Assassin’s Creed Revelations — useful upgrades without overcomplicating it Revelations gives Ezio more tools, but it still isn’t a giant skill-tree game. I’d get comfortable with the hookblade, learn a few bombs properly and keep the recruits moving. The hookblade changes how you cross the city. Use its extra reach on jumps, ride the ziplines and learn the hook-and-run instead of stopping to fight every guard. Those opening lessons are worth paying attention to. Use Eagle Sense when you’re checking an approach. It can show a target’s trail and help you identify what you’re looking for. Looking first is usually easier than charging in and sorting it out afterward. For bombs, start with a few clear jobs: smoke for cover, cherry bombs for distractions, caltrops for slowing a pursuit and Datura for poison. The casing determines how a bomb triggers, powder affects its reach, and the third ingredient supplies the effect. Learn the effect before throwing something unfamiliar into a crowded street. Do Piri Reis’s eight lessons. Start them from the paintings in his Grand Bazaar office. They demonstrate the different bomb types and open ingredients for purchase. That is more useful than guessing what every combination does. Keep your recruits on contracts they can manage. Assign a level-10 recruit to a den and finish the first Master Assassin mission. Build them up for the second part and finish that too. Once both parts are done, that den is protected from further Templar attacks. You need seven fully trained Master Assassins for The Mentor, including the story’s introduction to the system. Watch your awareness between jobs. Bribe heralds when needed instead of letting every little trip across town become another problem. My spending priorities would be ammunition, medicine, equipment I actually use and businesses that help cover the next purchases. Keep the expensive books in mind if you’re finishing the collection. And check that you have a parachute before climbing somewhere to attempt a parachute achievement. That’s an annoying trip to make twice.
