Gears 5 — all 98 Operation and update achievements
Companion to the 68 base-game and 15 Hivebusters entries: 181 total.
The important thing here is not to follow a launch-era guide blindly. Characters and PvE classes were separated. Ranked became Competitive. Totems disappeared. Some achievements still use old wording even though the system underneath them changed.
Research checked October 30, 2026; this is not a claim that every server, playlist or unlock was live-tested today. Custom Versus is useful for ordinary mode/map tasks, but Competitive and Versus Event requirements need their actual qualifying playlists. A retired public Arcade or Gridiron playlist does not automatically mean its custom version is gone. If a required playlist is absent, stop that task rather than pretending another mode qualifies. Finish matches and allow results to synchronize.
Operation 3 — 32 achievements
1. Planned and Executed: In one 2v2 Gnashers round, personally execute both opponents. Down rather than gib the first, execute, then repeat on the second; coordinate with your partner so they do not take the finishes.
2. Dynamic Duo: Win ten Competitive 2v2 Gnashers matches. Custom wins are not replacements. Use a regular partner, concentrate fire and revive each other instead of both chasing separate fights.
3. All of Allfathers: Win rounds covering all nine configurable Allfathers Arena pieces. In custom settings cycle these Field/Room/Hall combinations: Honor/Faith/Order; Glory/Loyalty/Labor; Purity/Humility/Diligence. Win with each configuration. If progress stalls, replay the first set and let the results save.
4. Sampler: Finish one match each of Free For All, Arcade Blitz and Gridiron. Keep a three-item checklist; an Arcade Deathmatch is not Arcade Blitz.
5. Close Call: Win Arcade Blitz when the other side is no more than 25 points short of victory. In a coordinated custom game let them approach the target, then take control and finish ahead without allowing their last points.
6. Ring Leader: Win Arcade Blitz and lead the ring-points scoring. Stay inside scoring rings; kills away from the objective do not replace ring time.
7. Come From Behind: In FFA, fall at least ten kills behind the leader and then finish first. A private partner can establish the lead before you begin your comeback; use a sufficiently high score limit.
8. Resourceful: In a single FFA match, kill with every qualifying pickup weapon. A documented custom 14-player FFA setup simplifies the pool: replace Boltok/Boomshot with Gnasher, Enforcer/Frags with Lancer, and Incendiaries/Longshot/Torque Bow with Snub. Then obtain a kill with each of those three resulting weapons in that match. Check the substitution menu before starting; this is a reported custom method, not a promise about every future ruleset.
9. Line Them Up: Defeat ten different opponents in one FFA match. Use the 14-player variant with a full field; repeatedly killing the same few enemies will not do it.
10. Paydirt: Carry Gridiron's flag into the enemy scoring zone and complete a touchdown. Have teammates cover the approach rather than trying to fight while carrying it.
11. Victory Seized: Win an FFA match. Combine with the comeback and pickup-weapon tasks when practical.
12. Shutout: Win Gridiron without the opposing team earning any points. A clean private game is more controllable than matchmaking; prevent both enemy touchdowns and round wins.
13. Lay of the Land: Complete Versus on Allfathers Arena, Lift, Mid, Boxes, Nethercutt, Pit and Core. Small 2v2 maps and larger FFA maps require compatible modes, so change mode when a map is missing from the selector.
14. Optimal Armaments: Finish Arcade Blitz using an Operation 2 or 3 character; Baird is a straightforward choice. Select the character for the side you will actually play.
15. Proficiency: Master one Operation 2 hive and one Operation 2 Horde map. Horde choices are Allfathers Arena or Lift; hive choices are in the checklist below. Use standard Horde from the lobby if Frenzy fails to register; late-joining a completed run is not a reliable shortcut.
16. Highly Capable: Same structure for Operation 3: Canals or Pahanu in Horde, plus one of its six hives. All Master modifiers must be enabled. The full standard Horde run is the conservative tracking option.
17. In the Name of..: Own skins representing three different characters introduced after launch. Three costumes for one character are not three characters. Old Totem instructions no longer apply.
18. A Very Particular Set of Skills: Raise thirty distinct skill cards to at least level three. Spread upgrades across the classes you are already leveling; do not count duplicate copies as separately upgraded cards.
19. The Path To Victory: Re-up five times. Reach account level 100 and perform each re-up; class XP is separate.
20. Go, Hunt In Packs: Reach re-up ten. Keep re-upping rather than sitting at the level cap.
21. Destroy Them, My Children: Reach re-up twenty. This also contributes to Seriously Chapter 1.
22. Be Aggressive, Devious: Reach re-up thirty. Work toward PvE class/map tasks at the same time instead of treating all XP grinds separately.
23. HordeBusters: Complete fifty Horde waves with Mac, Keegan and Lahni represented in the squad. Arrange the appearances before starting and use a full 1–50 run to avoid ambiguity; their modern classes can be chosen independently.
24. These New Recruits Got Grit: Complete fifty consecutive Horde waves as Lizzie, Clayton, Baird or Cole. Begin at wave one and keep the selected character throughout.
25. Hi-Ho, Silverback: Get 200 Horde kills with the Silverback. Select Pilot, equip its Silverback-supporting cards and save the ultimate for crowded waves. Merely equipping Lizzie's appearance does not give another class this ability.
26. Expanded Expertise: Bring any one of Combat Medic, Pilot, Gunner, Robotics Expert or Brawler to class level fifteen. Choose one that also advances your later all-class checklist.
27. Fresh Lineup: Complete Escape with every team member drawn from COG Gear, Lizzie, Clayton, Baird or Cole. Confirm all three appearances before launching; do not accidentally leave a default Scorpio character in the party.
28. New Hivebusters: Finish an Escape as Lizzie, Clayton, Baird or Cole. This can overlap Fresh Lineup.
29. Destroy From Within: Finish all six Operation 2 hives on Experienced or above. In custom Escape, Experienced means selecting at least two difficulty modifiers; complete the extraction, not merely the safe room.
30. Stop 'Em Cold: Kill the Escape Matriarch using the Relic Dropshot. Ice Queen provides the relevant weapon; take the early right-hand weapon route and preserve ammunition for her. Weaken her with other attacks if necessary, but land the lethal Relic Dropshot hit yourself.
31. Hives: Busted: Finish all six Operation 3 hives on Experienced or above. Use the checklist below and verify each extraction registers.
32. Buying Time: Activate a Scrubber Room. On The Barracks, inspect the right-side control panel in the opening section and use its interaction prompt to slow the venom.

Operation 4 — 24 achievements
33. Bah! Child's Play: Finish an Escape while wearing Paduk's character appearance. This is not a requirement to use Nomad specifically.
34. What's This Thing Doing Here?: Obtain a weapon from an Escape Fabricator. Load The Split on Beginner, take the right branch at the first fork, and continue to the long area with three staircases. Descend beneath a staircase to a Fabricator and take a weapon from its interface. Each has enough power for one weapon; if a teammate used it, try the next staircase. Exact route (https://t.co/zJdEcT6SMa)
35. Payload Delivered: Finish all six Operation 4 hives on Experienced or harder; see the six named hives below.
36. Let's Try That One Again, Shall We?: Wake in an Escape Medbay. In The Malfunction, activate the Medbay checkpoint, then allow the squad to fail so the restart occurs there. A normal safe-room restart is not the Medbay condition.
37. Year of the Scorpion: Extract from the Year One hive checklist below. Beginner is sufficient for this achievement; Master runs also serve Seriously Chapter 2. Check both recorded difficulty and completion time if a hive appears not to have synchronized.
38. Brothers in Arms: Finish twelve consecutive Horde Frenzy waves with Baird and Paduk in the squad. Start together at wave one and maintain those appearances through the finale.
39. Efficient Excellence: Win Horde Frenzy on Master. Bring a prepared class/card build and a balanced team; all twelve waves are the practical full-run approach.
40. Controlled Bursts: Win Horde Frenzy at any difficulty. This can stack with the previous achievement or the character/map Frenzy tasks.
41. Fresh Grubs: Complete a featured Operation 4 Horde map: Abyss, Overload or Rail Line. Do not substitute an ordinary Versus map merely released during the same Operation.
42. Now We Understand Each Other: Master all three of those featured maps. Track Abyss, Overload and Rail Line individually and verify the result after each run.
43. Make 'em Bleed: Accumulate thirty million Versus damage. Damage in Horde or Escape belongs to a different counter.
44. Absolute Carnage: Raise that Versus damage total to one hundred million. Work on kills and assists concurrently; simply playing campaign will not advance it.
45. Yep, I'd Say They're Dead: Accumulate 25,000 Versus kills. Some older translated lists say 20,000; that is not the current requirement.
46. Nothin' But Bits!: Reach 100,000 Versus kills. Custom bot matches are a documented grinding option; first confirm a small test match advances your counter before committing hours.
47. Eyes on Target: Accumulate 12,500 Versus assists. Damage opponents and let a teammate finish them; personally taking every kill works against this particular counter.
48. Covering Fire: Reach 50,000 Versus assists. Coordinate tagging targets with a partner while they finish, then exchange roles. Recheck progress after a completed session.
49. A War That Will Be Won: Re-up forty times. This is account progression, not forty character levels.
50. Illustrious: Reach level fifteen with ten PvE classes. The achievement's old “characters” wording predates class/appearance separation.
51. Decorated Soldier: Win Gridiron using an Operation 4 character; Paduk is a clear qualifying choice. Select him on the COG side before the match starts.
52. A Nice Present For You: Kill an opponent with a planted grenade in Gridiron. Plant a damaging grenade on a likely route and let the enemy trigger it; an ordinary thrown-grenade kill is different.
53. Protect This House: Kill the enemy flag carrier inside your own end zone to earn a Denial. Let the carrier enter the zone, but stop them before the touchdown completes.
54. Take a Look Around: Finish Versus matches on Reactor, Blood Drive and Checkout. Winning is not the stated condition, but stay through the results.
55. Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Master an Operation 4 hive and an Operation 4 Horde map. Use one of the six hives below and a qualifying map such as Reactor; do not confuse this one-map condition with all three featured Horde maps above.
56. A Challenger Emerges: Earn a Competitive playlist reward. Under the replacement system, the documented first reward threshold is 100,000 leaderboard points in one playlist during one season. Old Silver-rank/GP instructions are obsolete. Track that playlist's own reward meter, not lifetime combined points.

August 2020 update — eight achievements
57. Swift and Grimy: Complete sixty Horde Frenzy waves on Insane or harder. Five full twelve-wave runs supply sixty; this is cumulative, not a sixty-wave Frenzy match.
58. And Stay Down!: Accumulate 25,000 eliminations across Horde and Escape. Keep this separate from the Versus kill counter.
59. Rest in Pieces: Reach 100,000 Horde/Escape eliminations. Rotate the classes still needing XP rather than wasting all that progress on an already-maxed class.
60. Destruction: Deal sixty million damage in Horde/Escape. High-health enemies help, but surviving and finishing runs is more useful than repeatedly wiping for a few extra hits.
61. Total Devastation: Raise the combined PvE damage counter to two hundred million.
62. Cool Off, Baby!: Get 100 kills through Brawler's flame ability/cards in Horde or Escape. Equip an actual flame-producing Brawler build; generic Scorcher kills on another class are not a substitute.
63. I'm Rubber, You're Glue!: Kill 100 enemies with Gunner's Reflect in Horde/Escape. Activate it while facing shooters and let reflected fire do the killing; avoid ending every target with your own gun first.
64. You Better Run!: As Nomad, kill 100 enemies affected by Fear in Horde/Escape. Apply Fear, then finish them while that status remains active.
Campaign update — five achievements
65. Ironed Out: Complete every campaign chapter with Ironman enabled on Experienced or harder. Use a dedicated run, check the settings before starting and respect the save-loss risk. Do not assume turning Ironman on for the final chapter qualifies earlier chapters.
66. That's Inconceivable!: Finish every campaign chapter on Inconceivable. New Game+ with beneficial modifiers is a documented route; inspect each chapter's recorded difficulty afterward. This also supplies the campaign portion of Seriously Chapter 2.
67. Showin' a Little Skin: Complete a campaign chapter using a custom character skin. Set it through campaign customization before loading the chapter and finish through the save.
68. Just Showing it Off: Get ten kills with a custom-skinned weapon. Equip the skin first and use that actual weapon for the kills.
69. Batista Bomb: Complete every chapter of one act with Batista-as-Marcus enabled. Keep the option on for the entire act, not merely the scenes where Marcus speaks.
Requirement reference: campaign/update catalog (https://t.co/yYsza3nFrG).
Operation 5 — thirteen achievements
70. Class Act: Reach level five in one Assault, one Tank and one Support class. For example, level Infiltrator, Anchor and Mechanic; three classes from the same category do not satisfy it.
71. The Centaur Set: Max Anchor, Gunner, Pilot, Veteran and Brawler to level twenty. These are the five Tank classes; skins do not change which class is earning XP.
72. A Gear of Many Talents: Finish Versus on Regency, River, Nexus, Clocktower and Gridlock. Keep a separate check beside each map.
73. Exterminating the Hollow: Earn 100 eliminations on Nexus. Combine this with map completion and your long-term combat totals.
74. Places to Go, Monsters to Kill: Win a qualifying Ranked/Competitive match on each of those five maps. Custom matches do not replace this requirement; map availability in the actual playlist matters.
75. So There's the Hero: Obtain one Heroic skin. Check existing progression rewards and earnable Gear Coin options before spending real money; no purchase is necessary for this guide's plan.
76. Didn't Want to Look Too Civilized: Own twenty Epic character skins. Count the rarity label, not whichever costumes look elaborate; Legendary is a different label.
77. Ben Would Have Loved This Thing: Get one elimination with the Scorcher. Pick it up, keep the enemy within flame range and confirm the elimination.
78. Solid Gold: Beat the displayed Gold target time on a Featured Escape. Use the actual featured challenge, understand its scoring modifiers and finish below its Gold threshold; an arbitrary custom clear is not enough.
79. Such Carnage: Earn 2,000 Competitive points from eliminations within one match. The total match score can include other actions, so focus on the elimination contribution rather than assuming any 2,000-point scoreboard qualifies.
80. Break Them. Brutalize Them.: Earn 1,000 Competitive points from ring breaks within one match. Play a qualifying ring mode, break enemy control repeatedly and survive long enough to do it again. This is not a lifetime total and not simply capture points.
81. You've Got Character, Kid: Own fifty character skins. Different costumes count here, unlike the three-different-character achievement.
82. Gun Collector: Own 360 weapon skins. Count individual weapon/skin unlocks rather than assuming one themed set equals one or all 360; use earned cosmetics and Gear Coins, not an unnecessary paid shopping spree.
Sources: official Operation 5 additions (https://t.co/dWawo3BpFD), current ring-break wording (https://t.co/aw6OtDfsou). The original Operation announcement used the retired GP system; the current 2,000/1,000 requirements above replace its old 400/100 figures.
Operation 8 — sixteen achievements
83. Legendary Operator: Reach Legend 25 within one Operation/Tour period. Continue earning Tour stars after General; do not confuse Legend levels with account re-ups.
84. A Real Gear: Reach re-up fifty. This is also Seriously Chapter 2's account-XP requirement.
85. Re-Up Mastery: Reach re-up sixty. Completing Seriously Chapter 2 at fifty does not finish this last ten-re-up stretch.
86. Seriously 5.0 — Chapter 2: Combine fifty re-ups, every campaign chapter on Inconceivable, all nineteen classes at twenty, and Master clears of the required Escape/Horde maps. Use the full checklists below; this is not the nine-class/seven-map Chapter 1 checklist.
87. In Total Control: Win Control and/or King of the Hill on ten distinct maps. Ten wins on one map count as only one map; keep a written map checklist.
88. Event Planner: Win ten matches in the actual Versus Events playlist. Ordinary custom rules named like an event do not establish that they count. If no qualifying event is available, retain this as pending.
89. Back In Style: Win ten Execution matches. Work with the same squad and protect the last surviving teammate instead of feeding isolated fights.
90. Bernie is Back: Win five matches as Bernie on the COG side. Select her before joining and confirm your side/appearance each match.
91. Trusted Advisor: Win five matches as Vrol. Configure the Swarm character slot, not only your COG selection.
92. Grave Consequences: Win Versus on Tomb. A completed loss is insufficient.
93. Destroyed Beauty: Win Versus on Ephyra.
94. Last Rites: Win Versus on Ritual. These map wins can overlap the ten-map Control checklist if played in that mode.
95. Chamber of Horrors: Finish Horde Frenzy on Atrium. Use all twelve waves for the clean full completion.
96. Take Command: Finish Horde Frenzy on Command. Pick the Frenzy variant rather than assuming standard Horde completion satisfies it.
97. Breezing Through: Finish Horde Frenzy on Turbine. Combine with Insane-or-higher waves or a Master completion when your team is ready.
98. Total Annihilation: Accumulate four hundred million Horde/Escape damage. Campaign and Versus damage do not substitute. This naturally extends the sixty-million and two-hundred-million PvE milestones.
Sources: current Operation 8 list (https://t.co/d6PoTNiMrI), Operation 8 launch details (https://t.co/EWn54j8nlW). The announcement headline said seventeen; the final catalog has sixteen, so this guide counts the actual list rather than that headline.
Escape checklist — all 32 Year One hives
Operation 1, fourteen: The Hive; The Past Hive; The Gauntlet; The Mines; The Descent; Venom Run; The Hunters; The Surge; Forever; The Wanderer; The Labyrinth; The Clock; The Trap; Last Stand.
Operation 2, six: Ice Queen; The Link; The Detour; The Line; The Blight; The Warren.
Operation 3, six: The Barracks; The Choke; Lethal Engagements; Melee Brawl; The Corruption; The End.
Operation 4, six: The Malfunction; The Onslaught; The Gatekeepers; The Ambush; The Split; The Mist.
The list includes The Past Hive as a conservative extra check: player reports disagree whether its alternate version is independently required, especially for Seriously Chapter 2. Do not describe it as a conclusively mandatory thirty-second distinct map. For the Operation achievements use Experienced or above; for Year of the Scorpion any difficulty; for Seriously Chapter 2 Master. Be in the lobby from the start, stay through extraction and record the result. A safe room reached is not an escaped hive. Checklist source (https://t.co/IdeB34P8cA)
Seriously Chapter 2 — 19-class checklist
Assault: Blademaster, Demolitions, Infiltrator, Marksman, Nomad.
Tank: Anchor, Brawler, Gunner, Pilot, Veteran.
Support: Combat Medic, Jack, Mechanic, Robotics Expert, Tactician.
Promotional: Architect, Protector, Slugger, Striker.
All nineteen need level twenty, including the promotional four. Jack levels through Horde rather than Escape. Daily class-XP rewards help, but collecting useful skill cards along the way matters more than arriving at level twenty with an ineffective loadout. Class categories (https://t.co/jrrzfCVUxR), class/character separation (https://t.co/UcqdlkWzuv).
Seriously Chapter 2 — 35-map Horde checklist
Abyss; Allfathers Arena; Asylum; Atrium; Blood Drive; Bunker; Canals; Checkout; Clocktower; Command; Dam; District; Ephyra; Exhibit; Forge; Foundation; Gridlock; Harbor; Icebound; Lift; Mercy; Nexus; Overload; Pahanu; Rail Line; Reactor; Reclaimed; Regency; Ritual; River; Speyer; Tomb; Training Grounds; Turbine; Vasgar.
This is the 35-map set through Operation 8's first drop. Dawn and Village arrived afterward and are not part of that original 35. Current player tracking reports are inconsistent, so do not assume an apparent 99% means either later map is definitely the missing requirement. First audit all required map results, classes, re-ups and individual campaign chapters.
Horde strategy: establish a defensible base with limited approaches; assign one engineer to fortifications, keep ammunition circulating through lockers, and ensure the team can handle both bosses and small enemies. Do not let everyone spend power on competing fortification plans. For Master, agree on classes/cards before loading, protect the engineer and reposition when a boss invalidates the base.
Final-wave-only and Jingle Juvies shortcuts have been reported to award Master credit, but an in-game Master checkmark, highest-difficulty record and achievement tracker can disagree. A full run started from the lobby is the conservative method; verify credit after each map and restart the game to allow synchronization before deciding to replay. This guide does not promise a workaround fixes every stuck tracker.
