Chronicles China: scroll chest location checklist All 18 scroll-chest locators cross-checked in independent gameplay text. This is not the Animus-shard guide or a complete combat walkthrough. The scroll chests are a separate list from the Animus shards. Keep them separate when you're checking what you missed. There are two chests each in Memories 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9, then four in Memory 11. That's 18 altogether. Memory 2: The Return 1. Crossbow tutorial room: the chest is below the passage you crawl through, beside the crossbow guard. 2. After leaving the cave, climb to the highest platform of the final layered area. Two guards patrol beside it. Memory 3: The Port 3. Early ship section: get behind the bamboo curtain near the talking guards, then work left to the lower chest ledge. 4. After the third informant's ship, leap into the hay. Before turning the wheel, jump left to the ladder and climb. Memory 4: The Slaver 5. Near the beginning, check left before climbing the fortress wall. 6. After the viewpoint jump, pass the guards and descend instead of taking the upward ladder. Chest right, first prisoner left. Memory 6: The Search 7. Beyond the crowd-blending gate, drop down and go left beneath the guarded entrance. 8. Near the river exit, turn left. Cut the overhead rope to reach the chest beside the fifth candle. Memory 7: The Snake 9. In the windowed-building section, climb into the upper crawlspace. Cross left above the talking guards to the chest platform. 10. After leaving that room and climbing its exit ladder, climb the nearby tower all the way up. Chest beside the leap-of-faith ledge. Memory 8: Hunted 11. After the first viewpoint jump, leave the hay to the left. The chest is behind the guard on that side. 12. After the explosive tower, pass the Seeker and climb onto the bridge's upper section. Search between the two guards, above the lower hiding place. Memory 9: Old Friend 13. After the first encounter with the Master enemy, descend beneath the building's floor before cutting the rope that drops the crossing beam. 14. On the approach to the Empress's tower, crawl left under the scaffolding. Collect this before cutting the rope: the lowered climbing section blocks the opening. Memory 11: The Betrayal 15. Early on, take the right-hand detour to the first Mongolian scout and the other guard. The chest is beside them. 16. In the tower room containing another Mongolian scout, reach the upper floor and the right-hand window. The chest is inside. 17. Later, climb the guarded structure's upper ceiling holds to its highest platform. The chest is at the top, near an Animus shard. 18. From that platform, continue right into the next building through its window. Drop down inside for the final chest.
