Mirage: getting into Valley of Memory and using the new tools
Valley of Memory happens before Mirage’s ending. The lead that sends Basim to AlUla concerns his missing father. It isn't a sequel taking place after everything in Baghdad.
On a normal run, the introduction appears around The Head of the Snake and reporting to the bureau. Look for the boy at Harbiyah, then follow the lead to Dervis. A finished save can start through the investigation board. There's also an option to start the expansion directly with a prepared Basim.
Engineer 2 lets you combine the first-tier tool improvements. The additional top-tier options give you explosive knives, smoke that removes corpses, armor-piercing darts, sleep-inducing noisemakers and traps that turn guards against one another.
That gives you more ways to solve a problem, but I'd choose around what you're trying to do. Loud damage isn't always useful when your next challenge requires staying unnoticed.
The replay challenges also have their own modifiers and rewards. Those modifiers belong in Animus Sequences or New Game+, rather than being a universal switch for the original playthrough.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory achievements
This is the update I went back for. If you're doing the achievement cleanup, there are eleven additions here. I'd separate the story, the world cleanup and the replay challenges so you're not trying to keep the whole thing in your head at once.
Story and exploration
- Make a Break: finish the prison escape.
- Give it the Slip: leave that prison without detection.
- Turn the Page: reach the farewell with Is’haq.
- Like a Local: finish AlUla’s territory objectives.
Collectibles
- Lost and Found: bring Hind every stolen item.
- Once Upon a Time: hear every folktale.
- Pro Musician: gather the complete Oud melody set.
Replay challenges
- If I Recall Correctly: replay one Animus Sequence.
- Perfect Memory: satisfy every challenge within one sequence.
- Playback: earn the entire sequence-reward set.
Combat
- Taste Your Own Medicine: inflict poison on a Poisoner.
Eleven-objective checklist (https://t.co/t4ScrmUQtv).
For the prison, I'd make a separate save before starting instead of relying on a late cleanup. For the replay objectives, start with a mission you already understand, read its conditions before entering, and work through the reward requirements deliberately. A successful mission and a successful challenge run aren't automatically the same thing.
