2/8 — The other early releases and story additions
The original run also had quite a few smaller games:
• Assassin’s Creed Mobile — 2007. Gameloft’s mobile adaptation of Altaïr’s adventure.
• Assassin’s Creed II Mobile — 2009. A separate mobile version of Ezio’s story.
• Assassin’s Creed II: Multiplayer — March 1, 2010. A competitive iPhone game rather than another story sequel.
• Project Legacy — September 30, 2010. A Facebook RPG about historical memories, with connections to Brotherhood.
• Brotherhood Mobile — 2010. A mobile action-platforming adaptation.
• Multiplayer Rearmed — October 2011. Another mobile multiplayer experiment.
• Revelations Mobile — 2011. Gameloft’s version of that setting and adventure.
• Recollection — December 1, 2011. An iPad strategy/card game built around the series’ characters and locations.
The major story additions fit beside their original games:
• ACII: Battle of Forlì — January 28, 2010. Ezio helps defend Forlì.
• ACII: Bonfire of the Vanities — February 18, 2010. Ezio confronts Savonarola in Florence. These two releases restore the missing memory sequences from the original console version.
• Brotherhood: Copernicus Conspiracy — November 16, 2010. Originally a free PS3 mission pack involving the astronomer.
• Brotherhood: The Da Vinci Disappearance — March 8, 2011. Ezio searches for Leonardo after his disappearance.
• Revelations: The Lost Archive — February 28, 2012. A closer look at Subject 16 and Lucy through first-person puzzle sequences. It arrived the following year, but belongs with Revelations.
There were multiplayer packs too. Revelations received the Ancestors Character Pack on December 13, 2011, and the Mediterranean Traveler Map Pack on January 24, 2012. I’m concentrating on the games and substantial story additions here rather than listing every cosmetic or preorder bonus.
