Halo CE in MCC: Assault on the Control Room achievement checklist Mission spoilers. This covers **Assault on the Control Room in The Master Chief Collection**. It does not cover the later return through this area in Two Betrayals, the standalone Xbox 360 achievement list, or Campaign Evolved. The tank challenge on this level is easy to spoil before you even reach the tank. If you're working on Wraith Hunter, don't destroy the first Wraith with a rocket launcher just because it's sitting there firing at you. You need it alive until you can bring the Scorpion back. That's the kind of thing worth knowing before the run, rather than finding out after you've crossed half the mission. **The checklist** - **Assault on the Control Room:** complete the mission. - **Wraith Hunter:** destroy four Wraiths using the Scorpion. - **Skulltaker Halo: CE: Fog:** collect the Fog skull. - **Skulltaker Halo: CE: Malfunction:** collect the Malfunction skull. - **Hitchhikers May Be Escaping Convicts:** activate this mission's terminal. - **Madrigal Debut:** trigger the hidden Siege of Madrigal music cue. - **Would It've Killed You To Take The Elevator:** beat the 15-minute par time. - **Vetro Strike:** beat the 18,000-point par score. There is an edition trap here: **I'll Be Taking That!**, the achievement for piloting a Banshee on this mission, belongs to the standalone Xbox 360 Anniversary game. It is not an MCC achievement. The [mission's edition-by-edition table](https://t.co/KD9tTj7GPS) makes that distinction explicit. **Wraith Hunter: keep track of four actual tank kills** The weapon requirement matters. Destroying four Wraiths by whatever means you happen to have is not the challenge. Use the **Scorpion** for the kills. The route to keep in mind is: 1. **First snowy Wraith encounter:** get past this Wraith without destroying it. Reach the Scorpion, then bring the tank back to deal with it. 2. **Approach to the large underground tunnel:** look for the Wraith down in the valley near the tunnel approach. 3. **That same approach:** check the higher ledge for another Wraith. Don't drive underground with only two kills recorded in your own count. 4. **After the underground section:** destroy the Wraith at the frozen lake with the Scorpion before moving on. Those four positions are described in the [Wraith Hunter reference](https://t.co/mnIxNiTmkT) and cross-checked in the [MCC campaign guide](https://t.co/4YJWWCgCrt). The elevated target is the one I'd deliberately stop to check. It is much easier to overlook than the Wraith directly in your path. Reposition until you have a clean line of fire instead of assuming a tank on higher ground is decorative or belongs to a later fight. Don't abandon the Scorpion for a more convenient vehicle before finishing the four-kill job. Likewise, in co-op, agree who is doing this attempt rather than splitting the target kills between players and hoping the game treats them as one person's progress. The listed MCC condition does not impose Heroic or Legendary. Halo Completionist's [MCC guide description](https://t.co/yWH4DwDmOS) lists any difficulty with no required skull. **Madrigal Debut: the Banshee is transport, not the unlock** This one is for finding a hidden music cue. Simply sitting in a Banshee won't award it. Near the end of the level, when you emerge onto the bridge overlooking the control-room structure, get to the parked Banshee before the nearby Elite takes it. Then look at the tall structure over the control-room entrance. It has three projecting brackets or tiers. Fly to the **middle bracket** and land carefully. With yourself facing the cliff, walk toward the right end of that bracket, stopping around the point just before it drops into a steep slope. That's the documented music-cue location. This can be done on any difficulty. [Location reference](https://t.co/SHEjmv1B4a) Take your time getting onto the ledge. This is a separate exploration objective, not something to bolt onto a timed run while you're trying to shave seconds. The [MCC achievement guide](https://t.co/OzztOQh9EV) also identifies the later Banshee and middle-tier approach; you don't need to turn this into an early-bridge Banshee-grab trick. **Two skulls and the terminal** Fog and Malfunction have their own pickups. **Hitchhikers May Be Escaping Convicts** is the terminal achievement, not a requirement to transport a particular Marine or escape with someone in a vehicle. Use the separate collectible route for the exact locations and safe approaches. Keep those detours on a normal exploration run. If you're still practicing a jump to reach a skull, you're not making a useful par-time attempt at the same time. Collecting a skull and enabling its gameplay effect are different actions. You don't need to turn off your motion tracker or lose part of the HUD to prove that you picked up Fog or Malfunction. **The time target: 15 minutes** **Would It've Killed You To Take The Elevator** requires beating a **15-minute** par. Any difficulty is allowed. Some regional versions call it **Would It've Killed You To Take The Lift**; that is the same achievement. [Par-time and naming reference](https://t.co/VDFL7HkCh8) This is a long level, so learn the route before making the clock your priority. Repeated rooms, lifts, vehicle transitions and the final approach all cost time if you stop to work out where to go. Leave the skulls and music cue alone on the time attempt. Don't add the Wraith challenge unless you've already built those kills into a practiced route. This checklist is not a tested sub-15-minute walkthrough, and it does not promise that ordinary first-playthrough pacing will meet the target. It also doesn't require you to attempt a canyon drop or a version-sensitive opening Banshee exploit. **The score target: above 18,000** **Vetro Strike** uses an **18,000-point** par score. It has no stated requirement to play Legendary; difficulty affects scoring rather than being a separate unlock condition. [Score reference](https://t.co/JuHkkP2eKK) Use a separate scoring attempt with the score visible. Choose a difficulty and modifiers you can survive consistently. There are plenty of fights here, but skipping them to copy a fast completion route also means skipping scoring opportunities. Keep moving without rushing into avoidable deaths. Read skull warnings before launch, and finish time and score attempts in one session. On PC, use the normal anti-cheat-enabled launch, following [Halo Support's achievement guidance](https://t.co/Jv9M0J6lFL). I'd clear the level and collect things first, finish the four-Wraith job, then give time and score their own attempts. Most importantly: don't destroy your first target before you've brought the right tank to the fight.
