Johanka walkthrough: from the patients to the trial I wrote a lot of content already about Kingdom Come Deliverance, guides, achievement guides, walkthroughs of different things, tips and tricks. Like there's a lot that I've already posted. But I just am wrapping up the Johanka quest and I'm very happy with the way that it's turning out. I want to go through this from the beginning, including the patients and how much time you have to help them. There are things you do well before the trial that come back up later, so I want those in here too. The achievements, the witnesses, the conversations you need to go back for. All of that. This covers Johanka's story in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1, including the endings. If you don't want those spoiled, stop before the trial section. Before you start Keep separate saves as you go. Especially with Ambrose, because one achievement involves failing what you were supposed to do for him. You can get that achievement, reload, and then help him properly. Also look at Full House Sinner and Cleric's Pet before getting too far into this. Both depend on things Henry has already done elsewhere in the game. Johanka's story is played as Henry, separate from Theresa's story. Achievement roadmap (https://t.co/2EIG41MxwI) In God's Hands: the patients Save before you offer to help Johanka at the infirmary. Once you've started, stay with it until the patients are treated. Don't pick up the quest and then spend several days doing other things. Hannes, Thomas and Philip can die if you take too long. Philip also needs time to recover after you give him the medicine, which is different from how long you have to get it to him. Quest journal (https://t.co/HifriTk7ma) Hannes is usually described as the first to die, around the third or fourth day. But there isn't a reliable exact number of hours here for each patient, so I'm not going to give you one. Get them treated as soon as you can. Patient timing reference (https://t.co/zbo7T1c2ll) Treat the conversation where you accept Johanka's work as the beginning of the timer. That's what the more recent player reports describe. Older reports disagree, including claims about patients already being gone, so I wouldn't plan around being able to leave this sitting for days. Timer discussion (https://t.co/nUJXs72jT3), older reports (https://t.co/bIXlrSg7eB) There isn't a confirmed death timer for Semek or the Insomniac. Semek's failure entry doesn't prove time killed him. Help them while you're there. Hannes, also called Hans: 10 bandages He's on the infirmary floor. Talk to him and get 10 bandages. Nicodemus sells them if you're short. Then make sure his wound actually gets bandaged. With First Aid II, Henry can do it. Otherwise, ask Nicodemus to handle it. Don't stop at getting the bandages and assume you've finished helping him. Hannes walkthrough (https://t.co/h5ywWqaluS), First Aid II (https://t.co/i6V3x3Vndd) Thomas: set his broken leg Examine him and ask Johanka about his leg. If you have First Aid III, you can reset it yourself. If you don't, follow the conversation about the executioner and go to Hermann in Rattay. He tells you how to do it. Then come back and treat Thomas. You don't have to somehow get Hermann into the monastery. Helping Thomas also keeps him available as one possible lead in If You Can't Beat 'em later. There are other ways through that quest if he dies. Thomas treatment (https://t.co/zbo7T1c2ll), later quest (https://t.co/WYHF4o32zI) Philip: Father Simon and Artemisia Doing A Man of the Cloth first saves you time here. Examine Philip, ask about his condition, and follow the objective to Simon. If he's been rescued, look for him in Rovna. If he hasn't, the surviving villager there starts A Man of the Cloth. Ask Simon about Philip, then bring back Artemisia and give it to Philip. After that, check him again after at least two in-game hours. You don't need to wait a whole day just to see whether the treatment worked. Philip's objectives and recovery wait (https://t.co/HifriTk7ma) If you're brewing Artemisia, you need spirits, one sage and two wormwood: 1. Add the sage and boil it for one turn. 2. Grind the wormwood, add it, and boil for two turns. 3. Let it cool, then distil it. You still have to give Philip the potion after finding out what he needs. Talking to Simon doesn't cure him by itself. Artemisia recipe (https://t.co/EC1EqK9tHg) Semek: comfrey The purple herb he's asking for is comfrey. Give him one. You can buy it from Nicodemus or gather it around the monastery garden, so you don't need to go searching across the map for it. Semek's herb (https://t.co/sBNkLi4igk) The Insomniac: Lullaby He needs a Lullaby potion. You can bring one with you or ask Nicodemus about sleeping medicine and brew it there. For the recipe, use oil, one poppy, one thistle and one herb Paris. Add the poppy and boil for one turn. Add the thistle and boil for another turn. Let it cool, add the herb Paris, and bottle it. Lullaby treatment and recipe (https://t.co/h5ywWqaluS) Buying the potion works too. If he asks for more later, don't let that pull you away from someone who still needs their first treatment. Insomniac follow-up (https://t.co/JvR3rLKwrI) Food, supplies and Sebastian Johanka's optional food request needs 100 pieces of meat. For the supplies, speak to Nicodemus about the conditions, then ask the Custodian to help. You can persuade him or pay; the payment is listed as 150 groschen. Infirmary supplies (https://t.co/zbo7T1c2ll), food request (https://t.co/JvR3rLKwrI) Be careful when Sebastian turns up at the infirmary. You can end up in jail after that conversation, and the patients still need you. A high Speech number doesn't guarantee you'll get your way with him. Letting the argument go is better than losing time in jail while someone is waiting for treatment. Custodian encounter (https://t.co/JvR3rLKwrI), walkthrough (https://t.co/h5ywWqaluS) Finish whatever you can in the room before leaving for Simon or Hermann. Come straight back from those trips, check Philip's recovery, and look through the patient objectives before telling Johanka you're done. If somebody has disappeared, check the journal for a death or failed objective before assuming it's a bug. For a run where everyone survives, you may need that earlier save.
