Halo CE in MCC: Truth and Reconciliation achievement checklist Mission spoilers. This guide covers **The Truth and Reconciliation in The Master Chief Collection**. The Xbox 360 Anniversary release has its own achievement list, and Campaign Evolved is a different game. Similar names do not make those lists interchangeable. The biggest trap here is treating every achievement as part of one perfect run. One asks you to stay hidden at the beginning. Another asks you to finish with sniper ammunition left. Then there's a time target and a score target. Those goals can pull you in different directions, especially once you're fighting through the ship. I'd start by learning the level and keeping the rifle. Leave the clock for later. **The basic checklist** These are the mission-specific targets to track: - **Truth and Reconciliation:** finish the mission. - **Close Quarters Combat:** finish with at least four sniper rounds remaining. - **All According to Plan...:** clear the opening enemy group without being detected. - **Skulltaker Halo: CE: Foreign:** collect the Foreign skull. - **Splinters:** activate this mission's terminal, the third campaign terminal. - **You Can't Handle the Truth:** beat the 20-minute par time. - **You Really Can't Handle the Truth:** beat the 19,000-point par score. The collectibles have their own route guide. Keep that open for the skull and terminal rather than trying to remember both locations while also protecting your ammunition. [Mission achievement reference](https://t.co/CDo5QwcOzc) **Close Quarters Combat: four rounds still means you can use the rifle** This is not a no-sniping challenge. You are allowed to fire the weapon. You just need to reach the mission's end with the rifle and at least four rounds left. Keep it in one slot throughout the run. Whenever you want a plasma weapon or another pickup, switch to your other weapon before swapping. That's a simple habit, but it stops you from accidentally leaving the sniper in a corridor and discovering it missing several fights later. Use the rifle when it genuinely helps. Don't spend the last few shots on enemies your secondary weapon can handle. Once you're getting close to the reserve you need, stop using it. I'd leave more than four until the last stretch so one rushed shot doesn't ruin the attempt. Check your ammunition before the final escape with Keyes. Reloading to leave a full four-round magazine is an easy visual check; don't fire it again afterward. The [MCC achievement description](https://t.co/SOPgPHlSGn) specifies the ammunition requirement, not a sniper-only run or a ban on using other weapons. Easy is valid for this challenge. There is no need to combine it with a first Legendary clear. Halo Completionist's [MCC guide description](https://t.co/vGE5urnmrY) explicitly lists Easy or higher and does not require a skull. **All According to Plan...: handle the opening before advancing** This applies to the **first encounter**, not the entire mission. You don't have to sneak through the cruiser afterward. Try it on Easy. Stay behind the starting rock cover and use the sniper to remove the opening enemies. Don't press right against the opening in the rocks; give yourself some room behind it. If enemies begin moving toward your position, pull back into cover rather than stepping out to finish a shot. Classic graphics can make this easier to read because the Anniversary foliage can obscure your view. Once the obvious targets are gone, carefully check for a sleeping Grunt below the ledge instead of assuming an empty-looking clearing means you've finished. Those positioning and visibility tips are documented in the [achievement reference](https://t.co/H1vVNcR21t...). If you've clearly been spotted, restart the opening attempt rather than spending the whole mission hoping it will count anyway. This is a good achievement to handle before committing to the longer ammunition-preservation run. Also, be careful with old troubleshooting advice. There really was an unlock problem, but official [November 2020 patch notes](https://t.co/6LBscCwXtO) list a fix for this achievement. A forum post from before that fix is not proof that you need to reinstall an old disc version today. **You Can't Handle the Truth: under 20 minutes** The target is **20 minutes**, and any difficulty is allowed. [Par-time reference](https://t.co/FYD2NPlAgZ) Use a separate Easy attempt once you know where you're going. The problem isn't just winning each fight. It's spending too long checking the wrong corridor, searching rooms you've already cleared, or stopping to collect something while the timer keeps moving. Learn the route through the ship first, including the prison section and the return journey. Keep progressing when the way forward is available, but don't mistake that for permission to run blindly into another locked encounter. You still have to meet the mission's progression requirements. Skip collectible detours on this run. Don't stop to preserve four sniper rounds unless you've already planned around that. A timed attempt should have one clear priority. This checklist is not a claim that the normal walkthrough automatically produces a sub-20-minute finish, and it doesn't depend on clipping through doors or killing allies. **You Really Can't Handle the Truth: above 19,000 points** The score target is **19,000**, not the 25,000 still quoted in some launch-era solutions. Both the [updated MCC score table](https://t.co/kFv7xlab0u) and [MCC walkthrough](https://t.co/PxU2TwolMt) list 19,000. Turn scoring on so you can see what the run is producing. Higher difficulty and scoring skulls can help, but they are tools, not a requirement to choose the most punishing combination available. A setup you can finish consistently is more useful than one that sends you back through the same fight repeatedly. Time still affects scoring. Don't interpret a score run as unlimited time to search every corner. Kill efficiently, avoid unnecessary deaths, and keep moving between encounters. Finish with a margin above the target rather than relying on an exact threshold. I'd leave the ammunition challenge out of this attempt. Having the freedom to use the sniper when it solves a difficult fight is worth more than forcing two achievements together. **Before committing to the run** Use the normal anti-cheat-enabled PC launch, read any skull warning, and finish scoring and time attempts in one session. Those are [Halo Support's recommendations](https://t.co/Jv9M0J6lFL), not extra difficulty rules for this mission. Get the clean completion and collectibles first. Sort out the opening stealth challenge. Keep your four rounds. Then come back for time and score with a route you actually know. There's enough going on aboard this ship without inventing extra restrictions for yourself.
