Shadowrun Returns: all 41 PlayStation trophies
Full story spoilers. Researched guide; no claim of firsthand unlock testing.
The PlayStation version has 40 tasks plus the Shadowrunner Platinum. Xbox has the same 40 achievement tasks. The original Steam release has no Steam achievement list, so this is for the console trilogy. There are no difficulty trophies; use the setting that makes the run fun. PlayStation list: https://t.co/92spunQdHX, Xbox list: https://t.co/uTZ8loOQQW, console walkthrough: https://t.co/J6QA2JiXMg.
Save before the opening fight, Pike Place Market, Coyote's Revenge, the Universal Brotherhood escape, and the Jessica Watts finale. The three Jessica endings exclude one another on a single branch, so keep a final save. Save before spending a pile of Karma on a trophy specific skill; you can reload and put it back into your real build. Some combat goals can be done with hired runners, while Mentor Spirit and some equipment goals need your own runner to meet the requirement.
Story and missable decisions
1. Shadowrunner — Earn all other 40 PlayStation trophies. The three Jessica outcomes need branch reloads or separate runs; the Platinum is not a Steam achievement.
2. Welcome to the Shadows — Let your runner die in the opening Down and Out fight, then reload. Do it before advancing; ordinary later deaths do not count. Opening walkthrough: https://t.co/4EUlFnxYt7.
3. Paco Power — At Pike Place Market, find Paco near the flashing traffic light. Ask about the zebra meat and then Coyote; he joins. Market walkthrough: https://t.co/pUzJNTiNuf.
4. 1-2-3-4 — In Coyote's Seamstress Union room, choose Password Recovery at her computer. Answer Shadow for first pet, Starfire for favorite musical act, Chicago for hometown. Seamstress walkthrough: https://t.co/7cANLq00sE.
5. For the Orphans — At the Pike Place murder scene, talk to Officer Aguirre after Dresden. He asks for a Lonely Orphans Fund contribution in exchange for Ripper information. Offer less, then pay ¥200; pushing him further can lose the deal. Market walkthrough: https://t.co/pUzJNTiNuf.
6. Jacked In — Enter a Matrix jackpoint with a Decker for the first time. A decker needs a cyberdeck and datajack. The story brings a Matrix route; do not leave the area before jacking in.
7. We're in! — Infiltrate the Inner Sanctum as the investigation advances. This is a main story objective, so continue the relevant mission rather than searching for a separate collectible.
8. Mentor Spirit — Your player character must choose a Shaman totem. Raise Charisma and Spirit Summoning until the totem choice appears; a hired Shaman's existing totem does not count. A console walkthrough reports that a custom troll with Charisma 6 and Spirit Summoning 3 can choose one during creation. Opening setup: https://t.co/4EUlFnxYt7.
9. Hanging up my robes — Leave the Universal Brotherhood with every team member alive. Save before the escape, heal anyone in trouble, and move the entire party to the exit. A surviving runner left behind does not satisfy the stated condition.
10. Insecticide — Search Silverstar's office and take the Aegis sample before leaving the mission. This is an objective interaction, not a kill count.
11. Sentimental Value — At Pike Place Market, speak to ork Frank beyond the murder scene. At Lucy's body, take her necklace: Quickness 4, Spirit Summoning 2, or bribing the officer for ¥50 are documented options. Return it to Frank before moving to the Royale Apartments. Market walkthrough: https://t.co/pUzJNTiNuf.
12. Taking it Slow — In Coyote's Revenge, clear the BTL pusher fight without killing the chiphead civilians. Speak to Gino and choose “Take it easy”, then “We will take it slow, there are drugs to help.” Mission walkthrough: https://t.co/VYNOtGDZro.
13. Just Desserts — At the Jessica Watts finale, choose to let the bugs eat her. Keep a save before the outcome for the other two conclusions.
14. A Dish Best Served Cold — Reload the finale and shoot Jessica before the bugs eat her.
15. No-one is Above the Law — Reload again and take Jessica with you to face justice. These three are distinct story outcomes. Trophy list: https://t.co/92spunQdHX.
Guns, grenades and melee
16. Shoot Straight — Land an attack while the displayed chance is below 30%. A shotgun or SMG fired from too far away can create a low percentage; keep shooting until one connects. The opening crew gives Sam a shotgun, so this can be attempted early. Opening walkthrough: https://t.co/4EUlFnxYt7.
17. (Don't) Conserve Ammo — Finish 15 enemies with an assault rifle. The weapon class in the console wording matters; a pistol or sniper rifle kill is not a safe substitute. Let the assault rifle take the last hit.
18. More Bullets, More Effective — Use an SMG's Spray & Pray when three enemies are in its firing area. The same activation must actually hit more than two enemies, so mark or soften a cluster before firing.
19. Boom — Hit at least four enemies with one area attack. Wait for a crowded encounter, check the highlighted blast area and throw a grenade or cast an area spell. Four kills are not required.
20. Chunky Salsa — Finish five enemies with grenades across fights. Low health groups make each grenade count.
21. Fire in the Hole — Keep going to 15 grenade kills. It is cumulative with Chunky Salsa; blast damage without the killing blow does not satisfy a kill target.
22. Quicker than your shadow! — Unlock pistol Chainshot, then kill three targets in one use. A console walkthrough raises Quickness, Ranged Combat and Pistol to 7 for a late game setup. Weaken three enemies, keep them in chain range, and fire when Chainshot's cooldown ends. Save before spending that Karma. Union combat route: https://t.co/1ImkZ3I5WY.
23. Shotgun Sniper — Kill an enemy while your shotgun user is at least ten tiles away. Weaken the enemy first because the shotgun's hit chance will be lousy at that range. Sam carries a shotgun in the prologue, offering an early attempt. Opening walkthrough: https://t.co/4EUlFnxYt7.
24. Killing Hands — Kill two targets with one Unarmed attack. Weaken and group two enemies so a multi target Unarmed ability can finish both. Player reports disagree on whether one killed enemy plus an ally hit also counts; plan for two enemy kills rather than relying on friendly fire. The precise ability name is still unverified. Trophy condition: https://t.co/54tH8rrQeY, player reports: https://t.co/1FdFkrcU3C.
25. Counter Strike — Prepare the Adept Counterstrike reaction beside a nearly dead enemy, then let it attack you. The reaction, rather than your normal attack, must deliver the kill. A console walkthrough uses an ork Adept and weakens a guard first. Union combat route: https://t.co/1ImkZ3I5WY.
26. Rifle Headshot — Use the rifle Headshot ability to kill a target that was at full health when the attack began. A weak hostile spirit is easier than an armored guard: a console walkthrough summons a low force elemental, lets it break control, then headshots it. Union combat route: https://t.co/1ImkZ3I5WY.
27. Wetwork — Raise Strength, Close Combat and Melee Weapons to 5 to unlock Cleave. Line up two weakened enemies horizontally or vertically and finish both with one swing. Reports disagree about hitting an ally plus killing one foe, so use two foes for a dependable attempt. Union combat route: https://t.co/1ImkZ3I5WY, player reports: https://t.co/1FdFkrcU3C.
Magic, spirits, healing and support
28. I Feel Great — Cast Heal Wound once for more than 30 HP. Let a high Body ally take a single large hit, then heal before another attack lands; the spell works on recent damage. Lower armor or a higher difficulty may help create the wound, but keep a save.
29. Wait For It... — Apply burn, bleed or another damage over time effect and stop attacking a low health enemy. The tick must kill it.
30. Come Forth — Summon five spirits from environmental spirit points over the campaign. The small skull icon by a puddle in the Down and Out prologue marks one early point; a Shaman can use later points too. Consumable fetishes are a separate summoning source. Opening walkthrough: https://t.co/4EUlFnxYt7.
31. Welcome to the Sixth World — Finish 20 enemies with damage from magic spells. A companion's bullet as the last hit will not advance a spell kill count.
32. Calling the Shots — Use Mark Target on ten enemies. Apply it routinely before focus fire; do not wait for a final mission with too few targets.
33. Place of Power — Put the caster on a ley line and kill an enemy with a spell from there. Check the caster's tile and let the spell land the last hit.
34. Awakened Predator — Continue to 30 spell kills. The first 20 also satisfy Welcome to the Sixth World.
35. Welcome to Hell — Obtain and equip Hellstorm Barrier, then cast it once. This asks for a cast, not a kill; check the equipped spell list before entering combat.
36. I Don't Have a Problem — Use five items the game counts as “combat stims.” Keep and consume them instead of selling everything between runs. The exact counted item list for Returns is not established by the sources used here; check a specific item's description before bulk buying.
Drones, decking, implants and Karma
37. Little Helpers — Have drones finish 15 enemies. Bring a Rigger or hire one, weaken enemies with the crew, then let the drone deliver the final shot.
38. Killing Machine — Buy and equip a class S drone on a Rigger who meets its Drone Control requirement. Merely owning it does not satisfy “equip.” Save before an expensive trophy purchase.
39. Hail to the King! — Buy and equip a Fairlight Excalibur cyberdeck on a Decker with sufficient Decking. Again, equip rather than just buy.
40. Built for the Streets — Put an enhancement in every cyberware slot type. Inspect the implant screen for empty types and budget both nuyen and Essence. Save first if your main build is a Mage; implants permanently reduce Essence.
41. Without Equal — Max an attribute at its racial limit. A console walkthrough reports an instant unlock from making a custom troll with Charisma 6 in character creation, since 6 is the troll's Charisma cap. Multiple PlayStation mirrors and Xbox say Attribute; one PlayStation mirror says “skill.” Opening walkthrough: https://t.co/4EUlFnxYt7, PlayStation text: https://t.co/q7ytXQlJLZ.
What remains uncertain
This guide covers all 41 PlayStation entries with researched methods. Killing Hands' specific multi target Unarmed ability name, whether an ally counts toward it or Wetwork, and whether all combat counters persist across reloads are not firmly established. Aim for two enemy kills in one attack and treat reloads as a way to retry a scene, not as a guaranteed way to accumulate a counter. No firsthand PlayStation testing is claimed.
