Assassin’s Creed II: the tombs and villa statuettes These are the main routes and the places where it helps to know what you’re looking for. The six seals unlock Altaïr’s armor beneath Villa Auditore. Novella is part of the story; the other five tombs are optional. Bring every seal back to the sanctuary. 1. Novella’s Secret, Florence Pull the entrance lever and climb to the switches. In the guarded chamber, use the ruined towers and suspended coffin to reach the next lever. Chase the lookout, climbing around his gates. Clear the final encounter, climb the scaffolding and follow the corridor to the meeting. Collect the seal and exit. 2. Il Duomo’s Secret, Florence Inside Santa Maria del Fiore, climb the small seat and wall holds. Cross the chandeliers and wooden platforms; falling ladders provide shortcuts back up. Circle the pillars, then use the stained-glass window holds to climb higher. Follow the upper boards around the interior. At the last apparent dead end, climb the exposed brickwork and jump toward the central platform. Collect the seal and open the exit window. 3. Torre Grossa’s Secret, San Gimignano Use the ground-level alley entrance. Climb to the first lever, then cross the guarded cellar using the southwest platform. Chandeliers and ledges lead to the library. Climb the bookcases, reach the upper railing and cross the chandeliers toward the tower. Inside, keep climbing the wall rings and wooden platforms. At the apparent dead end, look above-right for the next ring. Follow the final beams into the burial chamber. 4. Ravaldino’s Secret, Forlì Reach the fortress entrance from the water. Inside, climb from the flooded room to the lever and hurry through its timed gate. Dive beneath the next obstruction, then climb the shaft and deal with the guards. Barrels, shelves and shield-shaped holds lead upward. Cross the timed bridges, then use the wooden screen near the horses to reach the next passage. At the final lever, follow the broken wall, arch, beams and high ledge; jump backward and swing into the doorway before it closes. 5. San Marco’s Secret, Venice Inside the basilica, activate the tomb to reveal four timed routes. Each ends at a hanging lever: - East: climb beside the tomb, cross above its canopy and follow the balcony toward the organ. Climb it and jump backward to the lever. - South: use the cage, ledges and columns, cross the suspended crosses, then climb the stained-glass window. Jump backward from just above its center. - West: climb the screen and columns, drop onto the beam, then climb the cross-shaped window and swing to the lever. - North: climb the fence and columns to the platform above the door. Traverse the wall holds, reach the balcony, climb above the crates and jump backward toward the bar. Collect the seal once all four finish. 6. Visitazione’s Secret, Venice Drop into the hay, deal with the guard and chase the lookout. Climb around his closed gates. If he reaches reinforcements, clear them and continue. Activate the final mechanism and follow the timed circuit, pulling all four levers before entering the burial chamber. At the final circuit: wall-run and jump right to lever one. Climb the steps, jump left from the next wall, cross the bar and wall-jump right to lever two. Broken rock steps lead to three. Swing onward, wall-jump left, cross the ruined stairs and poles, then reach four. Eight Monteriggioni statuettes 1. Mars: wall beside the left staircase up to the villa. 2. Venus: wall beyond the barrier at the villa grounds’ southwest corner. 3. Pluto: alcove beside the right staircase up to the villa. 4. Neptune: garden wall one block east of the town center. 5. Jupiter: below the eastern edge of the church roof. 6. Minerva: house wall above a low roof southwest of Jupiter. 7. Diana: above the arch northwest of the main town gate. 8. Apollo: high wall west of Diana, near the western town wall. Reunite each pair on its pedestal around the villa grounds for 2,000 florins.
