Halo CE in MCC: Two Betrayals achievement checklist Mission spoilers. This is **Two Betrayals in The Master Chief Collection**, not the standalone Xbox 360 Anniversary release or Campaign Evolved. Two Betrayals gives you two very different ways to make an already difficult mission harder. One asks you to leave the Grunts alone. The other asks you to leave every replacement weapon on the ground. Both require Legendary in MCC, and neither is something I'd casually tack onto a first attempt at beating the clock. **The seven mission targets** - **Two Betrayals:** finish the mission. - **Look Out for the Little Guys:** finish on Legendary without killing any Grunts. - **Leave It Where It Lay:** finish on Legendary without picking up a new weapon. - **Whistle Stop Tour:** beat the 20-minute par time. - **It Was Inevitable:** beat the 16,000-point par score. - **Memories:** activate terminal eight. - **Skulltaker Halo: CE: Pinata:** collect the Piñata skull in remastered mode. The important edition difference is **Look Out for the Little Guys**. Xbox 360 Anniversary accepts Heroic or Legendary. MCC requires **Legendary**. An older Heroic guide can take you through the entire mission without meeting the MCC requirement. **Look Out for the Little Guys: watch what your attacks actually hit** This is not a pacifist run. You can fight the other enemies. The restriction concerns Grunts, including the ones standing beside the Elite you actually meant to kill. For a solo attempt, make deliberate shots rather than spraying into a mixed group. Grenades are particularly risky: hitting your intended target doesn't help if the explosion also catches a Grunt. Apply the same caution to vehicle fire and driving through a crowd. An accidental kill is still a kill. That changes the way you approach each room. Identify the Grunts before firing, leave yourself a retreat, and don't let a panic grenade become your answer to getting surrounded. When other factions are fighting each other, you don't have to immediately join in. Look for a way through rather than assuming every encounter needs to be cleared by you. Co-op is a practical alternative. MCC achievement guides document a partner handling the Grunts while the player pursuing this achievement avoids killing them. That player can still help against other enemies when the area is clear of Grunts. Agree who is pursuing it before starting; don't assume both players get a free pass to kill Grunts because you're playing together. Neither the listed requirement nor the documented co-op approach makes this a deathless achievement. Don't import The Library's restriction into this mission. If you know you've killed a Grunt, though, don't rely on an unverified checkpoint trick to erase it. A fresh attempt is the unambiguous option. **Leave It Where It Lay: changing hands isn't picking up a replacement** You start with a shotgun and plasma pistol. You can switch between the weapons you're already carrying. The restriction is **picking up a new weapon**, not using the weapon-switch button. Treat a fresh gun on the floor as off limits even if it's the same type as one you already have. Swapping an exhausted plasma pistol for another plasma pistol is still a pickup. Finishing with the original weapon types doesn't undo a replacement made earlier. That makes the ordinary habit of grabbing every useful gun the main thing to watch. Check what you're about to interact with, particularly near a vehicle or a pile of bodies. Don't grab a rocket launcher because it would make the next encounter easier and expect to restore the challenge by dropping it afterward. Vehicle use is allowed; MCC guides document successful Banshee use. This is not a repeat of Halo's no-vehicle achievement. You can also fire your existing weapons and use grenades. Just remember that if you're combining this with the no-Grunt challenge, those attacks still have to respect that separate restriction. Co-op guides distinguish respawn equipment from deliberately picking up a gun. This achievement has no deathless condition. You can combine these two Legendary challenges, but I'd separate them while learning the mission. Keeping your starting equipment is enough to concentrate on without also checking every explosion for a Grunt casualty. **Time and score: give these their own attempts** **Whistle Stop Tour is under 20 minutes, on any difficulty.** Easy is a sensible choice for a dedicated time run. Learn the pulse-generator route, Banshee landings, and return paths first. The collectible detour isn't part of that attempt. This checklist gives you the target, not a claim that a cautious full-clear walkthrough will finish inside it. **It Was Inevitable needs more than the 16,000-point par score.** It doesn't specify Legendary. Use scoring, choose a difficulty and modifiers you can manage, and finish the mission with a margin. Don't combine a score attempt with deliberately avoiding a whole enemy type unless you already know the numbers work for your route. **Collectibles and the last checks** Memories is terminal eight, not the terminal from your earlier visit to this area. Piñata is the mission's skull pickup. Collecting it does not mean you have to enable its effect. Use the separate collectible route and confirm both unlocks rather than counting on remembering them during a challenge run. For time and score attempts, finish in one session where possible; Halo Support warns that quitting and resuming can cause unlock issues. Check skull warnings rather than assuming an unlimited-ammo setup preserves every other target. On PC, achievement attempts need the normal EAC-enabled game with unmodified files. Start with a normal completion and collectibles, then work through the restrictions separately. There is plenty going on in this mission already. You don't need to make every restart cost you four different objectives.
