Fortune Hunter: puzzle guide for an existing offline copy
The first thing with this one is that it's a discontinued mobile game. If you still have a working copy, this is how to approach it. I can't promise that a fresh download, the old online rewards or every historical walkthrough will work now.
Getting through a board
Look at the whole board before you send Nathan anywhere. Find the exit treasure, then work backward through the platforms and switches that would let him reach it. A short-looking route doesn't help if it leaves the switch you need on the other side of a gap.
Trace the route with your finger before committing to it. You can inspect the path and pull your finger back rather than releasing Nathan straight into a move you didn't mean to make. Once a switch has been activated, the markings help identify the blocks attached to it. Use that information to plan the next attempt instead of changing several things and losing track of what each switch did. Path and switch tips (https://t.co/EqcGlwqZQa)
There are two goals to think about: solving the board and solving it within the key's move allowance. If you can finish but you're over the allowance, that isn't a reason to throw the whole solution away. Work out the safe route first, then remove unnecessary movement. The key is the extra reward for an efficient solution. How the move limit works (https://t.co/stgvQtjj7y)
Switches, shots and blocks
You need to stand close enough to operate an ordinary switch. A shootable target can be triggered from farther away, but you need an unobstructed shot. Look for a position that lets you control more than one part of the board before you start walking back and forth between them. Switch interaction (https://t.co/HaT8iG7I6q)
Shooting a switch doesn't spend a movement step. That gives you a way to test what it controls without using up the walking allowance. After the first activation, note which symbols appeared and which blocks moved. Where the level has moving spotlights, their direction is opposite Nathan's movement. Match the required ground symbols, but don't line up the skulls. Switches and spotlight mechanics (https://t.co/ECycknmgPO)
Don't push a movable block just because it's next to you. Check whether you need it as a bridge, a way to hold something in position or an obstruction you must get out of the way first. The order of those actions can matter more than the distance to the treasure. The game also uses explosives and remotely triggered mechanisms; get the route ready before destroying the thing you still need to stand on or get past. Puzzle tools (https://t.co/HT39ZBfnDp)
Keys and optional treasure
Don't force every optional treasure into your shortest route. Some boards need a separate treasure run and key run. Finish the efficient route for the key, then revisit for the extra treasure without trying to satisfy both goals at once. Check suspicious rocks for the faint glow that can reveal a hidden treasure. Treasure guidance (https://t.co/ECycknmgPO)
This is also where old guides need some care. Updates changed existing boards, including part of the second map. If your layout doesn't match the video, stop following those directions. Match the actual board and version; don't assume you're making a mistake because an older route no longer fits.
The six adventure maps and archived routes
- Captain Kidd's Boa Mask
- Macalpin's Viking Sword
- Grace O'Malley's Celtic Brooch
- Pizarro's Skull Cup
- King Toera's Golden Tortoise
- John Hawkins' Burial Urn
The first four map archives (https://t.co/ECycknmgPO), Golden Tortoise archive (https://t.co/XomIWqnyxJ) and Burial Urn archive (https://t.co/CQOIfi4Gng) preserve older level demonstrations. They are references, not a guarantee that every board matches every surviving installation.
There isn't a PlayStation platinum route or a conventional gun-loadout guide to attach to this mobile game. Nathan's gun is one of the puzzle tools. Keep the focus on the board, the treasure and the move limit rather than treating it like one of the console campaigns.
Coverage note: this is a mechanics guide and archive index, not verified move-by-move solutions for every board. Surviving guides cover different versions, and I couldn’t establish a reliable complete set of final-version routes.
