportunity; it is not another objective on this level. **Inspector: stop in the right room** The hangar switch opens the doors for your friendly Phantom. It doesn't count as terminal 4. Continue beyond the hangar into the room crossed by two conveyor tracks carrying gas canisters. Head to the raised area at the far right, using the ramp. The collectible terminal is against the wall near the far exit at the top, not on the moving machinery. Switch to Anniversary graphics and interact with it for **Inspector**. Any difficulty is suitable. Collect it before pushing through the rest of the interior pursuit to the Banshees; it's much less trouble to stop here than to wonder later which glowing panel you missed. **Grunt Birthday Party: collecting isn't activating** Use Legendary for the pickup achievement. At the first Banshee platform, take the aircraft beneath the station instead of immediately following the Phantom's route. The landmark is a horizontal connecting structure with three large cylinders hanging underneath. Land on the upper part of the middle cylinder, where it joins the support, and look beneath the overhead structure for the dancing Grunts. The skull is inside their circle. Leave the Banshee somewhere you can reach again. The pickup is not worth turning the return into an impossible jump. Approach the skull and use the pickup control; standing near it isn't the same action. You don't need to shoot the Grunts or enable the Grunt Birthday Party modifier beforehand. MCC lets you select modifiers independently of finding their physical skulls. Enabling the effect in the menu doesn't award **Skulltaker Halo 2: Grunt Birthday Party**. The separate collectible walkthrough covers the approach in more detail. For achievement planning, the important order is **terminal indoors, Banshee outside, skull underneath**. **YOLO Strats: fifteen minutes, not a required stunt** The name doesn't require a reckless route, a deathless run or a particular speedrunning trick. The actual target is the mission time, and Easy is allowed. Learn where the indoor exits are before chasing the clock. The hangar encounter has a control to activate and an onward route that opens as the fighting progresses. Repeatedly circling the upper floor or checking the wrong door wastes more time than a deliberate approach to the correct objective. Use camouflage for a specific crossing or approach, then let it recharge. It isn't permanent invisibility, and trying to stretch one activation through several occupied rooms can leave you surrounded when it expires. Skip optional exploration, not the mission progression you still need to trigger. Once airborne, stay with the pursuit. Deal with the indicated threats and continue toward the final landing rather than hunting the skull or inspecting every piece of architecture. Clear the final platform, land and enter the doorway to finish. The Heretic Leader's boss encounter belongs to **The Oracle**, not this level. Turn the timer on and aim below fifteen minutes with a margin. The ordinary walkthrough explains the route; it isn't a claim that every cautious first attempt will already make par. **Heresy Will Not Stay My Feet: seven thousand points** Turn scoring on and choose a difficulty you can finish consistently. Higher difficulty gives you more scoring potential, but repeated deaths and prolonged fights can make a higher multiplier a poor trade. Most importantly, **your Covenant squad is friendly**. Don't carry the previous missions' habits into this one and start firing at every Elite or Grunt. Friendly-fire penalties are especially avoidable when you're throwing grenades into a mixed fight or firing at platforms where your own troops have arrived. Keep a ranged option for enemies you can't safely reach with the sword. During the exterior section, take controlled passes at hostile aircraft and emplacements instead of hovering in front of them. A slightly slower, surviving approach is more useful than repeatedly losing the Banshee. Don't use the fastest possible bypass route and then assume it will provide enough points. Time and score are separate targets. Watch the running total, continue to the mission's actual end, and check the final recorded result rather than treating a mid-level number as the unlock. For time and score attempts, leave zero-multiplier helper skulls off and read the modifier warnings before launching. Complete each record attempt in one session. Settings that help retrieve a skull are not automatically eligible for campaign records. Once all six entries are accounted for, move on. There is no second hidden terminal or toy to find here, and the next mission's achievements don't require another sweep of this one.
