Van Helsing vs. Dracula Heavy spoilers for Van Helsing vs. Dracula below. I just got done reading Van Helsing vs. Dracula, and I was stunned. This was the most recent one I finished tonight, and it was an amazing read. Some really good moments in this one. It goes back to what happened at the end of the earlier story, and it brings in Jonathan and his girlfriend. They've opened up a shop that kind of brings the best of both worlds together, but she has this strange illness that they don't know what to make of. Then it goes down this whole trail that leads to them trying to hunt down Dracula. There was a lot happening in the story, and it was really well made. It introduced some vampire concepts that I hadn't thought about before, and I really enjoyed seeing where they went with all of that. The art was amazing. The story was amazing. Especially the part with Hades. He vanishes, and he makes her think he's abandoning her, but he's actually gone to get the bone they need to kill Dracula. That whole part was absolutely amazing. After reading more of her earlier story and then coming into this one, I really enjoyed seeing everything happening between the two of them here. And these weren't little individual comics I was burning through. These were the collected editions, the trade paperbacks with the miniseries together. Between Helsing: The Darkness and the Light, Wonderland: Asylum, The Little Mermaid, and this one, I probably read somewhere around 600 pages of comics tonight. That's my rough estimate, but it was a lot, and I loved every second of it. All four were amazing and fun to read. I've still got a lot more to get through. Genesis, Heroes Reborn, Heroes Rising, the Robyn Hood I Love New York collection, and two more Van Helsing books, the ones with Frankenstein and Dracula's daughter. It's going to take me a few days to finish up this part of the series. But this was a really good group of books to get through. I've been catching up on pieces I missed, and some of these ended up being some of my favorites. Van Helsing vs. Dracula was a great one to finish with tonight.
