And then there's Cheshire back as a cat.

And then there's Cheshire back as a cat. Earlier in this stretch, he notices his desire to hunt weakening after spending too much time away from Wonderland. He also tells us he originally came from Earth, and Wonderland is where he became Cheshire. So where he is and what he becomes have been connected throughout this part of the story. Now I'm looking at him as a cat again, trying to work out how much of the Cheshire we've followed is still there. Does he remember everything? Does he understand Calie and Violet the same way? How much has changed beyond his appearance? We've spent all this time with a character who can tell us about his instincts, his past, and his choices. He's built relationships. He's chosen loyalties. Looking at that cat, I want to know what happened to all of that. I don't get a full answer just from seeing the form he's in. That's what leaves me with questions. We've followed him becoming someone different through his choices, and now there's this physical change to understand too. I want to know how those two things fit together.
