Metro Exodus achievement guide (6/9) Weapons, kills and maintenance Professional — Get a kill with each of these TEN base-game weapons: Revolver, A-shot, Shambler, Bastard, Kalash, Bulldog, Gatling, Valve, Tikhar and Helsing crossbow. A human or mutant kill works. Keep a checklist rather than guessing which one you used. Pick up and use the Gatling from Yamantau’s armored enemy before moving on; look for the Bulldog and Valve in Caspian. The railgun is a Tikhar variation, not an eleventh requirement, and DLC weapons are not needed. Gunsmith — Fully modify ONE weapon across its categories. A Kalash is a simple choice: fit collected parts in the stock/grip, barrel, sight, magazine and gadget slots. Strip useful attachments from found weapons. Spreading five upgrades across five different guns does not satisfy it. Silent marksman — Get 30 Tikhar kills. Take it from Tokarev at the Aurora’s workbench in Volga, keep its air pressure up and use it against mutants or hostile bandits. You do not need 30 undetected kills; the weapon is the requirement. Robin Hood — Get 30 kills with the Helsing crossbow, first picked up from the statue near Taiga’s start. Mutants count, so use those on a peaceful run. Do human-kill cleanup in a separate replay if necessary, not during Forest child. Antibiotic — Kill 300 mutants. Normal combat contributes, and running over Caspian’s mutant packs can work on this alongside Carmaheddon. If you finish short, replay a mutant-heavy area rather than damage a good-crew route for no reason. Headhunter — Kill 300 human enemies. Despite the name, headshots are not required. A safe cleanup spot is Moscow’s enemy train: quicksave before a group, kill the soldiers and reload. Keep this separate from chapters where you are protecting civilians or local factions for the crew outcomes. Saboteur — Perform 50 prompted melee takedowns, lethal or nonlethal. Sneak up and use the knockout prompt on a good-crew run. Do not mistake repeatedly swinging your weapon at a mutant for the required human takedown. Again, no knockouts during Forest child. Sniper / Stand back — Kill 50 enemies from long range. “Sniper” is the PS5 name; Steam/Xbox use “Stand back.” A scoped Valve from a high position in Caspian makes this easier. Pick distant mutants or hostile bandits, save before the group, and repeat if needed. There is no distance shown in the trophy wording, so give yourself generous separation rather than rely on an invented exact meter count. Kaleidoscope — Make three kills while aiming through a sniper scope with your gas mask ON and night-vision goggles ACTIVE at the same time. Use a 4× scope and try it at night in Caspian so you can see properly. An ordinary reflex sight will not do. Having goggles in your inventory without switching them on will not do either. Firebird — Kill a demon with fire. The resting demon beside Nastya’s bear in Volga is a convenient target: sneak up and use Molotovs. Make sure the fire actually finishes it, rather than just setting it alight and then killing it with bullets. Tidyman — Spend 500 chemicals cleaning weapons at workbenches. Reader cleaning costs zero, so use Easy/Normal or another difficulty that actually charges chemicals. If you need to grind it, dirty your guns, save beside a workbench, clean them, reload and repeat. This is a spending total, not “clean a gun 500 times.” Handyman — Spend 500 resources crafting supplies. Ammo, filters, medkits and throwables contribute. Loot material containers and craft what you use at the backpack or a workbench; you do not have to manufacture 500 individual items. Martian — Wear the gas mask until an enemy attack damages it, then use the patch/repair prompt to tape the hole. Replacing a filter is a different action. Last Breath — In a toxic or radioactive area where the mask is required, let your filters run out until Artyom starts suffocating, then immediately open the backpack and craft a new filter. Keep enough crafting materials and a safe quicksave before trying it. Crafting early, before he is gasping, misses the condition. Kill/takedown and resource totals can be built up through replay cleanup on the same save profile. A quicksave-and-reload loop is useful on difficulties that allow it. Never replace a clean Forest child or good-crew save with the aftermath of a farming session.
