Gears of War 4 — base-game achievement guide Not posted. This one is a whole project, not something you're knocking out because you finished the story. I'm separating campaign, Horde and Versus so you can actually keep up with what you're doing instead of trying to track everything at once. Before committing to the grind: this is the Xbox One/Windows shared achievement set, including play on compatible Xbox Series consoles. The current specialist listing flags account-dependent public-match failures, PC secret-achievement issues and inconsistent squad unlocks. An account receiving Bigelowe / 0x80190190 may be unable to progress public-match requirements. That is not proof everyone's servers are down. Test matchmaking and one small relevant unlock first. No live account/server test was performed for this guide. Current achievement flags (https://t.co/d8XaASZX3a) Campaign story: 16 automatic milestones Play through the campaign; these are story checkpoints, not optional challenges. Spoilers below. Story milestone descriptions (https://t.co/Ti0ofiK0vv) 1. And We're Back — finish the Prologue and opening credits. 2. Raiding is what Outsiders Do — obtain Settlement 5's Fabricator. 3. When it Leads to War — survive the Outsider-village defense. 4. Welcome Home — escape the family home. 5. Jinn's Overreaction — beat the Vulture during the Track Mule sequence. 6. As If Snatchers Weren't Bad Enough — survive the tram-station Pouncers. 7. One Hell of an Exhibit — complete the museum defense. 8. Warriors, Kings….Wizards. — survive the King's chamber and leave the catacombs. 9. Looks Like an Elevator to Hell — descend into the mine. 10. You Smell Bad — recover Marcus from the Snatcher. 11. And You Said We Couldn't Fly — take the counterweight cable ride. 12. Still Not Ironic — restart the dam generators. 13. Broadcast This! — defeat the Speaker/Swarmak encounter. 14. Long Enough We'll Need This — hold the Speyer radio tower. 15. Betty's My Kind of Girl — reach the dam with the mechs. 16. Not Going to Stop Us, Right? — defeat the final Hive Boss. Finishing, collecting and playing together 17. Ready for More — clear every campaign Act, any difficulty. 18. Learned the Hard Way — clear every Act on Hardcore or Insane. 19. The Night is Dark and Full of Terrors — clear every Act on Insane. Stay in cover, concentrate fire with a partner and check the chapter-completion grid afterward. Insane is your target difficulty, not just the host's setting. 20. Collector — 5 collectibles. 21. Pack Rat — 10 collectibles. 22. Completist — all 50 collectibles. 23. Remember the Fallen — all 10 COG tags, included within those 50. Use the separate location guide rather than guessing which journal entry is missing. 24. Come And Knock on My Door — finish one full Act in co-op. 25. Brothers Till The End — finish every Act in co-op; joining only at each Act's ending is not the intended route. Campaign requirements (https://t.co/U7y8AK1Cbo), campaign checklist (https://t.co/vyX5yjvufc) 26. The Sound Of Silence — keep JD's own customized Lancer, received in Act II-2, through the end of V-2. Host as JD in co-op. Keep that gun in one slot and change the other slot. Continue the same campaign rather than jumping chapters; another character's customized Lancer is not a substitute. Detailed conditions (https://t.co/AUL6Tj9K0S) 27. But You Can't Pick Your Family — collect five weapons from the suspended slime weapon-pods. Shoot a pod, then actually pick up its weapon. 28. Gone With The Windflare — 15 environmental storm kills. In II-3, release the restrained hay by shooting its wooden barrier while enemies stand in the path; checkpoint replay can accumulate the count. Windflare method (https://t.co/6oR0cPnBhK) 29. Look out! Uh… Never Mind — crush 25 enemies with hanging pods. Shoot their supporting tendrils only when an enemy is underneath; bursting an empty pod achieves nothing. Pod conditions (https://t.co/U7y8AK1Cbo) 30. Killdozer — run over 15 enemies while operating the Loader. Use the vehicle's movement to crush them, rather than getting out and shooting. Requirement (https://t.co/NlsMLCYnDi) Combat clean-up 31. Zen and the Art of Reloading — 25 perfect active reloads. Fire a round, reload, then hit reload again in the narrow perfect window; these do not have to be consecutive. 32. Drop the Beat…down. — three Dropshot headshots. Hold the trigger to move the drill over the target, then release directly above its head. A nearby explosion is not a headshot. Dropshot requirement (https://t.co/qaRm6sbrqz) 33. Triple Play — kill three enemies with one Buzzkill projectile. Wait for a lined-up group instead of spraying separate blades. 34. I Live. I Die. I Live Again! — shoot a Snatcher that has swallowed a teammate until it releases them. 35. Stop Hitting Yourself — finish a Guardian with a weapon taken from a Guardian; retain its dropped heavy weapon for another Guardian. 36. Pounsus Interruptus — kill a Pouncer while it is airborne using a shotgun or chainsaw. Weaken it first, then time the finishing hit to its leap. Pouncer requirement (https://t.co/0ZSFGYUsvR) 37. Now That's a Knife! — ten knife finishes following a cover yank or vault kick. Use opposing sides of low cover, perform the yank/kick and take the execution prompt. 38. Whoomp, There It Is! — a teammate must yank the enemy over cover; you perform the knife finish. Your own yank does not satisfy this one. Combat requirement cross-check (https://t.co/NpjS13JHNw) Account progression, cards and currency These counters come from Horde/Versus, not campaign XP. Equip a relevant bounty before a match; spend earned in-game currency rather than buying anything with real money. Re-up is the manual reset after reaching level 100. Progression system (https://t.co/Vk2pEYSAiL) 39. Level 10 — player level 10. 40. Level 50 — player level 50. 41. Thank You, Sir. May I Have Another? — perform your first re-up. 42. Please Sir, Can I Have Some More? — perform re-up number ten. 43. It's a Start — earn 1,000 lifetime Credits. 44. Moving on up! — earn 10,000 lifetime Credits. 45. I'm Drumpf — earn 100,000 lifetime Credits. Spending earned Credits does not undo the lifetime total. 46. Bounty Hunter — complete 20 equipped bounties; keep replacing completed ones. 47. Craftsman — craft one card with Scrap. 48. Master Craftsman — craft a Legendary-rarity card. 49. I Have a Very Particular Set of Skills — upgrade one skill card to level 5. 50. Skills That Make Me a Nightmare — upgrade five skill cards to level 5. The later level-6 achievements are separate; upgrading class XP alone does not upgrade cards. Base progression requirements (https://t.co/KqJ1BXVT2p) Horde For full-run achievements, begin at wave 1 and keep the squad together through wave 50. Set the class/difficulty before starting, and record each completed map yourself. Public or private can have tracking trouble; a full five-person squad is the conservative approach, not a claimed hidden universal requirement. Tracking reports (https://t.co/EFha1uB4LN) 51. At First I Was Afraid, I Was Petrified — squad survives waves 1–10. 52. Bilford Bogin! — squad survives waves 1–50. 53. I've Killed Things, Seen Places — do that on all ten launch maps: Dam, Fallout, Forge, Foundation, Gridlock, Harbor, Impact, Lift, Reclaimed, Relic. Later variants do not replace the originals. 54. Classy Move — one Horde class to level 10. 55. Stay Classy — Soldier, Scout, Engineer, Heavy and Sniper each to level 10. 56. Gold Digger — spend 100,000 total Fabricator Power. 57. Sugar Daddy — personally deposit 1,000,000 lifetime Power. 58. Tea. Earl Grey. Hot. — raise the Fabricator to its maximum level within one session. The squad's purchases/building advance it. 59. Call a Dr. If Lasting More than 4 Teammates — four Fabricator resurrections in one session: recover fallen tags, bring them back and pay the resurrection cost. A normal downed-player revive is different. Horde requirements and class approach (https://t.co/0dfh7ttRoe) Each of the next five requires a full 50-wave squad run on Insane, using the named class: 60. Give a Name. Any Name. — Sniper. 61. I Have Approximate Knowledge of Many Things — Scout. 62. Oh What a Day! What a Lovely Day! — Soldier. 63. Job's Done — Engineer. 64. I Choose Violence — Heavy. Build around a protected Fabricator, concentrated firing lanes, an Engineer maintaining defenses and a Scout gathering/depositing Power. Snipers remove dangerous ranged targets; Soldiers and Heavies handle the damage. Do not start the hardest runs with unupgraded cards and assume character level will carry you. Class-run requirements (https://t.co/otDHQbuIyG) Versus and the long completion 65. Rollin' With the Homies — remain in a rolling lobby for five consecutive matches; a playlist returning you to the menu after each match does not provide the same bonus. Rolling-lobby method (https://t.co/274x5gqSC3) 66. Custom Made — win while using an unlocked non-starter character and a non-default weapon skin. Equip both before queueing. 67. Ranked and Filed — obtain placement in one Core and one Competitive mode; verify that your account can still access and register the relevant playlists before spending hours here. 68. Big Ol Hero — earn its Dodgeball last-player-standing victory ribbon ten times. 69. Say Hello to My Little Friend — personally make the final Arms Race winning kill. 70. How's it Going to Work? Teamwork! — win Co-op Versus on Casual. 71. Teamwork Makes the Dream Work! — win Co-op Versus on Normal. 72. Talent Gets Kills, Teamwork Wins Games! — win Co-op Versus on Hardcore. 73. To Go Fast, Go Alone. To Go Far, Go Together — win Co-op Versus on Insane. Complete each difficulty explicitly rather than assuming one win checks all four. Versus requirements (https://t.co/d8XaASZX3a) 74. Chest Candy — collect the required launch ribbons. The original list was 141; Ole!, Not Today and Smorgasbord were removed from the requirement, leaving 138. Do not chase those three just to finish this achievement. Check the War Journal and use the separate ribbon appendix. Public Versus is required for multiplayer ribbons; private Horde can award its own ribbons. Requirement change (https://t.co/DDOse6gg5G) 75. Seriously 4.0 — finish these seven components: Insane campaign; required ribbons; the rank-placement requirement; ten launch-map 1–50 Horde runs; ten re-ups; all five launch classes at level 10; five skill cards at level 5. Check actual component tracking, not just overall percentage. Account-dependent online faults can block this even when the campaign and Horde work.
