Liberation: choosing Aveline's persona Liberation gives Aveline three different ways to handle a job. Pick the outfit for what you need to do, and think about how you're getting back out afterward. Assassin: The straightforward choice for fighting and climbing. She has the broadest equipment options, but also draws attention more easily and never loses all her notoriety. Bribe magistrates to reduce the extra attention. Lady: Useful for getting close without immediately looking like a threat. She can charm certain people and bribe guards. The trade-off is movement: she cannot freely run and climb like the other personas. Don't plan a rooftop escape in the dress. Eliminate designated witnesses to reduce her notoriety. Slave: Useful when the route needs climbing and blending with workers. Carrying a crate helps her look like she belongs at work. Her equipment is more limited than the Assassin's. Wanted posters reduce this persona's notoriety. Each persona has its own side jobs. Check the required outfit before setting off. Changing rooms let you switch when the mission permits it. For the persona collectibles, use Lady for stones, Assassin for coins, and Slave for dolls. There are ten in each set. Getting to the right place in the wrong outfit still leaves you with another trip to make. --- Liberation: tools to use alongside the personas Once you've picked the right persona, make sure the tools fit the job too. Chain Kill: Save a charged meter for a group you actually need to remove. The Assassin persona can mark several reachable targets and carry out the sequence. Check your targets before confirming. This isn't the move to use while chasing the Machete achievement, which specifically excludes it. Blowpipe: Ordinary poison is useful for removing a target from a distance. Berserk poison turns a guard against the people around him. For a group, hit a tougher enemy who has a chance of surviving the fight instead of the weakest soldier in the crowd. Parasol Gun: This gives the Lady a ranged option after it unlocks. Keep it supplied rather than treating her limited equipment as a reason to avoid her completely. The umbrella kill achievement needs kills with that weapon. Whip: Look for height. A guard below a beam or gallows gives you the setup for a predator move. Don't confuse that hanging move with an ordinary close-range whip attack. Money and changing rooms: Keep buying the rooms you need for changing persona. For the expensive collection goals, build the trading fleet rather than spending every reward as soon as it arrives. The fleet cap and the pocket-watch set are different purchases. Mission constraints: Some jobs decide the persona for you. Read the optional conditions before starting a fight, particularly if the mission expects stealth or a particular action. Solve the job with that persona's tools instead of expecting every outfit to play the same way.
