Valhalla — the treasure maps, without running in circles
Pick up the clue before looking for its reward. These are the 20 standard Norway/England hoards, plus the Treehouse Shoppe bonus. Ireland and later add-ons are separate. Each line gives you the map first, then the place to search.
Norway and the northern regions
- Rygjafylke: Kjotve’s Fortress, house beside the mill. Reward: Torghatten Rock’s tunnel, below its viewpoint in Hordafylke—not east of Alrekstad.
- Eurvicscire: Petuaria Ruins rooftop stool. Cross the river east; search the estate’s square courtyard pool.
- Snotinghamscire: Abandoned Library, northeast of Hemthorpe; break floorboards, then pots hiding a crawlspace. Reward: beside Minninglow’s well, west of Repton.
- Glowecestrescire: Sabrina’s Spring statue. Reward: Maen Ceti, beneath the lower stone circle’s slab; pull the movable block away.
- Hamtunscire: Fearnhamme Ruins basement; drop the suspended load through the floor. Reward: red-leaved tree beside a pond, southwest of Wincestre, north of Werham.
- Wincestre Seminary: Break the upper stained-glass window. Reward: small stone circle beyond the chalk horse’s tail, northern Hamtunscire.
- Wincestre Bishopric: Upstairs in the bishop’s residence, behind boards. Reward: rocks on the Isle of Wiht, southeast of its pond.

Four easy ones to keep together
- Grantebridgescire: Besuncen Tor’s statue holds the map. For the reward, go south of Grantebridge, east of its docks, and break into the well beside the house.
- Ledecestrescire: Venonis’s southern underground entrance leads to the map. Reward: the gap between two trees beside the rock formation north of Venonis.
- Oxenefordscire: Blast open Eatun Barn’s cave. Reward: the well between Readingum Abbey and Evinghou Tower, beside the small ruined building.
- Jorvik: The Minster, behind the movable shelves near the altar. Reward: the bowl held by the riverside statue on Jorvik’s southern edge.

The remaining English regions
- East Anglia: Edmund’s Hope: shoot down the church ladder for the key, then open the nearby chapel. Reward: statue circle southeast of Scotthoh Farm.
- Lunden: Despite its name, the map is in Hammeham’s well in Oxenefordscire. Search the ruins south of Saint Albanes Abbey for its reward.
- Sciropescire: Hill Gate Remnants, beneath the breakable tower floor. Reward: dive into the lake north of Caustow Castle.
- Lincolnscire: Whisby’s locked house; collect its key by the lake. Reward: climb the ruined tower at Skegi’s Beard on the eastern coast.

- Cent: Climb Dover Pharos for the map. Go west to the chalk serpent and search its head beside the rocks. Watch the actual snakes around the loot.

- Essexe: Sancta Helena’s Church in Colcestre: move the exterior shelf, break the window and get the key. Unlock the tower and lower its ladder. Reward: the flower circle beside three trees near the southern river ruins, west of Wulfaswic.

Suthsexe has four, not just one
- Monk’s Lair: Map inside the hut. Reward: beneath Chertsey Abbey’s oldest tree, beside the split memorial stone.
- Treehouse Shoppe: Buy the map during Tiny Black Market. Travel west of Brimclif, beyond the rock bridge; jump into the sea and dive for the reward.
- Witch’s House: Break the rear crawlspace boards and burn away the poison before entering. Reward: beneath the chalk giant’s right arm.
- Crawelie: Map inside Crawleah Warehouse. Reward: flower-covered island above the waterfall south of Crawleah.

I’d mark the clue and the reward separately. Otherwise you come back later, remember visiting the place, and still have no idea whether you actually finished the hunt.
Valhalla: clearing the map without making it harder than it needs to be
For the base-game completion achievement, the job is the Wealth, Mysteries and Artifacts in England, Norway, Vinland, Asgard and Jotunheim. The little ordinary material chests are a separate thing; don't confuse those with the region's Wealth counter. Completion scope discussion (https://t.co/RYaXgxM5Rr).
I'd handle it one territory at a time:
1. Finish that territory's story before declaring an inaccessible room broken.
2. Check each of the three counters separately. “The map looks empty” isn't a checklist.
3. Finish nearby events before fighting with a stubborn collectible. Some access depends on quests, particularly in Jotunheim. Completed markers leave a small black X. Quest-dependent access and markers (https://t.co/lbbLHjgfLL).
4. Keep one short note for anything you leave: territory, location, missing condition. Not a massive second map—just enough to stop repeating the same search.
5. Before leaving the whole game behind, use the Atlas and check the other maps. Finishing England alone isn't finishing that achievement.
The dedicated guides cover the Codex pages, anomalies, hoards, Tombs of the Fallen and special gear separately. This is the cleanup order around those guides, not a claim that every locked door has the same solution.
