Uncharted: which game and which version?
No major story spoilers.
There are a few different things under the Uncharted name, and I want to separate them before getting into all the guides. A remastered collection isn't another chapter of the story. And the Vita card game isn't going to play like Drake's Fortune just because Nathan is on it.
The adventures
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune — 2007, PS3. The first Nathan, Elena and Sully adventure, following the search for El Dorado. The PS4 remaster is included in The Nathan Drake Collection. Keep the two trophy lists separate; the remaster has additional difficulty and speed-running challenges.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves — 2009, PS3. Nathan follows the trail of Marco Polo's lost fleet toward Shambhala. Chloe joins the cast, and Elena is part of this story too. There is a PS4 remaster in The Nathan Drake Collection. The original PS3 game's online services closed in 2019. An old PS3 trophy guide that tells you to jump into a match is not giving you a usable route today.
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception — 2011, PS3. The search for the Atlantis of the Sands puts more of Nathan and Sully's history into the story. Its PS4 remaster is the third game in The Nathan Drake Collection. The PS3 multiplayer shutdown affects this one as well, so original online trophies and the remaster's offline challenges need their own sections.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss — 2011 in Japan, 2012 internationally, PS Vita. Bend Studio's handheld adventure follows Nathan before Drake's Fortune, with Marisa Chase and Jason Dante. This is a separate adventure, not a portable version of the first console game. It uses Vita features for things like photographs, rubbings and interactions. It isn't included in either of the big remastered collections.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End — 2016, PS4. Nathan's brother Sam returns, and the search turns to Henry Avery's pirate treasure. The PS4 release includes multiplayer; the newer Legacy of Thieves version does not. That is a real difference when you're checking a trophy guide, not just a graphics setting.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy — 2017, PS4. Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross lead this adventure in India. It's a standalone story, not a numbered Nathan Drake sequel. The original PS4 release and the Legacy of Thieves release also need separate trophy handling.
The smaller spinoffs
Uncharted: Fight for Fortune — 2012, PS Vita. A turn-based card game using the series' characters and artifacts. It has its own trophy list, plus expansion trophies. It is not another climbing-and-shooting campaign. The game and its expansions were delisted, and its online victory trophy is discontinued. Don't buy old hardware assuming every trophy can still be earned.
Uncharted: Fortune Hunter — 2016, iOS and Android. A mobile puzzle game built around moving Nathan through traps and treasure rooms. Naughty Dog discontinued it in March 2022. Their notice allowed players with it already installed to continue offline, but it was removed from the stores and its online features were shut down. That makes it an archival part of the series, not a normal current download recommendation.
The collections
The Nathan Drake Collection — 2015, PS4. Bluepoint's remasters of Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves and Drake's Deception. Three campaigns, not a fourth game. These are the single-player campaigns; they don't restore the original PS3 multiplayer. They have their own trophy lists and added remaster challenges.
Legacy of Thieves Collection — 2022, PS5 and PC. A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy together. PS5 launched January 28 and PC followed October 19. It does not include the first three games or Golden Abyss, and it doesn't include the PS4 multiplayer modes. The collection's trophy/achievement setup also isn't just the two original PS4 lists pasted together.
Other edition labels you may see
Uncharted 2 had a Game of the Year edition in 2010, and Uncharted 3 had one in 2012. Those bundled existing games with additional content; they are not separate stories. Limited, special and collector editions also do not create extra campaigns. Check the actual platform, game and installed content instead of assuming a different box means a different adventure. An old voucher or multiplayer DLC bundle is not a promise that its downloads or online features still work today.
The old browser promotions
There were also promotional browser experiences. Drake's Trail used Google Maps and Flash in 2007, and a small Flash version of Among Thieves appeared in 2009. Those belong in the history of the series, but I haven't verified a working official version of either. I'm keeping them separate from the console, handheld and mobile releases rather than sending anybody to a dead page and calling it another playable campaign.
The order I'd use for these posts
Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves, Drake's Deception, Golden Abyss, A Thief's End, The Lost Legacy, then the two smaller spinoffs. That keeps the main series moving in release order while giving the Vita adventure its own space.
If you want Nathan's early handheld adventure first chronologically, Golden Abyss comes before Drake's Fortune. But release order is a perfectly reasonable way to see how the games developed. I'm keeping the guide labels clear so nobody starts following a PS3 online requirement in a PS4 remaster or looking for a Vita collectible in the wrong game.
There have been reports about more Uncharted. I haven't verified a newly announced game to add to this list, so I'm not treating rumors as another released entry.
