Valhalla: the skills I'd look at first practical base-game picks, not every node. Valhalla's skill tree looks like a lot because it is a lot. But you don't need to study the whole thing before spending a point. Pick a few moves that solve the problems you're actually having. Brush With Death rewards a last-second dodge by slowing the action around you. If you're comfortable dodging, that opening is worth having. Advanced Assassination gives you a timing challenge against stronger assassination targets. It's useful for keeping a stealth approach going instead of assuming every powerful guard has to become a full fight. Heavy Dual Wield opens up combinations with two-handed weapons. I'd treat it as a way to experiment, not a requirement that everybody abandon their current weapon. Perfect Attack rewards the timing of successive swings. If you prefer direct combat, learning a rhythm is more useful than mashing the attack button and hoping for the best. You can refund skill points without spending resources, so trying a different route through the tree isn't a permanent mistake. Skill functions and reset reference (https://t.co/OxoJyKDvnZ). Two more I'd keep an eye on are Stomp and Missile Reversal. Stomp gives you a strong follow-up against an enemy already on the ground. Missile Reversal lets you send an incoming projectile back where it came from. Those are useful options for different problems: one punishes a knockdown, the other turns a ranged attack back on its owner. Developer's explanation of those two mechanics (https://t.co/mK75PmMAfI). My approach would be to pick something that supports stealth, something that helps when the fight starts, and then work toward the weapon setup you actually enjoy. You don't have to turn a game into homework just because the skill tree takes up half the screen. Valhalla: the DLC gear achievements that need more than a checklist Ireland: Dublin Champion and the two sickles Three Dublin Champion pieces come from Renown with Azar: bracers at level two, cloak at four, helmet at five. The other two aren’t shop rewards: defeat the Drengr at Downpatrick Head in Connacht for the breeches, and the one at Giant’s Causeway in Ulster for the chest armor. Finish the post-fight interaction as well. Game8’s complete set (https://t.co/TuU5qzmoDR), GameRevolution’s fight/claim notes (https://t.co/8oFTSqvPY3). For Double Trouble, take the Ceremonial Sickle from Lackanscaul’s gear chest in southwestern Connacht. The Bone Sickle comes from beating the Black Stout at Black Pig’s Dyke. Put one in each hand. They need to be equipped together, not just sitting in your inventory. Sickle locations (https://t.co/OZ3oS2ckXp). Paris: Reaper armor and a scythe Keep completing Pierre’s Rebel Missions until Infamy four. Buy the pants for 400, helmet for 450, cloak for 450 and torso for 750 deniers. The bracers are the level-three reward. That’s 2,050 deniers for the four purchased pieces; don’t spend the whole lot elsewhere first. Reaper costs and unlocks (https://t.co/EximXycOBL). For a scythe, go to Pontem Esera in Amienois. Use Odin’s Sight to identify the nearby key-carrying enemy, take the key and open the locked building’s wealth chest for the Bloodied Scythe. Wear all five Reaper pieces and get a scythe kill for Vendange. Scythe route (https://t.co/2ANYpejfVa). Ragnarök: turn Hreidmar’s cursed set into the blessed version Collect the full set inside Hodda Shelter, west of Eitri in Vangrinn. Don’t immediately wear the cursed pieces into a fight: they drain your health. You need a Motsognir’s Clarity rune in each piece to remove the curse. Armor and purification (https://t.co/KqD4Br7rZH). There are five Jotun Blight areas to clear: one in Gullnamar, three in Svaladal, one in Vangrinn. After breaking a skull, follow its trail with Odin’s Sight; destroying the first one doesn’t finish the whole area. Loot the rune after the final skull, then socket all five armor pieces. Blight-clearing method (https://t.co/keTPIUB6aO), regional distribution (https://t.co/cibx0fAH52). The important distinction here is collecting versus equipping. Getting the runes isn’t the final step. Put them into the armor and check that every piece has changed from cursed to blessed. Where to start each of the five blights - Gullnamar: north of Grenhellir Shelter, around the four enormous dwarf statues. Look between the rocky ridges for the first skull. - Southern Svaladal: southwest of Dimm Mylna, east of Eitri’s viewpoint. - Southeastern Svaladal: the cave along the Vindkleif river between Stor Mylna and Horfinn Nama. The nearby fallen enemy supplies the Power of Jotunheim. - Northern Svaladal: the frozen lake northwest of Gnafandi Keep and southeast of Gullthorp. - Vangrinn: the swamp north of Hodda Shelter. Start with the skull on the rock, then follow the trail rather than searching the whole swamp at random. Those are the five starting points, not five isolated skulls. Each starts its own short chase. Five blight locations (https://t.co/r97wJtBAfa). Ragnarök: the power upgrades and awkward achievement conditions Hugr Incarnate Upgrading the five powers isn't the whole job. Buy both upgrades for each power, the second Hugr bar and all four Versatility upgrades. The total shopping list is 60 Silica; 40 each of Giant Feather, Magma Blood, Living Spark, Jotun Seidr and Frozen Blood; and nine Embers of Muspelheim. The Versatility chain connects to The Ballad of Kraka and Skavi in eastern Svaladal. Complete that event, then collect the remaining Embers from the floating monoliths: four in Gullnamar, two in Svaladal and three in Vangrinn. The four purchases cost one, two, three and three Embers. Don't stop after buying just the first bonus. Upgrade requirements and event (https://t.co/Pw9ZCSoblp). Silica comes from Mylna raids. For the other materials, hunt giant ravens for feathers, Muspels for Magma Blood and Living Spark, and Jotnar for Jotun Seidr and Frozen Blood. Raven Endurance makes the flights far less awkward. Hugr Reaver gives you a second energy bar. Those are useful early purchases, not upgrades I'd leave until the very end. Materials and power upgrades (https://t.co/TWXZzbK4Sy). See No Evil Have Power of Jotunheim and Power of the Raven equipped. Buy Jotunheim Assassin and the second Hugr bar. Fill both bars, then choose two separated guards in a restricted area; the area east of Eitri's viewpoint is one option. Activate Jotunheim, aim at the first guard and use the teleport-assassination prompt. Do the second without being spotted, then immediately become a raven and leave. A normal bow kill doesn't count. This is a specific two-assassination-and-escape sequence, not two unrelated kills somewhere in the campaign. Setup and suggested area (https://t.co/6yIfjgACa5). Expert Storyteller Collect Heroic Sagas to unlock more Boasts, then visit Kára and choose a tale where you can select the modifiers. Kára's own selected tale doesn't let you change them. Pick four Boasts and finish the fight with all four active. Choose a manageable fight; there's no benefit to making the first attempt miserable. Arena selection and conditions (https://t.co/JxG2uvKUcc). For Flying Fortress, upgrade Raven Endurance and launch from a nearby high point rather than wasting the flight climbing from ground level. Reach a floating monolith and take its Ember while you're there. That visit can also move the full-upgrade task forward. Monolith approach (https://t.co/9LTB8GmPeP).
