Metro Exodus was an extremely good game. The mechanics were deep, the gameplay was deep, and the weapon systems were deep.
The one thing I really liked about it was how much more complex it was than I thought. When I first played it, I thought it was relatively simple. Then the more I played, the more I realized how many deep mechanics it actually had. The weapons, the customizations, the way the lighter works, the way the gear works, the charging systems. There was a lot more going on than I initially realized.
Probably one of the better games I've played in a while.
I'm about to post some guides I put together when I was playing it. The achievement guide first, then one on all the weapons and how to get them, and another explaining the upgrade system and the different options. I'll add some of my thoughts about the individual weapons too.
I still haven't played Metro 2033 or Last Light. I jumped straight into Exodus by mistake and didn't realize there were two earlier games. Once I get done with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1 and 2, I need to go back and play those.
