Gears Tactics: achievement guide 61 achievements: 50 original and 11 Jacked-mode additions. Single-player; no multiplayer boosting needed. Methods below are researched, not personally tested. Don't combine deliberate friendly-fire/downing tasks with your no-casualty run. Campaign and difficulty 1. World on Fire: finish the opening tutorial, Act 1 Chapter 1. 2. Hell of a shot: continue through Act 1 Chapter 4 and recruit Mikayla. 3. The bigger they are, the harder they fall: defeat Act 1 Chapter 6's Brumak. Shoot its guns, reposition around its marked attacks, then attack its back tanks. 4. Maybe too much spine…: finish the deserter rescue in Act 2 Chapter 3. 5. Broken hand, broken heart: defeat the Corpser in Act 2 Chapter 8. Leave its marked attack zones; clear reinforcements before they trap your squad. 6. Dead men tell no tales: finish Act 3 Chapter 1's Prescott encounter. 7. Champion of Vasgar: finish the entire campaign at any difficulty. 8. Hero of Vasgar: finish it on Experienced or Insane. 9. Savior of Vasgar: finish it on Insane. 10. I am Ironman: complete a campaign with Ironman enabled from the start. Beginner separates this requirement from Insane's risk; actions are autosaved, so treat casualties as permanent. 11. Immortal Legion: complete the Insane campaign without losing a unit. Maintain that difficulty and keep every deployed soldier alive, not just the named heroes. Use normal checkpoints rather than combining this with Ironman. Sources: story milestones (https://t.co/3BvU4J44Rw), difficulty requirements (https://t.co/R0sMxxm6j2), Immortal Legion (https://t.co/WiERjpoQwd). Mission goals 12. The path of the righteous man: complete one mission with no deaths or downs. Use the tutorial and protect both units. 13. God-like: accumulate 20 such missions. 14. Immortal: accumulate 100. Continue in Veteran mode; don't deliberately down units during this grind. 15. Everyone stay cool, this is a robbery!: win a Control side mission. Occupy the supply zones and clear enemies contesting them. 16. Stronger Together: finish a Rescue side mission; free both captives and extract everyone. 17. Fortuna Audaces Sequitur: finish a Scavenger Run. Collect its required cases and get ahead of the bombardment to extraction. 18. Smash!: finish a Sabotage side mission; destroy the objective and extract. 19. We're in the endgame now: finish a Veteran side mission after the campaign. 20. I could do this all day: complete 20 Veteran missions. Track completions, not just ordinary campaign side missions. 21. We should have shotguns for this…: finish a Veteran mission using Scouts only. Choose a manageable Scavenger mission and use movement/Cloak skills. Keep this as a Classic-mode attempt so Jack doesn't complicate the roster condition. 22. Ain't no one like me, 'cept me!: complete an Insane mission with one soldier. A high-level Scout in a Classic-mode Veteran Scavenger mission can focus on cases/extraction instead of clearing everything. Don't change campaign difficulty during an Insane-completion attempt. 23. High Noon: complete a mission dealing damage only through Snub pistols. Act 1 Chapter 3 on Beginner is a straightforward attempt: switch every controlled/rescued Gear to the pistol immediately. Skip grenades, chainsaws and bayonets; ordinary executions of downed enemies have reported success, but avoiding them removes ambiguity. Sources: mission requirements (https://t.co/Y6qupn5WpS), Veteran/solo route (https://t.co/djPUwMGJHc), pistol method (https://t.co/idijYO2CQu). Equipment and simple combat 24. Grubslayer:10 enemy kills. 25. Grubslaughter:1,000 kills. 26. Grubpocalypse:10,000 kills. This is a long-term counter; keep playing Veteran missions rather than confusing it with campaign completion. 27. Tactics!: use the Lancer's chainsaw execution when a valid target is in range. 28. Oh I'm sorry did I break your concentration?: use the Snub's disabling shot against a unit actively covering an Overwatch cone. 29. I never miss: land a shot showing 10% or lower hit chance. Try low-probability shots on a safe cleanup turn; don't risk the whole squad for it. 30. Snafu: put an injured enemy inside a Stim grenade's healing area. 31. Aw man, I shot Marvin in the face: down a friendly Gear with friendly fire. Do this on a separate cleanup attempt, then revive them. 32. Demolition Expert: grenade a developing Emergence Hole before anything emerges; plant an explosive at its opening when the warning appears. 33. Piñata: have every deployed Gear damage the same surviving enemy, then finish it. Use a durable target and low-damage attacks first. 34. BOGO: line up two weakened enemies so one gun burst kills the front one and the one behind it. 35. Legen (wait for it)…: fill every primary-weapon mod slot with Legendary equipment on one weapon. 36. …dary!: do the same for Gabe, Sid, Mikayla and Reyna. Keep four complete suitable sets equipped together; don't assume Supreme substitutes for the specifically Legendary condition. 37. Tick Tick Tick…: kill an enemy using a Ticker's explosion. 38. Boom!: accumulate 100 kills caused by Ticker blasts. Favor groups clustered near a Ticker; a Ticker merely dying isn't automatically a kill credited against another enemy. 39. I've got your 'BOOM' right here!: pick up a Boomshot and use it to finish a Boomer. 40. Happy Killmore: kick a nearby Ticker toward an open Emergence Hole so the explosion closes it. 41. Trick Shot: kill four enemies with one Torque Bow attack. Act 2 Chapter 6 has grouped Wretches; use the aiming preview to ensure four lethal targets before firing. Skill combinations 42. Up Up Down Down: trigger both Alpha and Omega twice in one turn. Give a Sniper both skills and a magazine-reducing mod leaving one round. Fire, reload, fire; each shot is both the first and last round. 43. Three Count: land three Explosive Shots in one turn while the Heavy has maximum Anchored. Build Anchored without moving; two Supports with Surge reset Explosive Shot between uses. Supply extra AP with Empower if necessary. Avoid increasing maximum Anchored beyond the stacks you've actually built. 44. Check out the big brain on Brett!: get five kills from a single Overwatch. At Act 1 Chapter 5's opening, set a loaded Heavy in the Wretches' approach, give it fiveAP using Supports' Empower, keep the rest of the team behind, then cover the approach rather than scattering enemies. 45. Trouble in Paradise: apply Teamwork and Empower to one damage-dealer, then obtain threeAP from its kills. The grouped Tickers at Act 3 Chapter 1 provide a practical setup; use upgraded Teamwork. 46. Midnight Hour: unlock a Vanguard's Avenger and Rage Shot. Let a weak ally be downed by a Wretch, triggering Avenger, then kill that same Wretch with Rage Shot. Keep this separate from the no-down run. 47. Backdoor Man: come out of Cloak and kill six enemies with one Rampage. Use a Scout with those skills against a tight enemy group; Act 3 Chapter 1's reinforcement encounter is one documented opportunity. 48. The Big Ending: revive a downed Scout with the Support's Stim ability, then use that Scout's Rampage for five kills. The same grouped encounter can serve; reserve enoughAP or add Empower before Rampage. 49. Great vengeance and furious anger…: deploy Vanguard, Scout, Sniper and Heavy. Breach three targets with the Vanguard; during that turn, finish one each using Precision Shot, Reckless Shot and Double Shot. Weaken targets beforehand and avoid a mission forcing Gabe into a needed class slot. 50. Seriously Tactical: complete Grubpocalypse, Immortal Legion, I could do this all day and Boom! All four are needed; it is not simply the campaign's hardest-difficulty reward. Jacked-mode additions These require a Jacked campaign, not the Classic campaign. 51. Number 5 is alive!: finish a mission with Jack deployed. 52. All For One!: stack Wingman three times on one ally in a turn; Act 1 Chapter 3 is an early opportunity. 53. One For All!: have four squad members under the Jacked status simultaneously. In Act 1 Chapter 3, open both rescue pods to get four Gears, then use Jack's Wingman on each one while preserving the overlapping status. 54. For he is truly his brother's keeper…: make Jack personally open both torture pods in one Rescue mission. 55. Jack and the Beanstalk: finish the Act 1 Chapter 6 Brumak fight without Jack taking damage. Keep him away from marked blast/stomp areas and do not use him as a distraction. 56. You can't see me!: let Hidden Jack capture a supply point with no other ally inside that point. Hold position until the supply scores. 57. Zed's dead, baby.: kill each Deviant type: Wretch, Hammerburst Drone, Sniper, Kantus and Disciple. Keep a checklist as they appear. 58. I've done the whole mind control thing…: Hijack each non-boss enemy type. Checklist: ordinary/Deviant Wretch; ordinary/Deviant Hammerburst Drone; ordinary/Deviant Sniper; ordinary/Deviant Kantus; ordinary/Deviant Disciple; Grenadier, Zealot, Boomer, Theron Guard and Ticker. 59. Untouchable: finish a Veteran mission without any damage. A high-level Scout and Jack can use a Scavenger side mission: plan the pickup/extraction route and preserve concealment. Picking up a case can break Cloak, so recloak before exposing a unit. Tracking issues have been reported; don't assume a failed unlock proves the route was invalid. 60. Suit Up!: equip every mod slot of one weapon with Supreme mods earned in Jacked mode. 61. Seriously Jacked: unlock the other ten Jacked achievements.
