Gears Tactics: finding equipment cases
This game needs a different kind of collectible guide. The equipment inside cases is randomized, and their placements can vary. A fixed list saying a particular weapon mod is always behind a particular wall would be misleading.
Before moving the squad, pan around the entire mission map. Case markers can be visible beyond your soldiers' sight, so look into the fogged areas as well. Plan a route that gets the cases without leaving someone isolated or missing the mission objective.
In a Scavenger Run, collect the required cases while staying ahead of the advancing bombardment. Don't send everybody back for one box when the extraction route is getting dangerous. Check the optional objective too; it can reward collecting more than the minimum.
Open earned cases from the inventory between missions, then compare the actual bonuses rather than replacing something just because its rarity is higher. Keep useful mods for the different classes. Later missions and Veteran play provide further opportunities for higher-tier equipment.
For the Legendary-mod achievements, the target is one fully fitted primary weapon, then the primary weapons of Gabe, Sid, Mikayla, and Reyna. Jacked mode adds the separate Supreme-mod target. Those are equipment goals, not a hidden set of COG tags.
