Tomb Raider was a very special series to me because I grew up on those games. I played the older ones pretty much as they came out, and some of them I played multiple times. When I did my more recent catch-up playthrough, I went through the whole modern Survivor trilogy: Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I absolutely loved the hell out of all three. I beat the shit out of those games. I didn't quite get platinum, but I got the side stuff done and most of the stuff unlocked. I put a lot of time into all three of them. I love the modern interpretation of Lara. I love the storyline, and I really enjoyed the way the gameplay and mechanics worked. Personally, I would have liked to lean into the bow and arrow even more, and I wish keeping myself supplied with arrows had been easier. But overall, it was a great set of games, and I had a lot of fun going through them. While I'm talking about games I want to revisit, a quick shout-out to The Last of Us. I've beaten the first game, but I haven't played through the second one yet. At some point, I want to go back and do a proper, fresh playthrough of both, including Left Behind. That's why I'm not doing a whole big catch-up series of posts on The Last of Us right now. I want to spend some real time with those games, and I'll have a lot more to say when I do that playthrough.
