ACIII: getting more out of Connor Connor's combat is one of the things I love about this game. There is quite a bit you can do once you stop trying to solve every fight with the same attack. Counters and tools: Counter first, then choose the follow-up. A tool counter needs ammunition. Heavy axes and clubs can prevent that move, so try a lighter primary weapon and a stocked bow against tougher regular soldiers. Rope darts: Use a branch for a hanging attack, or pull an enemy down from ground level. Height changes what you can do with the same tool. Recruits: Send them on contracts they can handle. Check the success chance, and add another recruit if the odds are poor. Experience improves them. An assignment also takes them away from Connor until they return, so don't send everyone off just before you need help. Tyranny powers: These are separate from the normal campaign. Wolf Cloak is for stealth, Eagle Flight for movement, and Bear Might for clearing groups. Their achievements count the specific power, so ordinary kills won't replace Bear Might kills.
