Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery — what to collect and how the upgrades work Discovery has a different setup from the big console games. Wanted posters improve your health. Renaissance maps unlock challenges. Hidden art rooms are another extra. The little memory markers help you navigate, while knives are ammunition—not another permanent collection you need to count. For the ten challenge maps, the numbers below mean memory block and mission. Keep this beside the mission-select screen: 1. 3-2: catacombs, alcove below the climb after the raised-ramp jump. 2. 4-2: bottom-left waterfall, beneath the large guard. 3. 4-3: right to second stepped platform; left, up, down-left, left, up, left, down, left, up, right. 4. 5-3: after three poles, go left; roll underneath, descend, land right. 5. 6-1: climb the inner tower before the third lever. 6. 6-3: after the guard-discovery scene, clear three guards; enter their room left. 7. 7-1: climb right wall, turn left; drop from second wooden platform. 8. 7-3: descend after the second long jump; follow ground right. 9. 8-2: rooftop route, past two poles and fire archers; second consecutive long jump, gargoyle. 10. 8-4: after fourth switch, climb the second low wall; left archer platform. Those are challenge-map directions, not a claim that every wanted poster or art room is listed here. The basic abilities arrive as you progress: ledge kills in block 3, knives in block 4, arrow blocking in block 5. You aren’t choosing these from a modern skill tree. There’s also a separate Animus Hacks system. Earn synchronization points from mission performance and spend them on modifiers. Only one can be active at a time. I’d learn the normal route before adding a modifier, so you know whether the problem is the route, the timing or the way you’re approaching the guards. For poster cleanup, explore separately from your best-score attempt. Check the lower paths as well as the rooftops. A fast route that skips half the level isn’t necessarily the route that collects everything. Use the mission’s own objectives when you come back for synchronization.
