Sam’s Story
Story/ending spoilers below.
There are eight here. Set Normal before launching if you want Untouchable, and keep it there. Areas close behind you as the story moves on, and there is no post-ending free roam. The safest plan is to track the Captain's trust, eight stashes, nine music sheets and weapon parts together.
The Last Hero — Finish Sam's Story. Either ending satisfies the ordinary completion requirement.
Cinephile — After Tom gives you the boat, visit the cinema while searching for the Captain. Clear the building, go to the upstairs projector and remove the current film. Search the nearby film-storage room for the one marked with an American flag, then bring it back and start the projector with that film.
Trapper — After the drinking sequence, arm all five traps in the Captain's building before leaving on the zipline. Each needs a Molotov. Use the workbench if you are short. Follow the white numbers and floor crosses as you work down through the building. Check that you have done 1–5 before leaving; this also helps the Captain-trust route.
Untouchable — Finish the DLC on Normal or higher without dying in any of its three Batwing fights. This is not a no-damage or whole-DLC no-death trophy. Medkits are allowed. Go into each fight stocked up, shoot the Batwing when it exposes itself, and use cover against the swarm. In the scrapyard, move away from the car piles when they start collapsing. You can reload before dying if the attempt is going badly; reloading after a Batwing death does not reliably undo the failure. The unlock comes at the DLC's ending, not immediately after the third fight.
A Man of Principle — Finish with the Captain's full trust. I would take the complete cautious route instead of gambling on how many actions you can skip:
- Lower your weapon when he asks at the first meeting.
- Help him shift the obstacle after the mutant attack.
- Spare the bandit sniper when the choice appears.
- Share your food with him in the hideout.
- Set all five traps before leaving his building.
- Investigate his missing crew at the water-tower site in the foggy area. Follow the trail, listen to all three recordings and let Sam finish reporting what he found.
- At the ending, choose the detonator rather than the American-flag option.
The white flashes mark positive actions. This is a whole-run objective, not something the final choice alone can fix. Some reports say detonation is not strictly required once full trust is earned; the route above deliberately avoids relying on that exception.
Great Owl — Enter all eight Night Hunter stashes. The painted Night Hunter symbol points to hidden access, not necessarily an obvious door. Open the rooms and go inside; seeing the symbol from outside isn't enough. Loot the weapons while you are there because those rooms overlap heavily with Lord of War. Use the chronological stash map before each one-way story transition.
Music Lover — Collect the nine harmonica music sheets, the small papers with musical notation. These are not Sam's lore diaries. Check the collectible menu and use a numbered route as you move across the map. Already found sheets carry across replays, but recovering a late miss still means replaying to it. Do not confuse playing music with finding the nine collectible sheets.
Lord of War — Collect the upgrades for both Sammy and Stallion in one playthrough. Strip attachments from found guns and enemies even if you do not want to use them. Search all eight stashes and check your inventory before leaving an area; finding a gun without taking its parts does not finish the job.
My full-checklist approach would include these parts, rather than trying to guess which shared accessories the tracker needs:
- Sammy: burst-fire system, semi-automatic system, standard and high-capacity magazines, sniper and heavy stocks, reflex sight, 6x scope and red laser.
- Stallion: suppressed short barrel, full-auto long barrel, balanced and heavy grips, extended and high-capacity magazines, reflex and closed-reflex sights, and green laser.
Useful landmarks: the early NVG-building stash for Sammy's burst-fire kit; the sniper's rifle for its semi-auto/sniper kit; the police-station side dock for heavy stock and larger magazine; and the construction-site cache for Stallion's heavy/full-auto kit. The construction-site switches go 3–1–2 when numbered from left to right. Weapon-part progress is the one I would not leave for a later separate run.
PS5 note: players still report some DLC and NG+ trophies failing to unlock despite meeting the requirements. I have not verified an official fix that makes the current version immune. Keep the run evidence and a recoverable save where your platform allows it; don't delete your profile or factory-reset the console just because a forum suggests it.
