The biggest class changes across Mass Effect are worth remembering when you plan a run.
ME1 rewards combining several separately recharging powers. ME2 asks you to work around protection types, restricted weapons, and shared cooldowns. ME3 opens the weapons up and makes weight and combos central. Andromeda lets you build across skill trees and switch profiles instead of committing to one class.
An ME1 Vanguard has no Charge. An ME1 Infiltrator has no Cloak. Sentinel's defenses change substantially between games. Adept's control has different limitations in each one. Even Soldier becomes more than the same gun-focused choice repeated four times.
Pick the version of the class that sounds enjoyable in the game you are actually playing. And in Andromeda, build the skills you want first, then choose the profile whose bonuses help those skills work together.
