Blood Mage: Prophecy, from the Blood Mage Trilogy, was my second big novel. I think it turned out a lot better than Crystal Memories, and I had a lot of fun building it.
After writing it, I did a partial rewrite and added a lot. Then I edited the hell out of it. I considered another partial rewrite to develop his wife's character more, but I didn't think it would make much of a difference. In the end, I decided it was good where it was.
Description
In the quiet corners of modern life, John stumbles upon an ancient, sentient book bound by blood and dark magic. Kassandra, the book’s captive seer, holds the key to unimaginable power and a prophecy that could alter the fate of the world.
As John delves deeper into the world of blood magick, he uncovers a hidden legacy and a curse that binds him to Kassandra. Struggling between the allure of immortality and the reality of his own life, John faces visions, dark secrets, and the sinister machinations of those who seek to control the grimoire's power.
A tragic turn of events robs him of his beloved wife. Haunted by his own past and Kassandra's enigmatic whispers, John must navigate a path fraught with danger and betrayal in an effort to save his beloved and fight to remain sane along the way.
His world continues to spiral upside down as he digs deeper into the world of Blood magick, and dark arts.
