Halo CE in MCC: the achievement checklist for “Halo” Mission spoilers. This is the second mission of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary **inside The Master Chief Collection**. It is not a Halo 2 guide, and the requirements here should not be carried over to Campaign Evolved. There are a few very different jobs on this level. Exploring for skulls, walking the entire mission, shooting down Banshees and finishing quickly are not the same run. You can combine some of them, but there's no reason to turn a straightforward achievement into a miserable afternoon by trying to do everything at once. Here's how I'd split it up. **Start with the mission and collectibles** The mission-completion achievement is **Halo**. Finish the level and let it register before leaving the game. The three collectible achievements to put beside it are: - **Skulltaker Halo: CE: Mythic** — collect this mission's Mythic skull. - **Skulltaker Halo: CE: Boom** — collect its Boom skull. - **Sacrifice** — activate the second campaign terminal. Their actual locations and collection instructions belong in the separate collectibles guide. Finding a skull is not the same thing as switching its gameplay effect on. Don't make the level harder just because you picked one up. These names and mission associations are listed in the [mission's achievement table](https://t.co/728PF4NnAM). **No-Fly Zone: personally destroy three Banshees** The requirement is three of the level's four Banshees in **one playthrough**. Three separate restarts with one kill each won't do it. The first two attack near the opening bridge. Keep the pistol and deal with them before continuing into the level. If you immediately destroy one, its partner can retreat, so the useful approach is to damage both before finishing either. Watch for smoke, then concentrate on finishing them quickly rather than letting one disappear while you reload. You don't absolutely need both opening kills. You do need at least one: there are only two more available later. After the underground section, complete the first of the later Marine rescue encounters and return to the open canyon. That's where the later pair becomes relevant. Don't confuse this with the opening Marine defense before Foehammer delivers the Warthog. The [MCC achievement guide](https://t.co/0gWiaPp1cy) identifies the two pairs and the later rescue trigger. For this attempt, get the kills yourself. A Marine on your Warthog's gun shooting one down is not a substitute for your own kill credit. Park away from the fight and handle the aircraft on foot if necessary. That credit distinction matters more than whether you were nearby when it exploded. [No-Fly Zone reference](https://t.co/1ZGmBrWETe) I'd do this solo on Easy as its own cleanup attempt if the opening aircraft got away during the story run. That is a convenience recommendation, not a Legendary-only challenge. **How Pedestrian: stay out of vehicles** This means completing the mission without entering a vehicle, not merely avoiding the driver's seat. Don't hop into the passenger seat or onto the Warthog gun and assume it doesn't count. Use Easy for a less punishing attempt. Once the Warthog arrives, leave it alone. The important obstacle is the underground gap that you would normally jump in it. For a solo walking run, the established solution is a grenade jump. Keep a grenade for this section. Approach the takeoff edge, position the grenade so its blast will push you forward, and time your forward jump with the explosion. Start with restored shields rather than trying it while nearly dead. This is a technique to practice rather than something to improvise while you are nearly dead. The setup and blast direction matter; simply throwing a grenade near the ramp will not reliably carry you across. Once across, finish the rescue encounters on foot and take the normal end-of-mission Pelican extraction. That extraction is part of completing the achievement, not a reason to refuse the final pickup. [MCC requirement and gap guidance](https://t.co/fO5F5l7ouv) **Flyover Country: under 20 minutes** The par time is **20 minutes**, and this achievement allows any difficulty. Easy is the sensible starting point for a dedicated time attempt. [Requirement and time reference](https://t.co/Pw9F4lgSKH) Learn the route first. Then leave the collectibles alone, use the Warthog, and move between the rescue areas without repeatedly searching the canyon for the right entrance. Clear the fights needed to move the mission forward; a speed attempt is not a reason to stand around hunting every distant enemy. Keep the timer visible. If you lose several minutes practicing a jump or looking for the terminal, treat that as route practice rather than pretending you're still following a reliable par-time plan. The main walkthrough explains finishing the mission; it is not a guaranteed sub-20-minute route. The [MCC achievement solutions](https://t.co/E6sDx2wyq5) likewise recommend learning the route and using Easy. **Giant Hula Hoop: finish above 12,000 points** The par score is **12,000**. There is no fixed Legendary requirement; higher difficulties increase scoring opportunities. Aim above the threshold rather than trying to land exactly on it. [Par-score reference](https://t.co/VSfp4JJlF6) For this one, turn scoring on and make a separate attempt. Heroic is a reasonable option if you can finish its fights consistently. If it turns into repeated deaths, adjust the difficulty and scoring modifiers instead of assuming the hardest setup must be the best one. Read each modifier's effect and watch your actual score. Don't apply a zero-score helper and expect a scoring achievement. **Before you start another full run** On PC, use the normal anti-cheat-enabled launch. Check skull warnings before starting, and complete time and score attempts in one session rather than quitting halfway through and resuming later. Those are official [Halo Support recommendations](https://t.co/Jv9M0J6lFL). My order would be a normal clear with collectibles, Banshee cleanup if needed, the walking challenge, then separate time and score runs. Finish one job properly before making the next one harder than it needs to be.
