Andromeda trophy guide, continued: combat, upgrades, viability and the online alternatives.
SP = single-player campaign. SP/MP = either campaign or multiplayer, with progress available across both modes.
COMBAT COUNTERS
• Fireworks [SP/MP]: trigger 100 power combos. Use a primer, then a detonator on that target; Pull followed by Throw is an easy pairing. Check the power descriptions because some upgrades change what a power does.
• Terminator [SP/MP]: reach 2,000 enemy kills. Keep clearing encounters while working on the more specific counters.
• Death from Above [SP]: get 100 kills while hovering. Jump and aim to hover, then finish the enemy before landing. You can weaken them on the ground first.
• Close Combat Specialist [SP/MP]: finish 100 enemies with melee attacks. The killing blow must be melee, not just one hit during the fight.
• With Our Powers Combined [SP]: personally detonate 10 targets primed by a squadmate. Peebee's Pull makes an obvious setup: wait for her lift, then use a detonator such as Lance.
• Pinpoint Shot [SP]: land 250 weak-point HITS while looking through a scope. These don't need to be kills. Use a scoped assault rifle or sniper on humanoid heads, Remnant weak spots or exposed Architect conduits.
• Medic! [SP/MP]: revive downed teammates 25 times. Squadmates count in the campaign; human teammates count in multiplayer.
• Mastermind [SP/MP]: let your constructs get 100 killing blows. Use Assault Turret or, in the campaign, Remnant VI. Weaken targets first so your construct can finish them.
• Trapshooter [SP]: hit 25 floating enemies with Concussive Shot, Lance or Incinerate. Lift unprotected enemies with Pull or Singularity, then use one of those three powers.
• Sucker Punch [SP]: melee-hit floating enemies 25 times. Pull an unprotected enemy close, then hit them before the lift ends. Use the Omni-Blade if another melee weapon isn't registering.
• Fastball [SP]: hit one enemy with another thrown enemy 25 times. HOLD Pull to bring an unprotected enemy beside you, aim at a nearby second enemy and use Throw. Merely throwing enemies into scenery doesn't count.
ONE-OFF COMBAT TROPHIES
• Icebreaker [SP]: freeze an unshielded, unarmored enemy with Cryo Beam, then KILL them with a jumping melee attack while they're frozen. Leave enough health for the freeze to work, but not enough to survive the slam.
• Rough Landing [SP]: place a Trip Mine, hold Pull on an unprotected enemy, then Throw that enemy into the mine to detonate it. Equip all three powers first.
• Pyrotechnics Expert [SP]: ignite three enemies in one uninterrupted Flamethrower use. Find a close group with red health bars, then sweep the flame across all three without releasing it. They need to burn, not simply take damage.
• Vanguard Surprise [SP]: activate Tactical Cloak, then land Charge on an enemy before the cloak expires. No particular profile is required; you need those two powers equipped.
MOVEMENT
• Long-Distance Jump [SP]: cover at least 30 metres in one jump as Ryder. Sprint off a high ledge, hold jump and air-dash forward. Eos has plenty of suitable cliffs. This isn't a Nomad jump.
• Hang Time: keep the Nomad airborne for 35 continuous seconds. Use H-047C's low gravity: jump into a deep canyon at speed, tilt the nose up and alternate boost with the jump thrusters as they recharge. Boost/thrust upgrades help.
LEVELS, PROFILES AND CRAFTING
• Almost There: reach Ryder level 25, OR multiplayer character level 15.
• Peak Condition: reach Ryder level 40, OR multiplayer character level 20.
• Kitted Out: kill an enemy with a rank V weapon in the campaign, OR equip a rank X weapon in multiplayer. For the campaign route, research/develop a rank V gun once you're level 30, equip it and use it for a kill.
• Jack Of All Trades: actually equip three different profiles in the Profiles menu. Unlocking them without selecting them isn't the requirement.
• Full Power [SP]: upgrade one Combat power, one Tech power and one Biotic power to rank 6. That's three maxed powers, one from each tree; it isn't the same as profile rank.
• High Performance: reach rank 6 in all seven campaign profiles, OR earn a level 6 multiplayer bonus stat. For the campaign route, have at least 234 usable skill points, then respec in the Tempest med bay and unlock/equip each rank-6 profile in turn. They do NOT need to stay maxed simultaneously. Soldier/Engineer/Adept need 232 points in their respective tree; Sentinel/Vanguard/Infiltrator need 116 in each of their two trees; Explorer needs 78 in all three. Unlock Remnant VI so the Tech tree has enough capacity. Budget credits for the repeated respecs.
• Craftsmanship: develop a gun or armor piece with THREE augmentations inserted during crafting. Pick a blueprint with enough augmentation slots. Regular weapon mods added afterward aren't augmentations.
• Data Mining: scan 100 different objects with your scanner. Repeatedly scanning one object isn't the goal.
PLANET VIABILITY
• Terraformer: bring one planet to 100% viability.
• All Clear: bring Eos, Voeld, Havarl, Kadara and Elaaden to 100% viability. Activate their vaults, deploy forward stations, complete viability-awarding planetary quests and establish outposts where available. Architect quests can help, but you don't have to finish every minor task or make the entire game's completion percentage say 100%.
On Elaaden, returning the drive core to the krogan is the simple cleanup-friendly choice: it keeps the outpost and its associated opportunities available. Keeping it doesn't automatically make 100% viability impossible, but it closes that route and the local Architect quest. Havarl doesn't have a normal Initiative outpost or an Architect.
DIFFICULTY, APEX AND STRIKE TEAMS
• Unwavering: finish the campaign on Insanity, OR successfully extract from FIVE Gold multiplayer matches on any firebase. Gold is the specified tier; don't confuse this with a requirement to play Platinum. For the campaign route, select Insanity at the start and leave it there until completion. NG+ counts. If your finished save was on a lower difficulty, switching it to Insanity now won't retroactively qualify.
• APEX: from the multiplayer menu, launch and finish the tutorial mission. This is separate from sending a Strike Team on an assignment. You can play the tutorial alone.
• Explorer: complete five successful Strike Team missions and/or APEX multiplayer extractions in total.
• Veteran: raise that combined successful mission/extraction total to 25. Failed Strike Team missions don't add a success.
• Teamwork: recruit six Strike Teams in total, OR earn 25 multiplayer ASSIST MEDALS. The initial team counts, so normally you're buying five more. Medals aren't the same as 25 individual assists; work toward the assist medal thresholds during matches.
• Top Talent: get one Strike Team to level 20. This means the dispatched team, not Ryder and not your multiplayer character. Keep sending the same team on missions and debriefing it in-game. Failed missions still award team XP, even though they don't help Veteran's success count.
• Andromeda's Finest [PlayStation only]: unlock all the other 55 trophies.
CLEANUP WITHOUT WASTING A NEW RUN
Check Skills → Accomplishments for the counters the game exposes. Keep fighting new encounters and save your progress; don't assume repeatedly reloading one checkpoint will preserve every counter on every platform.
Use postgame free roam for remaining viability, crafting, levels, combat and unfinished side/loyalty quests. An older save is the better first check for missed romance steps, a closed puzzle area or a dead Architect. Only start a new run when your actual missing trophies require it.
Andromeda has reported tracking bugs. Keep your saves, make sure the game is connected before online-dependent milestones, and claim Strike Team results in-game. If something should have unlocked, verify its exact condition before deleting data or committing to a full replay.
